Not only do you save time and money but you can have a fresh cut whenever you want.
bro I need one 😢
True
Growing up my family didn't have much money. My dad used to just give me a buzz cut. When I got older and got my first job I went to the barber and got my haircut. Spent $16. Then I realized how much of a waste of money it was. I started experimenting when I was about 16 on how to cut my own hair, first few times were a disaster and I completely fucked up. But over the years I got better and better, now I'm 22 years old and have have almost never been to a barber. I can do everything, fades, undercut, regular cut, edging etc.
My tip for all beginners - just do it, if u mess up it ok, wear a hat for a few days, you will eventually get better and you wallet will thank you.
Plus you'll save so much time which you can never get back. Cheers.
And get it how ever you want exactly
Facts
For those who don't know, "open" and "closed" refers to the setting of the blades via that lever on the left of the clippers. The up position is "open" for a longer cut; the down position is "closed" for a shorter cut.
Nathaniel Aiken So when the clippers are open, is it good for blending?
Nathaniel Aiken ....thanks!
THANK YOU BUNCHES.
Thanks!
THANKS BRUH
Who's here because of COVID-19?
ME
Me😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yup!
I did a decent job if I say so myself.
😂😂
As a person who hates to socialize with random people this is perfect
HangingWithLeeTV lol
I'm also here because I hate going to the barbershop
You spend $25, spend an hour, and have to listen to the barber talk on the phone while ignoring you.
Omg! I just made a comment on here pertaining to that. I've had the worst experiences dealing with these dip shit, unprofessional, ass hole barbers. Im done dealig with them.
And it’s every week which ends up almost $100 a month
Then barbers get an attitude when you mention to them about time being waisted, hell we paying for the service.
@@adolfhitler2683 nigga wtf first of all 25 dollars is overpriced as fuck max is 15 and second youre supposed to go every two weeks
Thought this was just my experience..
Been cutting my own hair for about 20 years. These videos are life savers. Taught myself how to fade my own hair, and I cut both of my sons hair. You have to be patient and take your time. I use Andis, Oscars, and then a small rechargable for line ups. If you think about it the clippers pay for themselves, especially since I'm cutting three heads, don't have to drive anywhere, and don't have to tip on top! Don't get me wrong, I do have a barber that I'm loyal to, but have gotten compliments on my hair from him too. Do it yourself, the satisfaction of it is better then having someone else do it.
I have to cut my own hair now with this virus but these videos are great to learn
Can tell me what specific Clippers to get. Link? Or something?
I fucked up

I've had it with barbers. IT IS TIME!
Bro how did it go?
They fucked up my hairline, i had to grow it back for months now im thinking of cutting my hair myself
@@commonsensedatcom they recently fucked up mine too😭😭
Me too. Man I had barbers high as hell cut my hair, and barbers going all outside leaving me in the chair. I’m done!!!!
Shaved my hair for the first time today. Took me about 30 mins. Came out really well. faded the sides and the back following this tutorial and borrowed a few tips from what i'd seen my barber do 1000 times and over. A few pointers for first timers ...
1. Go really slow - you are most likely not used to handling the clippers in a reverse view
2. Stop frequently to comb or brush your hair at the places you're working on to see how it is going
3. Clean the mirrors really well
4. Get enough lighting
5. Always start with the open blades so you can easily correct mistakes
6. When your wrists get tired, take a short break
7. Take time with the finishing, like smoothing the surfaces and trimming the edges
WOW ,I tried it myself and it came out AWESOME. Thanks Lee 😊
+John Mendez No problem bro! I'm glad I could help out!
I made it all the way to the end. I cut my head using the 1 guard. I felt proud of myself. Then I made the FUCKING mistake and tried to touch it up while the guard was off. I forgot I took the guard off. DAMN
Bro your comment had me weak for a straight minute 😂
HAHAHAHAHA
My mother did that one time...😭
damn my nigga. that shits rough. thats why god invented the hat lol
LOOOL bruh I almost choked on my food
one time i cut my own hair and i forgot to put the gard on and well......i was bald for 2 weeks
Trey Valentin same here bro :(
lmaooo everyone in da comment section saying da same shit yall niggas got me weak bruh. one nigga said he went back to touch something up and forgot to put the guard back on lmao
Trey Valentin hahaha
Hahahah lol 😆
Lol I did that with my beard😂😂😂
1) Don't want to spend the money
2) Don't want to wait/fall asleep
3) Don't want someone to mess up. If I mess up, that's on me. That, and I'm getting a buzz cut that month
I swear to god that shit takes so long if you dont make an appointment
It's much more fun doing it yourself because you know your preferences and how creative you could be with it
Yeah I agree. I usually turn on some good music and give it a go!
Thanks for this video. I have 4 boys so this is sooo helpful
to much kids gurll

