I really like how the front end come out
Love it.
Good job
So many miles, so many journeys , and so many memories.
You should makes kits and sell them I would totally buy one or maybe just the front end build
U never stopped the top! Only reason I watched video
Damn that's beautiful
Love the work on this
Dude this is really sick!
Thanks. I'm currently building a meaner more aggressive Eclipse. Check my threads for details.
Nice 👍 pretty unique built
Beautiful

Inspirador...
Thanks 🙏🏾
Love it man very impressive. Good job
Thanks. I plan on recreating the same style again on my other GST Spyder.
madcurls I'm gathering parts to doing a custom 2gb talon Spyder. Gonna use the high talon wing but want to cut the middle mount shorter to reduce the rake and move it to the edge of the trunk.
Maybe have the edges on the quarter panel.
I like there way you did the headlights. Gives me some ideas. 🤙
madcurls are those VIS side skirts?
That sounds like a good plan. I look forward in seeing your creation. If I may add; check out Carbonetics. They've created a updated version of the Talon's front fascia.
Yes. They were tweaked. Look at my other video that gives a short version of the build.
I dig the rims man
Thanks. I was trying to capture that old style 1990s Mustang look using these wheels. My initial idea was to have the STR 607 painted white, but others said to leave the wheels as-is. In any case, wheels are like shoes so changing them out is no issue and in other videos of my car you'll see the various wheels have purchased over the last 19-yrs of ownership.
madcurls bad ass man. I've been looking for some rims similar to yours. Black and white or maybe a gloss wet black. I'm so busy wit alot goin on I need to get it going. Hard work pays off and you did it 👏
The wheels in this video are SRT 607 (they also come in gloss black). My sizes featured here are: 19x8.5 front and 20x10.5 rear. Granted, the car is a custom wide body thus the size mention isn't for a OEM Eclipse.
Very good job. Would love to have this front too
Thanks for the compliment. It's been a dream of mine for quite some time wondering if one could change the front fascia without damaging the look and feel of the Eclipse's DNA.
You definitely did an excellent job with that. Those are NSX headlights right?
No. TLX
madcurls ok thanks 👍🏻
There's other videos of the car with a better description. It's hard to see from this video, but there's a lot more details involved to make the headlights work. I'm not sure about other year Eclipses but the modifications should work on 1997-99 Eclipses (more details on Instagram). I don't know about previous years and/or Talons. I hope this info helps. Thanks for watching.
Wow! I remember the day I took this video thinking back on the long journey of how much time, energy , and the consent ideas going through my brain to come up with this idea of making the Eclipse different. It saddens me that Mitsubishi killed our little car. I hope somebody at Mitsubishi is looking at the car they stopped producing. The DSM has sparked many fires in the hearts of those that are now entering they're late 30s-4s0-and maybe even 50s.
For me in 1999 was a good year and I quickly got me a GST spyder. I wanted a GSX spyder but Mitsubishi didn't make them so I got the next best thing. Over the decades and many miles this little car resulted in me having 492,000 miles on the original engine. Yes. The has been slightly hit in the front and the rear with a minor scratch and even the driver's side door was hit when a guy backed into while I was getting gas.
Initially, my plans where to sale the car and purchase a G35 but that deal fell through the cracks which brought me back to my original love-the Eclipse. So I decided to change the appearance by modernizing the front fascia. I did all of the measurements and finally got down to business. Trends (the shop) knows me from previous builds where I tend to tweak my cars-so that was no surprise to them. I never did get around to tweaking the rear bumper because I simple wanted to enjoy my car. Since the build the car's engine was too tweaked.
A few carbon fiber items have arrived and maybe, just maybe I'll tweak the rear using different taillights (but that's it). The suspension has been upgraded and so too the trans. If you see me going up and down the hwy give me a thumbs up, because Mitsubishi don't make cars like this any more. Also, those white/black wheels are now powder coated white. I never was a fan of them. I only wanted alternative wheels for the winter.
madcurls plz PM me I want to talk bout how u did the lights can’t find on how u did them I’m in love with the look plz let me know what u would have to do to achieve this goal of that look
Congrats, I too have a dsm and trust me, you dodged a bullet not getting the g35. Their engines (vqhr, de35) suck. No potential to them. Not like the 4g63. I too got me a gst spyder and did the AWD swap and as time goes by and these cars get harder to find I appreciate mines more and more
@@tonyrodriguez3510 Thanks. I'm glad too (now that I look back). If I may add. The DSM has a lot of unchartered areas of designs that being the headlights. Currently, I'm on the second fascia design using the Lexus headlights.
@@badassvibe9308 Wow! Sorry for the slow delay but I just saw your post. I think you'll find many details of the build by reviewing some of the older youtube videos.
@@madcurls9655 just subscribed, cant wait to see what the end project will turn out like. I wish I had your skills, theres alot you can do to the eclipse to further enhance the beauty that only a few people see
Very cool, it came out beautiful. You did a great job. I'm just wondering what mirrors you're using. I want to do this to my eclipse but with my own personal touch.
OEM Ferrari 360. The Eclipse mirrors were too short due to the car being a custom wide body. The F360 stick outside the body allowing for side viewing. The buttress is widened by 3"
best looking eclipse ever,, 9/10 change the rims and it would be perfect..
Thanks for the compliment. Check the other videos and you'll see grey, black, and silver.
Rims look fine 2 me
Cuales son esos faros adaptados??? Dónde los compro?
I purchased all of the electrical parts on eBay. You'll need the wire harness (pig tail ends) from the 2017 Acura TLX. You can buy them to at a junk yard that has a 2017 Acura TLX, maybe to the headlights. The fabrication to your Eclipse is the hard part.
alguem me informa onde faz essa manutenção no farol?
Great job. I would like to see a hard top like this
A good friend of mine is going to tweak his Talon using the Acura TLX headlights. Stay tuned!
This is sick man!! Hands down face lift.
Where and how did you do that front bumper fog lights?
The 2015 Porsche Cayenne DLR up front with OEM Mitsubishi Eclipse fog lights towards the inner corners. Initially, the DLRS wasn’t being used but after viewing the front fascia I think the Porsche Cayenne lights added more detail. You can see other older videos w/o them on my threads.
Where did you get those headlights?
The headlights are from the 2017 Acura TLX. The DLRs are from the Porsche Cayenne, and the side marker lights are from the Pontiac G8. There are other videos that go into detail about the build under the name, madcurl.
Thanks for viewing.
info on the front swap. looks beautiful. what headlight are those.
The headlights are from the Acura TLX (all 3-Years 2015-2017 are the same). The lower turn lights the 2014-2016 Porsche Cayenne. The front fascia is OEM but heavily modified which includes the front fenders all of which allows for a smooth transition for the TLX headlights to fit. Aside from that you'll need the wire harness from the Acura TLX headlights (pigtails). I hope this added info helps.
madcurls wow. they sure look great man. i wonder how it would look on the hatchback eclipse.it kinda gives it a 1g front end look. i love it. i wonder if the chevy volt tail lights would look good.. i can see ppl doing this in the future. and you should come up with a kit and sell them
It's my guess that the results would be the same since hatchback and Spyders are pretty much the same in the front. STAY TUNED: A friend of mine is planning on doing the same for his car, but it's a Talon.
As for the rear- I guess anything is possible given peoples creativity. However, like the front you'l have to find a production car with a similar buttress.
madcurls they always look different. atleast to mee. especially with the top down 😀
madcurls you should take a night vid
How did u do all of this? Because i want to try.
Not easy but with patience and determination you can do it. The only down side is time and money for the headlights aren't cheap. The prices vary but your looking at $700-850 in lights along (used). Buy a Carbonic's front fiberglass bumper and you need the pig tails light wiring from the Acura 2017 TLX ($100 or so). I would check out the other build videos before you decide to start cutting.

