      @@E-MASON Nah bruh. I'm from the Gary area. I saw this early. Each of these cats had talent. They toured as a self contained act [Gladys Knight and Bobby Taylor saw them live and insisted that Gordy needed to see them] unlike today's groups who have a lot of adults on stage with them playing and singing background. Everybody knows how great Mike was, but The Jackson 5 were no slouches.

Lawd, for years the music industry has searched for another like him. Please Justin Beiber and even a young Usher couldn't hold a candle to him on their best day. Man I sure do miss him.

      Alexandra Dillard I remember the highest I paid was $10 and I was in the front. Every time The Jacksons came to my hometown Philly and nearby New Jersey I was there. I skipped the Victory tour because it was a mess with Don King as the promoter. I can remember Michael being upset about how expensive the tickets were and you had to buy four tickets together and that was the only way you could buy them . The fans were upset and didn’t want to purchase the tickets. Michael had to intervene and change how they were selling the tickets Mike never wanted to do that tour. He didn’t like Don King as a promoter he that he was a crooked and he was. It was supposed to be the reunion tour except Jackie’s wife hit he with her car for cheating with Paula Abdul so he couldn’t perform. Anyway, it was their worst tour because the brothers didn’t get along. It was MJ’s last tour with them. Michael donated all his money from the tour to charity.

      Yea, I know! I guess I always assumed it was a studio musician for many recordings! But after seeing more live performances, a beast he IS!! Interesting fact about the group: I discovered in the documentary, SITSOM, the sound Motown defined for them is called "Bubblegum Soul!" lol Isn't that PERFECT!!! Doesn't it depict this vibe to a TEE???!

      Meh! I'm a huge Prince fan and miss him too. He was similarly amazing, but not equal. Both, powerful artists, but not alike. Prince was more musician, Michael, more performer. In his biggest moment, Billie Jean, for the first 2 mins, he didn't sing or touch an instrument, but killed it! - while Princess never had a dance-solo, not really. Michael, on the other hand, would scarcely no what to do just playing an instrument for 2 mins... while Prince would rip it! The two are really great, but I think Mike, since age 5, takes the performing award.
      -And I know the Prince die-hard fans might give me a lashing for saying so, but I think most folks will agree. I think.

    CONCERT. I still get CHILLS just THINKING about that SHOW --- WOW!!! and to EXPERIENCE it on a TRULY DEEPLY PERSONAL LEVEL. The ( GROOVY ) ANXIETY of knowing I would be going to this CONCERT, and the BUZZ that was inside the BUILDING,
    EVERYBODY was JOYFULLY ZOOMING on the ONE. One of the GREATEST CONCERTS I have
    EVER ( EVER ) ATTENDED: We were ( TRUE ) F A N S of the MIGHTY, MIGHTY JACKSON 5,
    STANDING UP and DANCING quickly RUSHING the STAGE / EVERY CHANCE WE GOT.
    To be just a LITTLE CLOSER to see , FACE TO FACE the FAMILY of FANTASTIC BROTHERS;
    SINGING, DANCING, and CREATING that FUNKY, FUNKY BEAT. OH YEAH ( YEAH, YEAH ) as the LIMOUSINES were leaving the HOUSTON COLISEUM --- We ran as FAST as we could to get a GLIMPSE of GREATNESS --- THE JACKSON 5 were as SHOCKED to see us SO CLOSE as we were to SEE THEM. OH, MEMORIES so CLOSE to my HEART, as if it was just ONE