Ebony S. Thanks!!
After viewing tones of videos, i am so happy I found you. The instruction is just perfect. THANK YOU!!!
Great instructions. Thanks for your video. Keep posting.
Now i dont have to wait til my barber gets off the phone while im just sitting on the seat and awkwardly stared at by a bunch of awkward teenagers that don't know what to do with their lives! Thank you man
Just cut my hair today for the first time ever. Thank you for posting this video... helps me soooo much with stepping up to cut my own hair. Keep the videos coming !!!
Great video ! I did my first hair cut turned out good better with practice
Wow. Man you did an amazing job!! I can remember seeing my cousin cut his own hair. He saved a lot of money. Now that this Corona is here, there are no barbershops open, therefore, I will be learning how to cut my own hair.
How did it go? Thinking of doing it next weekend
For a 1.5 guard, you can use the 1 guard and open your clipper. I have even opened our clippers 1/4 of the way with the 1 guard for my husband's fade.
Totally agree about going to the barber. For years I let a barber cut my hair like every six weeks to two months. He never had much to cut, but it would always take an hour or more to get the job done because he talked too much to me and his fellow barbers, and he also took phone calls. Three months ago I put an end to all that, and now I cut my own hair every three weeks, saving $25-$35 per month. I don't style my hair as much as you do, but I keep it cut and clean. No more wasting time at the barber.
Great video I like the background music, you also gave us great reason why we should cut are own hair and also the visuals were easily understood! I would like to see how you would cut a high and tight.
+Jawan Larkin wow thanks for the feedback that was awesome to read yah I definitely want to try to cut some other styles for you guys. The only thing is I typically wear my hair a certain way so I got to be prepared lol 😂
+HangingWithLeeTV you got a subscriber in me bro. Thanks for all these videos. Good deal 👍
I'm trying to work up the courage to cut my own hair. Thanks for the vid.
Why?
You can add "because I'm in quarantine"
Thanks for this video! I was growing out my hair again and just couldn't...it was driving me nuts. I miss playing around with different short styles under 3" top and fading on the sides and a little in the back. Plus if I mess it up a little, I can let it grow out and try again. usually I do decent except for a little touch up that my friends or fam will fix for me...
Also, if you have nappy, ethnic or thick hair, wash it and pick it out! It keeps the blades from pulling and ends in a better cut overall!
Why does he look like king Bach? Lol
Siope Filimoehala I looked up who that was lol. I can see why you say that. Sort of lol.
Siope Filimoehala on god😂
Siope Filimoehala is it bc he is blacc
Siope Filimoehala it’s his dad
Siope Filimoehala i was thinking young Derek Fisher
Nathaniel Aiken.
Thank You, For
Explaining. The Barbers,
Never Say Anything.
Blessings, Sir.
Here because of lockdown. Time to learn to cut my own hair 👌🏾👊🏾💯
I recently moved from CT to MD and haircuts went from being $15 or $10 on special (haircut + face + blade + even eyebrows) to $25. I thought it was crazy till I realize that it's actually the market price and pretty much the same everywhere I checked (I did find this small place that charged $20), and keep in mind this is without tips.
So BEST BELIEVE my frugal ass is gonna learn to cut my own hair!
Thank you for the video I'm about to try to cut my hair for the first time I think this was a very informative video thanks again bro!!
Thanks Lee! Since my shops are closed in my town, I appreciate your tutorials.
this video really helped thanks so much
Cool, I din't wanna pay for a barber so this was good
nice one i have straightened hair i dont have your kinda hair and ive never seen someone be able to cut it themselves well done
Lee, your hair cut tutorial is excellent.
I enjoyed your video.
I would love a more detailed video on the edge up itself.
How to know where you make your lines.
Should one round off the peaks, cut them off or make them pointy.
Either way thank you for this information.
I really like your approach; very knowledgeable and personable.
Smashing video. i am gonna try this now. I dont need no barber breathing down my neck this period of the coronavirus
Yeh, man! I'm "bout to save some money, time and gas! I've been wanting to know how to do this for years! Thanks, Lee! Awesome tutorial!
I'm here because of COVID-19
I'm going to try cutting my hair myself tomorrow.

