Uploading this to praise stellar performance of magnificent Kurt Moll :) - Hudba
Moll is not only the most fantastic basso profundo, with that black color and low range, but see how well he sings the high notes. When he starts the phrases up on the high note "tra la ley la", notice how he doesn't have to scoop or slide up there, no strain at all. For this kind of bass, that's remarkable. I love Kurt!
This video is seriously underwatched.
AB-SO-LUTE-LY wonderful! What a marvelous pair they were . . . and the magnificence of Moll is a wonder of the world!
What a rich voice... A true bass
Rest In peace Kurt Moll
😑
Two greats who left and left us their art.
Moll would be my first choice for almost anything he would do. The voice alone is so extraordinary, then you add his consummate artistry and then you fall in love with. He makes it look so easy!
with no hesitation my first choice Osmin: the wonderful Kurt Moll and what a joyfull performance with Solti's quick baton..
Rest in peace prince of the dark deep notes
Great performance! Moll is hilarious, as well as a true Bass, and van der Walt plays an elegant Spanisch Nobleman (looks and manners ), he can't believe he's so rudely treated! Even though he pronounces "Ho-u-s" or "Ouf" instead of "Haus" and "Auf" and makes mistakes ( wrong lyrics ). And the action should take place in the 16th century.
Tolles stück
Thank you for sharing Andorino.
What a voice and resonance.
RIP cher Moll! I miss you....
RIP Deon van der Walt (#botd in 1958) 💔
Great performance
Certainly praise to Kurt Moll, but also to Deon van der Walt, a fine singer, murdered by his own father.
Wish I had a tenor friend to sing this duet, alas, just a dream
i like this scene so much
Feels like a bass vs tenor piece
true!
So wonderful!!!! Thank you!!!!
The tenor is Deon van der Walt. He was from South Africa. He died tragically at home at the age of 47 (if I'm not mistaken). He seems to have been shot by his own father.
Sad memories.
He was shot in the chest twice by his father who then killed himself. Seems to have been a dispute over the family farm.
I read an article about that, it's really sad.
Just stunning! ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Glorious!
Kurt!!!
You know that voice immediately!
Love it 😘😘😘😘❤❤❤❤
Fantastic! Thanks.
Grande el bajo profundo
His voice is totally even from down to top i know only one other singer with this ability Jussi Björling.
What a remarkable but yet enigmatic man Mr. Mozart was.
Excellent!
Me gustan todas las óperas de Mozart, pero posiblemente esta sobre las demás. Ests versión es maravillosa
A mí esta y La Flauta Mágica
Nochmal
Lol @ Moll's hideous beard :) He's the best Osmin, btw.
Well, I prefer Gottlob Frick, but Moll is great as well.
the rope of the first act will sound dangerous in the final act!
