Remi! As a fellow PCOS girlie I’m so happy youre figuring out your hormones! Regarding the MRI, I had a few blood clots in my brain two years ago which led to a seizure (I am okay now lol). I’ve had MRIs since and also had a panic attack for my first one. For my second one I told them I was claustrophobic and they gave me an IV with medicine to calm my nerves and made it 100x better!! I’d recommend asking for the medication when you have to go back!
Three kids is insane! I have a 7 year old, 4 year old and 3 year old. It is so so hard and so expensive. My youngest was born with a webbed membrane in her small intestine and entrance of her colon and nothing prepares you for multiple kids and one with health issues. It is not easy. I thought having lots of kids would be so amazing but it is so hard. I do not regret my children by any means but it is so hard with them being young and my husband In the military. Definitely go into it knowing it won’t always be easy but the chaos will be worth it. Motherhood is a beautiful mess

Favorite song by Drake is Too Good. I really appreciate Remi being so open about her PCOS journey. I am currently going through the same thing and I just hate being tired all the time. Sometimes I just feel so discouraged with my progress. This podcast and just both of the ladies in general make me so happy and I wish I was apart of their friend group lol❤ 💧

I had an appointment with a male gynecologist over the phone and he was the rudest doctor I had ever had a conversation with. It was so bad I ended up switching doctors but when I went in I asked the receptionist how I could make a complaint, she gave me a form and basically put down the experience and how negative it was! My whole life I always just sucked it up but I think we get to a point in life where some things are unacceptable! I hope you never get treated by that doctor and I am happy you at least had a nurse to compensate for the horrible treatment! Sending lots of love 😘

Remi I get like that with my MRI's too and idk how it is in the states but i'm in Canada and my doctor prescribes me lorazepam to take before my MRI's! otherwise I would be panicking too.
The only downside is you have to get someone to drive you to and from obviously because you can't drive on it. It's just a tiny dose to calm you down basically. I wonder if your doctor could give you just one dose of that to take before you go in?

I always tell my bro and sis they are going to be blessed with twins because Karma loves those types of scenes 😂 I've always wanted twins but definitely want my the first kid to be a single baby and twins later

You should see if your doctors could prescribe Ativan or Xanax for when you get MRI to ease the anxiety!
Remi, I am so sorry you had to experience being treated that way while in a setting where most of us would feel vulnerable. It sucks that this happens. Personally, it makes me hesitate seeking medical help or sometimes I even cancel treatments after a couple visits because I realised my concerns were not taken seriously and I was basically paying money to be disrespected. I am really glad you spoke up though! Hoping I can muster that energy soon too.
lol twin convo is something my boyfriend and I have all the time , he is an identical twin and we had a set of fraternal twins and fraternal twins run on my side of the family lol
Hey Remi, I study Medical Physics and I already did an Internship on MRI and Scanes so I thought i would give you guys some insight. Is part of the protocol to ask the patient if they are claustrophobic or not. They do this in order to pair these patients with a nurse who can provide support in case of a panic attack during the procedure. The reason for using a mask during the MRI is related to the varying intensity of radiation across different parts of the scan. For instance, areas with thicker skulls require a higher radiation intensity. The mask serves as a guide to ensure the MRI is as accurate as possible. The mask ensures accuracy and avoids exposing you to extra radiation. Props to you for handling it well. Much love from Albania

I had the same experience with an MRI technician. Total a holes, basically pushed me out because my appointment was at 6pm and they didn't want to work. They said the didn't understand the orders which is concerning. I also need contrast. I left and complained to the hospital. I have to ask for a sedative. My new appointment is at a new location because the way I was treated. So unprofessional