Side Mirrors are from which donor car? Nice Car, by the way...Looks modern!
Thanks. The side mirrors are OEM Ferrari F360. The F360s necessary to clear the rear buttress. The Eclipse in the video is a custom widebody (front & rear).
Thats what the Eclipse should sort of look like if Mitsubishi brought it back. If they whould. sigh 😧

czcams.com/video/9uvfgtMBbx4/video.html
TLX head lights ??
Yes. 2015-17 Acura TLX with 2015 Porsche Cayenne turn lights & 2009 Pontiac G8 side marker lights.
Did you modified the bumper so they can fit? 🤔
Bro I got job for u can u make my front just like that. Nd how much. Will cost just to have the. Front like that
Thanks for the compliment, but as for the front fascia it would be cost effective if a mold was created. Drum up 20-25 DSMs and maybe this can be possible and cheaper per person. I've been down this road before and believe me. Some might pay for a front fascia but many may not. If I may add. This Eclipse is a wide body (front & rear) thus it's not only the front fascia but also the front fenders and too are the rear hips. Therefor getting the front only would look strange and out of place. The rear bumper too is widened. See, it's a ;to more involved that the video places over.
More vids plz . Personally the gst wing would have been better . Imo

I just made another video.
Awesome job man. I love the headlight mod. What's your Instagram? Where are you from?
Instagram is under Mr.madcurls. Many pictures there showing partly the build(s). This was my first rodeo from 2017. Now I'm working on the second build. It's a bit more aggressive and wider. Enjoy.
Alguien me puede decir de que modelo son los faros delanteros que están bellos
2017 Acura TLX
It would be awesome if that was the 5g Mitsubishi eclipse
You know, Mitsubishi could and it would no doubt ring in car sales. VW, Chevy, and Ford has done it, so why not Mitsubishi.
@@madcurls9655 if I find a eclipse 2gen could you do that work on my I like it how it looks. It would be awesome if Mitsubishi would see those eclipses like that
@@Marco213s.mexicanpower There's one guy ahead of you awaiting the TLX fascia and body modifications.
@@madcurls9655 I'm ready to dump a ton of money into a project like this if you could show me how or point in the right direction.
@@FckYouImaWizard The prior year and partly 2021 is wacked. I'm just getting back on track but I hope to have copies of the TLX/Eclipse front fascia.
where did you buy the bumper
The bumper is a one off custom so to are the fenders and rear hips.

@@madcurls9655 You can make me some the bumper and the sides. the headlights I buy. esque I have a 1998 mitsubishi eclipse car
@@juanquino8185 Hopfully soon in the near future but right now with the viruses running amok I'll have to wait.
Wear can i buy thses??
I have a very close friend whose looking into this with a local shop in town. I will get more info after the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
Also, something else. This car is a front & rear custom wide body, so if there was copies made of the front fascia you'd need the front fenders too plus modifying the hood lip (edge). I'm not how that would look with the front being widened and the rear OEM. Widening the rear is simple and there's a youtube video of that process.
Wheel horror no gusta !
Ya le cambie el color a los rines ahora son todos blancos.
This music is terrible.i want to hear the car.not some tycho rip off.
Regarding the engine (at the time of the video) there was nothing to write home about. I was so tried after tweaking the car I just randomly picked a tune that suited my exhaustion. However, this is how I feel now: czcams.com/video/sICoSCZyBE8/video.html
Did I get to the dark side of CZcams again? 🤮🤮🤮
Yep. The very dark side of modified, hahaha!
@@madcurls9655 agreed.