Its crazy how a clean cut can literally change how you look as a whole good video
I think you should cover how to use the clips and how to shape up your beard. Show the equipment more and how you put it together.

Great job mate, I cut my hair too and I still learned a lot from this video. Thanks

+John BgooD how did it turn out bro?
Howzit Lee, tell me what's the other clipper you used to clean the side?
I feel like this video (and other like it) are about to blow up, lol. (that stay-at-home-order life)
what was your technique to line up the back of your hair
Well done bro
You have taught me well
Thank you for the epic handy video
currently cutting my boyfriends hair... and i cant stop watching this man cut his hair he is so fine lol!
+Jami Buckner thanks!
Who's here while in quarantine...?
A useful video to watch! Thanks for the video
great and helpful video man you are great thanks and post some more like these
+Johann Grant I have more coming soon!
nice job......and I totally agree about the saving money. I also have a real hard time finding a talented barber...especially one who knows how to edge up someone who is graying. How many times have I had bad skin irritation from someone trying to force an outline where there is no dark hair!!! Sooo been cutting my own for a while now. But honestly---when trying to do a fade on yourself.... it's almost impossible to get a really good transition from light to dark, as you would from a barber.
good job my brother in clippers haha. looks clean. maybe I should have done a talk through on my haircut video on my page. but it wasn't really a tutorial, just a how I do it video. nice videos, I'm checking a few of them out now
OK. Thanks Lee.
Thank Lee this video helped me cut my hair
I liked this vid but wat i wanted to see was how would you do your edge up and this helped me with my haircut and btw that hair salon is right around the corner
I have been cutting my own hair for over ten years! I dont trust barber's equipment and I have saved thousands of dollars.
Big up yoself yute!! Good vid!! Gave me confidence to cut my own hair! Good luck with all your future endeavors
Bro thanks so much this tutorial help me so much 😎
I was looking for a video like that, thanks 🙏🏻
Really good job. I feel like your hair is easy to cut tho
Well easier than mine I should say
Thanks alot very informative video
That's really good! I def like your tutorial and I'm learning a lot.
Great video. Thanks
This is an awesome video bro.
He look look like Skipper Da Flipper
Lmaooo
I'm not going to lie, I came here because I'm scared of contracting COVID-19 at the barbershop. Gotta get it right with this video.
Great video man. You did an awesome job
Thanks bro!
That boy is good!
Great haircut 👍🏾
Good Job! Thank You!
wow. thats not bad. look pretty clean cut and professional. the top line on your head. i have the same issue with mine. it will look kinda lop sided as to even and level. even after i go to a barber ill still notice the same thing after i leave the shop. its almost like an optical illusion when i finally notice it after a cut. like my hair grows more on that side than the other and the barber thinks he should try and not cut too much from that side for some reason.
great video tho.
awesome vid as always..
Thanks!
Beautiful vid brotha..thank you.I been cutting my hair the last couple of months. Iam no pro but work in progress. However I have yet to outline my hair or shape it out..what's your technique for that?
Thank you for showing me how to cut my own hair
Now i can do it myself
Hey bro I like your videos you make it look so easy I'm barley going to start cut my own hair
+kingjohn818 Give it a shot man it isn't so bad! I admit you may mess up a little bit at first. But worse come to work you can go to the barbershop. Then just try it again the next time! Just take your time and never cut too much hair off!
+HangingWithLeeTV Yeah your right I agree man cause I'm tired of paying 25 every two weeks. Good thing you have a beard cause I have a beard too just like yours so It helped a lot watching your video explaining the haircut with beard.
Excellent video
