I had an engineering professor who used to joke about English majors because his daughter was one. She ended up getting a job doing technical writing for a company and made twice as much as he did as a professor.
He was hilariously proud of her for monetizing that English degree.
I know a girl $60k in debt with theatre degree…. And she was supervising the snack counter at an AMC. Then COVID stopped even that.
it’s really a question of luck in a lot of cases. wish it wasn’t like that.
@@jasmim6612 I don’t begrudge anybody getting the education they want… as long as they can pay for it. I have a hard time feeling charitable to people who chose the most expensive schools on the planet for Philosophy or Art History telling me they need college debt relief.
Engineers are not known for clear easy to understand writing, it got so bad, my group of grads was forced to take a technical communications course in my department.

I don't know did your a fan of JRE but this guy who I skipped over multiple times cause I thought he was gonna be a typical black guy comedian but no he is actually highly intelligent and a cool cool dude. I've been watching ever since I like him a lot now. If it hadn't been for that I'd never have stumbled upon this gem of a dude.

Michael Che has taken the top spot or my fave comedians - and I watch/listen to a LOT haha. I know he's on SNL but I desperately need more straight-up, stand up comedy from him. His voice and delivery are just fucking awesome.

One time I was ordered to clean out my dad's office, not sure why this was my job, but eventually I did it. And came across all the letters they had been sending each other while he was out of town. To this day I still wish so badly my curiosity hadn't gotten the best of me. There were printed photos. Like that you had to go have printed at a store.. that poor photo developer and I share a very sad bond.

Should every citizen be required to learn politics, or is that superfluous? Is an English degree worth $80,000? What's the average global salary (and utility) of English teachers worldwide (maybe teaching people to be bilingual)? Who does Sprint owe money to?
