To get the brushes that are connected with metal, I let the soder gun sit under, after pushing the pin up. I then put a flathead right on the brushes metal and tapped with hammer. Came out like a charm.
So how did you get the end cap with the brushes on? I have been battling it for days and am ready to use it as an anchor. The springs won’t get out of the way and I’ve ruined 2 brushes by pulling it into the holder while pushing the cover on.
It's been a long time I don't remember for sure. I think if you pull the spring ends that go against the brushes and cock them off to the side so they don't push on the brush. That way the brushes have room to stay out of the way. Then after the end is on put the springs back in place pushing on the brush.
@@kevincrawford2027 ok. Thanks. I’ve tried to pull them off to the side and balance on the end of the holder but the slip off or the spring pops off the post.
