- A quick review of the eclipse using HRE 597R wheels. I'm the original owner of this beautiful Eclipse since 1999 and over the years (decades) it's had it's share of various brands of wheels from: Niche Pultec, Racing Harts, STR 607, and even HRE wheels. It's one way of not getting bored with my Eclipse.
The HRE wheels in video are as follows:
Passenger side: 20x11 rear w/285/30/20 & 20x8.5 front w/225/30/20.
Driver's side: STR 607: rear 20x10.5 w/255/30/20 & 225/35/19 front.
I'm going to change the tire sizes during the winter to 255/30/20 front. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Impressive work getting the front that modern looking!
It looks like it could’ve been what the new Eclipse would be like instead of the crossover we got.
Just think. Mitsubishi could bring the second generation Eclipse back and they would be on top of their game using a AWD and engine/trans upgrades and even the exterior could be 100x better looking than mine. For it can't be that hard for designers at Mitsubishi. This was my first design but now I'm designing the second Eclipse. Also I'm modernizing the rear too.
@@madcurls9655 I actually didn't hate the 4th gen style. Wish that had just evolved more - and come out with some turbo models to compete with focus st, gti etc
That front end is gorgeous.
Thanks. Creating another one now, but meaner looking.
Wow!!! That's the best eclipse I ever seen!
Stock look is wayy better but to each his own. Nice work
Yeah, check my CZcams threads and you'll find I'm not married to stock. I'm MODIFIED 4 LIFE.
awesome dude!!! this looks soooo good
Thanks. Updates can be followed on my Instagram account. Currently, the engine has been modified. A few more changes in the back will happened this year (I hope). It was one the only areas that needs a new look.
Front bumper looks sick 😷🔥
Not the easiest modification, but well worth it (IMHO) if you should decide to modernize the front fascia. The TLX headlights are easily found on Ebay and the prices vary from $400-650 and you'll need the 2015-17 TXL pig-tails (wire harness). The car in the video is a custom wide body (front & rear) and the front is widened by 2" thus without the car being widened I doubt likely that the Acura TXL headlights will fit due in part because of the length of the headlights, so "measure twice, cut once."
Bro donde adquirirste esos focos quiero unos para el mío, y wow bro tu auto es una completa belleza😍😍
Id pay you to do this for me idc how much just take my damn money already.
madcurls nice can you post a video of you turning them on at night pls
@@thatguymar3383 There's several pictures and maybe two videos with the lights on. Let me find you them......

the whip looks clean.
Thanks. The Eclipse has changed a bit. Currently designing the backend. Since this video I've also designed a newer style Eclipse.
Rip beautiful eclipse
Nice! Look good
Working on the rear bumper now to match the front. I was too anxious at first and wanted to enjoy my ride, but now I have time. Also, had the original 4g63 professionally rebuilt. I posted a brief video of that process.
Nice car! is modern :D
This should come on a Mitsubishi show
Where did you get the headlights there wicked?
Perfect dark song hell yea
Currently, the HRE wheels in this video have been switched/changed. The centers are the same but the outer and inner lips have changed to chrome/polished clear coated inners and are now found on the LC500 Eclipse.
Can you make a kit I’ll buy it !
Very good looking design! Was it made in fibre glass? (bumper, and Wide body)
Yes. The front was glassed but the wide body (hips) front and rear was created using metal strips welded and then fiberglass over. Other videos briefly demonstrate the process. I've since moved onto another Wide body Eclipse project using the same materials but second build the hips are wider by 2" and the rear bumper now has increased detail. Enjoy.
Amazing

