With that said, in 2022 a law was passed in USA called the CROWN Act, banning discrimination against Black hairstyles. The legislation states that "routinely, people of African descent are deprived of educational and employment opportunities" for wearing their hair in natural or protective hairstyles such as locs, cornrows, twists, braids, Bantu knots, or Afros. CROWN stands for Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair. The CROWN Act prohibits "discrimination based on an individual's texture or style of hair." The Bill is called H.R. 2116 aka CROWN Act.

Wonderful commentary new subscriber! As a white American born in the south where slavery was common it is ruff. My father lived thru the civil rights movement and being a white man in that time seeing people as people put him in a bad place. The reality is in life all people have made and done some really bad things gladly most of that we can call history. When you look at a group of people that have crappy beliefs that does not speak for all it does say we as a people need to break the cycle. Looking at history we as people have came a long way and we have to stop being so hard on each other and come together. It is okay we have different views that is what makes us human but if we sit back and blame others for our failures then what does that say about yourself. I am not going to apologize for what I had no part in i.e. slavery sadly it is still happening today thru out the world its just call child labor instead of the fact its slavery. The gentlemen made some good points and failed to offer the full story but I respect his opinion and people like him they make me dig further into history. Really do a dig on who was the biggest slave owner in the US it will surprise you. Study how all that started it shocked me. As for racism itself no matter what it will always be around. The problem with the term racism is that it is being used as a weapon of ideas instead of true racism. Does racism exist true racism yes but it is not in the states like most would put out there. He had mentioned white nationalist here in the states well our media here is calling any white person that believes that if you live your life thru God, you believe in less government then your a white nationalist. So terms are really tearing our society apart we as a people need to look at our so called leaders in government and make them listen by voting them out or in. I personally do not label anyone your a man or a woman that's it I could careless about your political status, color, or social status you are just a person trying to make the best out of life. Now we have some that think that what is theirs is mine instead of admiring someone that came from nothing and worked those 70-80 hour work weeks for years and set goals in life. Last thought about white purity God help those who think that the funny thing to me is there is no such thing. As much as we humans have loved and been with to create life no person is 100% blank race. Me I am Irish, English, American Indian and that is just what I found in my research about my family.
