If they have a variety of styles and fashions and leave it up to each athlete to decide for themselves which one to wear, I can have no dispute.

Another example of a non controversy as the athletes are given a entire wardrobe to choose from but the news media acts like must parade around in g strings

'private parts'. I do not think that wearing a light polyester suit, even that one, with light polyester shorts, is that restrictive. You're 'talking' with someone that is very conservative about her dress. I don't expose myself!

Doing so makes you an exhibitionist. Not someone who is proud of their body. The suit might not be above your hip bones but it's pretty close. So, what, I need to shave everyday now? Do you know how much that hurts when the hairs grow back in? What is the matter with a panty cut? I am modest, not whorish. Okay, I make an exception for the beach and Hollywood. And, that's it. I see so much nudity between film and music, it makes me sick. It's like looking at Playboy every minute of every day. It's enough to make me sick. Or, you sick. And, I'm thinking -- what is your point??? Are you less of a person if you are not nude? As I have said before, it was, ah, nice talking to your, ah, boobs.
If you can't garner enough eyes on the sport based upon talent, then get them with p**n.

Well, I was looking at some of the outfits with some of the athletes in the 80s, I really don't see the difference.

It's up to the athlete to choose what they want to wear. My Sandra said you get a big old suitcase for all different uniforms. I don’t see what the problem is.
These uniforms styles have been used since the 90s into as late as 2012
Its the cesspool of pathology and low self esteem in the US that makes everyone want to virtue signal to act as if they are better than the people they criticize!!

I've seen some of these women's events and wondered what happened to the rest of their uniforms. Seriously, would you want your mother, sister, wife, or daughter competing in one of these outfits?

So the top part of it looks a bit retro to me, but the cut on the bottom looks so weird and not flattering. I thought the previous Britain's one piece cut was a bit weird, but now looking back at it, it's not as bad as I thought compared to this U.S. attire

Well, let's make sure we focus on fashion and not on performance. Priorities, priorities. No matter what you are wearing, you will look a lot better with a medal around your neck. It's the accessories, not the outfit...

Well, the female beach volleyball could attract a lot of interest in those outfits, TV Stations would love the ratings.
The athletes have several options. They can even wear shorts under the leotard. Which is what Sha'carri did for the 2023 World Championship. It's really not that serious.
I'm very sure that some of the athletes will feel ok wearing skimpier outfits than others; however, as long as they have the options available for those who choose not to wear the skimpier outfits....then its all good

Commenters, did you not listen to the 2nd half of the video. Athletes have the choice to choose the cut they want.
They didn't show all the choices did they, so how can you say what else is available for them to chose from? Also the uniforms that they did show are pretty ugly.
What's next? "I need to be naked when I run. Can you just paint me red white and blue?"
I like the final explanation, because it makes plenty sense. If we are given tons of options, we may choose wisely.
Not if u been brained washed since a child that in america it's better to be sexy first, smart & talented last. So i imagine not all choices will be wise.

Do theae women believe they have an audience because they are great at their sport😳😂 yeah ladies keep telling yourself that.That uniform will increase the viewers for whatever event they are in,granted those viewers will be wearing less clothes than your normal audience and applying a lot more moisturiser with extra handkerchiefs to clean up any mess that occurs but at least they will be watching.

I don't see anything wrong with them. The uniforms are already pretty skimpy and skin tight for both the men and women. Heck the men's one piece track and field leotards are so tight it leaves little to the imagination. LOL