The other build.
Dayum. What headlights are those.
Where can I get that front? Head lights too
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, a skeleton crew, and many people sick from the CORONAVIRUS. I don't see me getting a mold created any time soon. Maybe once everything settles we'll see. Thanks for enquiring.
Crazy fab dude look good.
Acura tsx lights right?
Yes. 2017 Acura TLX
Donde conseguiste esos faros
where did you get your head lights
The headlights are from the 2015-2017 Acura TLX. There are other videos earlier in the build that partly demonstrates the process.
I need those headlights on my 95 Talon, I wonder if it’s possible 🤔
I’ve already contacted a fiberglass builder in making molds .
not a fan of the wheels but i’m totally digging this front end. do you still have this car?
Yes. I’m the owner. As for the STR 607 wheels they were tweaked years ago. They are now a solid white (which was my original idea). The car has at least four or more styles of wheels; Racing Harts/HRE/ & others that I can’t recall. Thanks for the views.
Not bad
Looks awesome but you gotta get better rims
Like str8 black gloss or str8 chrome and the taillights too plus put the gsx wing spoiler on but over all looks great and love the Acura headlights 🤘🏻👍🏻
Esos faros son los que marcan la diferencia
what size rims are those?
Info in description.
At least your timing cover has a vent lol
Believe it or not but the vent actually cools down the engine compartment. I always wondered why didn't Mitsubishi place a vent there.
Holy Grail! How did it cost you overall for the customs?
I kinda went over board on this project for all that you see wasn't necessary. The headlights are costly (unless you find them at a salvage yard) but expect to pay $1,350 for just the lights (TXL, Porsche, & G8 all together). The build was done maybe two years or so ago so the headlights no doubt have gone down in price. The front and rear are widened so add $$$$. I'm not 100% sure you can add the TLX w/o the front fenders being widened but if not then you'll need at least $800 for front fascia modifications and don't forget the TXL wire harness which are about $150 (dealership is about $800). I hope this info helps.
Car looks dope, but the front fenders Mitsubishi logo wasn't necessary !
The rear side skirt vent should't be there at all... Otherwise, nice project bro !
Do You make the body kit i would Buy it!!!
Thats what Iam going to do to my eclipse modern looking chest but 1 back light
Sounds good.
Are those Preus Prime headlights?
No. 2017 Acura TLX headlights.
@@madcurls9655 looks awesome did You fit them with Bondo or Fiberglass? I want to Put Supra Headlights & Tailights on a Celica
Круто смотрится супер. Счего фары поставил бампер ???
How much was it in total?
What's the old saying, "the devil is in the details." TLX headlights, Porsche DLR, and G8 side makers lights found on Ebay can cost you at least $1200 or so, but much less if found at a salvage yard. So if you can find the lights for $200-300 you'll save a ton of money. I bought my lights less than a year old so it's was costly back then. Body work on front fascia was at least $750. Granted, my car is a wide body (front & rear) plus lots of other unseen tweaks so it's a money pit but in many ways it's better than buying a new car. i hope this bit of info helps.
What size rims are those?
The sizes are in the description (show more) and it will list both sizes.
Future eclipse?🤔😈
Currently having the backend revised for a modern look to match the front.
I need that front end
Check out the other build.

Eclipse from cyberpunk be like😎
Are those two different sets of rims?
Yes. This car has at least 4-5 different styles of wheels-including stock.
@@madcurls9655 ok cool. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me or I wasnt hip to some new trend. Haha! I wish you would have made instructional videos on how to do these mods. Looks beautiful!
@@eddyp5071 There's at least 3-4 videos partly demonstrating the details of the build under the same name; madcurl
@@madcurls9655 awesome man! Thanks!
Still got it??
Yes. Now the 4g63 has been modified, Rolloface 14” brakes, & center exhaust.
świała z accorda ? ;p
No interior?
Can you guys make more Jewel head lights? I’ll buy a set!!
The Jewel headlights are OEM Acura headlights. There is another person I’ve seen that makes aftermarket jewel headlights for the Eclipse but that’s not me.
How much?
At the time of the build the labor was around $800 or so. The TLX headlights were expensive and mine were used at around $400 per side. Add another $120 for wire loom (pigtail ends). Porsche DLRs about $120 per side. Pontiac G8 side marker lights around $160 for the smoked set. Grillmate was around $120 or so (they don't sell them anymore).
It look like nsx 2015 front head light.
Yeah, pretty much if it wasn't for the little down turn at the corner.
Mitsubishi 1999
Yes, 1999 Mitsubishi GST
No Wheel horror!
It looks like an nsx type s
wheels on the right looks better
Yeah, this is an old video. Since then the wheels on the driver's side have been powder coated in full white. Even the passenger's side wheels have changed.
Ricer
hahahaha!
The gaps in the hood are horrible and the gap over the front tires isn't even that would drive me nuts. Sorry.
You know the hood is slightly opened, right?
