Man fr. I pretty much over the years would cut my own hair from time to time, but what better time to level up and get better. I need to go get a 0 guard and some better clippers asap
Wow bro you actually took your time to show us the viewers what we are really suppose to do lol Thank so much for telling us every detail. This is the video I was really looking for
CEONTHEMAKING Glad you're back. Got my Andis master and magnetic combs. Watched your vids a thousand times now ready to cut my own hair !! Excellent video
Thanks man, now I can finally taper my neck and maybe even taper my son's now, since you've posted the video. It's very easy to follow. Thanks once again!
That is nice and clean. The part that gets me to this day is where the durag line is in the back. Everyone else tells me it's fine but to me it's just so so and I've been cutting my own hair for years. Man you do a real good job.
I just recently started cutting my own hair doing the taper fade.but ive been doing it with a small beard trimmer with a clip on guard, I get the same results but as soon as I can ima go get a professional hair trimmer. it comes out good still because ive been going to barbers to get fades for like 20 something years now so I know how to do it by having seen it done soo many times ,got tired of going and waiting for barbers ,waiting on people and spending 20 bucks(including tip),,so I figured id do it alone and it saves time and money,,,thanks for the video
+latinladiesman1 I just started cutting my own hair too.I've been through 4 barbers in the past year and I just got fed up!No more waiting on barbers,no more being stood up,no more screw ups on my head and lastly,no more inflationary charges!
Yo... watched several vids of how to taper own hair and almost gave up. Decided to try one more time after finding this vid, and glad I did! Excellent instruction my brother!!! Excellent!!!
I feel it bro. Everybody is different, so it's just a matter of personal preference. I don't think it's about being able to afford a haircut..plenty of people can afford $300/yr, but if you can learn to do it yourself and make it look nice then why not?
Your an idiot, if you can cut like or better than a barber, do it yourself. I have had some good barbers but disappointed by most, now that I cut my own hair, I'm never disappointed and I save money, plus gas and time waiting for the cut.
ive seen a lot of supposedly tutorials on how to fade, but most of them did not cater to the beginners, so it seemed like rocket science. this tutorial is honestly the best ive seen. ill subscribe and go by your techniques. thank you, keep up the good work
I'm just afraid to taper the back , since I have a tail and not only that but, I have two caulicks( not sure if, I spelled it right ) on back of hair. Thank You for your video.it really helped me a lot.
You show very good detail on the back of the head . Some videos do not show the set stages of how its done. I got the line up kind of down better so i will follow your way
AYYYE I was the one who requested thanks for following back on it man and doing the vid really appreciate it! Hope your having a great new year so far and I'll be looking more into your videos this year man! Thanks!
Great video CEO! Really helped out with cutting wife's hair. Man, we travel overseas and I can't tell you how difficult it is to find barbers, so... but anyway, thanx again and much success to you in the future.
First, that taper is clean. You did a great job. Second, I've decided to subscribe to your channel- this was the most transparent presentation of a taper I've seen and your my first click when I decided to look into this. A question: if I have zero hair-cutting experience, but a steady-hand (I draw), will this be difficult? I'm going to try anyway but I just want an opinion for reassurance.
for example, when you make your first guideline, go over it in every direction to assure that its even. Sometimes its easy to not be thourough and it makes neat fading harder..
I need to learn how to cut my own hair, my dad cuts mine and I’m tired of getting flamed because of how he does it smh I don’t have a job so I can’t really afford to go to a barbershop, what I can do is learn how to DIM (do it myself) I’ll prolly get made fun of the first couple of times but practice makes perfect 🤷🏾♂️
So since my hair is a lot longer, does that mean at the start of the taper I should start with the lever all the way closed & open up from there? I'm just learning so sorry if it's a stupid question
@ceonthemaking I only have a 1, 2, 3 and 4 guards. No 1/16, 1 and 1/16 etc guards. Will I still be able to achieve a completed fade with those guards using the same Andis Master clipper that you are using?
Hey, that was a great job with the cut. Let me ask you...Where did you find your music to add to your video? I have a few video I will be working on and wanted some good instrumentals to use. Thanks for your help! DJ
It's Kool to have the ability to do your own hair, real talk. But, I think you should drop the fade lower, knowing that you have a tall neckline. Reason being, the higher the fade, the taller your neck looks. No disrespect!!!
Can you get the same results if you use a cheap pair of Wahl clippers? Like the 20$ ones? Because I've noticed that the number one guard and number two guard is really hard to take out the line u can't really fade that...so do u need an expensive pair of clippers for fading?
I'm sure it's possible for someone really advanced, but just like everything else, you usually get what you pay for. Having the right clippers will definitely make fading easier and give you the best results.
I've always been good at lining myself up but this right here is exactly what I need, Thanks!
Who else qaurintined because the Carona virus so we gotta watch this 😂
Hell yeah
Hell yeah
Me!!!!lol. I just want a taper fade in the back, nothing else.
Man fr. I pretty much over the years would cut my own hair from time to time, but what better time to level up and get better. I need to go get a 0 guard and some better clippers asap
This applies to everyone in earth , did you post this prior to your Mensa meeting?
Fucked my whole head up
Still worth it.

