- TAMIYA TT-02 PORSCHE GT3 FULL BUILD
My first RC car was a Porsche 934 back in 1978. This is my tribute to that car that started my love affair with RC cars and Porsches.

The battery solution is brilliant
at 51:58 we see the front magnet body posts, but what type of post did u use since we see they go straight out instead of up like the stock ones ??
Thanks, glad you like the LIPO holder. For the front posts I used the cut off remains of the old posts, drilled holes in the ends and screwed them on in the original location. What's left is basically a rod with a screw hole in one end. The magnetic mounts aren't strong enough for racing but I am working on a plan to solve that problem. 🙂
Cool rc car Video ❤😎🔥👏👑🌞😇🤩👍
Thank you, I've got a few more lined up.... 🙂 Can't stop buying them... 🥴
Hello from Thailand.. I 've just saw TT-02 build . after seeing this vdo make me would love to make my own one ... Thank you for inspiration
Hello back, Glad you enjoyed my video. Tamiya has lots of great TT -02 cars. I hope you get to make one soon. 🙂
Great looking car! I have mine still in box but soon I will start building it and for sure will follow some advices! Thanks for sharing! 😀
Thank you, I do plan to build another with all the bells and whistles... 😎
Thanks I see where my mistake was on the steering linkages. Great color you chose for the body. I will do same on Porsche 911.
The steering linkages are a bit confusing I remember that well. I think all Porsches look great in orange. 😊
Nice, very cool
Thank you, glad you like it. 🙂
Ha! I watched the whole thing patiently waiting for the cool livery decal application process. I've been robbed!
Oh no! I'm so sorry, TBH I was more focussed on getting the livery right than filming it. Getting everything correctly aligned was a challenge. I reckon the body took as long as the chassis. If only someone could come up with some renders of a Jagermeister GT3 - now that would be cool... 🤔😁
Love it a great job I just finished mine, white with blue stripe and blue wheels GT3RS style.
Thank you, it's a really enjoyable car to build and race. Did your bodyshell take as long to paint as the car took to build? Mine did... 🤣
@StaplesandVine yeah was a whole weekend the rims, mirrors and swan necks foe the wing were done with TS white then blue and a gloss. The body was PS black were the stickers are then the blue stripe wing ends and under the rear wing then white, backed in black and smoked windows but worth getting some good comments.
This TT02 is going to get a radical makeover but I have bought another Porsche GT3 such a great looking car. That will get the full race treatment ... 😁
@StaplesandVine for sure thinking of buying another body for carpark or track driving and keep this one for the shelf but proballly won't as I don't have any shelf queens.
That's partly my justification for buying another GT3. The original body is for Sundays with the lads, the new one is fror display. The bodies aren't cheap, it made sense at the time... 🤔
HI I was wondering on where you have bought the TT-02 and Porsche GT3 992 stickers for the bottom of the chassis? They look super clean on the car!
The graphics for the underside I designed in Corel Draw and then cut out from a sheet of vinyl with a Silhouette Portrait 4 cutter. Glad you like them. 🙂
