To listen to Herr Moll sing is like being invited to be part of the happiest day of his life ... not only is he the best, but his humility and friendliness and joy just comes out to meet you and carries you entirely away!

@@elisecurran9497 He was capable of singing the F below that( contra F). Russian Basso profondo Vladmir Miller himself gave an account of this. With Kurt's Bb1 being this projected , no doubt he was capable of going lower than this.

Miller has only a few notes in the deep
He has NOTHING in the height.

EVERY bass who has deep notes ALSO has to have high notes!
When he has not, he is not a singer!
He can count bottles in a fabric, haha.
      2 octaves are the minimum!
When Miller not "trained" the high notes, why he sings this Sadko aria and blames the guild of singers?

      WHY should I be happy?
Yes! Vladimir Miller is not a singer!
He is a grumbler and a ceaker.
When one has no 2 octaves SAFE he is NO singer!
      Listen young man:
      I have 2 1/2 octaves.
From C to g1 and safe!
It is the range of Cesare Siepi.
      FULL voice!
1967 I sang very young to Gottlob Frick in Munich and was his only student.
I moved from Düsseldorf to Munich in 1967.
But I knew always, I never can go on stage when 4.000 eyes look at me.
Frick asked me always to continue to become his follower.
Frick was 61 years old in 1967.
And to be an operasinger is not a dream job.
Not at a province theatre and not as a world star, living on airports in planes and in strange hotels in strange cities.
So I have a much more better life not to be a singer.

Kurt Moll, whom I know best since his early days in Wuppertal in the 60th of the last century, before he went to Hamburg, did a lot of buffo-operas.

that's actually how it's written in the notes, probably for comedic effect. The bass is supposed to open his mouth wide

Kurt Moll sings with three voices. His high notes have nothing to do with his deep.