CEONTHEMAKING Glad you're back. Got my Andis master and magnetic combs. Watched your vids a thousand times now ready to cut my own hair !! Excellent video
Right on! I'm glad to hear that. Let me know if you have any questions along the way. As always practice makes perfect!

I just started cutting my own hair too.I've been through 4 barbers in the past year and I just got fed up!No more waiting on barbers,no more being stood up,no more screw ups on my head and lastly,no more inflationary charges!
+collegeprince ,,yea I hear you,,,,i mean ive had the same barber for years,,but yea the waiting and money and time gets annoyying
Never seen someone's back hair go so fair down, you should start waving it would look nice. Thanks for the vid
+Jay R Thought I was the only one... dude head go back so far.. it's perfect for the taper tho.
Jay R He has a long ass neck
Jay R 😂😂😂
The durag doesn't cover that area so how would it get waves
Bro got the Kurt Angle shit 😂😂😂😂
I just started watching your videos and you are great with the clippers. Excellent videos for first timers. 💯

Yo... watched several vids of how to taper own hair and almost gave up. Decided to try one more time after finding this vid, and glad I did! Excellent instruction my brother!!! Excellent!!!
Thanks! This is EXACTLY what I needed. i have locs and still ~$30 for a haircut (line and taper) in DC. That life, I am not about.
Yup. it adds up!
why not save $360 a year if you can? especially if you have a dreads...

Shawn McKenzie you can do it.. be thorough in your sections thats the biggest part
Cody the Barber I'm tried it today and it came out pretty good but I know it could be better. what did u mean by sections? that may help me out.
for example, when you make your first guideline, go over it in every direction to assure that its even. Sometimes its easy to not be thourough and it makes neat fading harder..
just make sure each guideline u make, make sure its completely cut down. dont rush
My head gone look like a map 😒
Good tutorial 👍🏼 Thanks!
Good shit bruh.
The beat though!!!
Bro I been cutting my hair for about a year an I still have issues with the back of the neck, you made it look easy lol

I need to learn how to cut my own hair, my dad cuts mine and I’m tired of getting flamed because of how he does it smh
I don’t have a job so I can’t really afford to go to a barbershop, what I can do is learn how to DIM (do it myself)
I’ll prolly get made fun of the first couple of times but practice makes perfect 🤷🏾♂️
Damn bro I got a cut by my dad too, he lined it up and made my sides completely straight like a box. Good thing my hair grew back in like a week
Great videos man! I have a pretty basic clipper with a bunch of different guide combs but no lever. Any tips on tapering without a lever?
Christian Anthony pull off the head..
So since my hair is a lot longer, does that mean at the start of the taper I should start with the lever all the way closed & open up from there? I'm just learning so sorry if it's a stupid question
you would start with it open if that's the case.
Mizzou alumni! Psych I went to Lincoln
can I cut the top of my hair after its already been taperd zero all the way around I don't like the length I picked
Mane how can i get tht beat playing tht shit hot!!
The website is in the description bro
ayee this looks nice
What if you do not have a #0 or 1/16 clip? And what would be a good alternative?
For another clip to use?
I recommend getting one if you can. You can but it separately online
+CEONTHEMAKING , thank you for the reply. Considering buying andis clippers pack next week that includes 0/16
@ceonthemaking I only have a 1, 2, 3 and 4 guards. No 1/16, 1 and 1/16 etc guards. Will I still be able to achieve a completed fade with those guards using the same Andis Master clipper that you are using?
you need a 1/16th or #0 guard
@@CEONTHEMAKING I have a 0 guard. Where do I adjust the lever then?
Will this work on white boy hair lol
VolzTiD yes but you need to be very precise
I need to know what notch cuts that absolute least amount of hair possible
Hey, that was a great job with the cut. Let me ask you...Where did you find your music to add to your video? I have a few video I will be working on and wanted some good instrumentals to use. Thanks for your help!
DJ
I get them off soundckick.com.....beats and instrumentals section
are you a lefty or a righty how are you cutting your left side so good
Yea I'm left handed
does this work on mini afros?
Thanks. Maybe next time I won't end up with a bald fade undercut LOL
It's Kool to have the ability to do your own hair, real talk. But, I think you should drop the fade lower, knowing that you have a tall neckline. Reason being, the higher the fade, the taller your neck looks. No disrespect!!!

I'm sure it's possible for someone really advanced, but just like everything else, you usually get what you pay for. Having the right clippers will definitely make fading easier and give you the best results.
And it's not necessarily the price that matters. You just make sure you invest in a pair of powerful professional grade clippers.
💯🔥
Did yu use a #1 for the rest of your hair? And if so did yu go with or against the grain
The rest of the hair was about a number 2 against the grain
+CEONTHEMAKING you mentioned "getting your waves back"...but doesn't cutting against the grain hinder the waves from growing in?
nope
Hello what clipper do you use. I want to start cutting my own hair
andis master
Wooo.that beat slap my nigga
