This video shows you how to install new door lock actuators from TRQ on your 1998-2011 Ford Ranger. Power door lock systems typically use some sort of actuated motor to drive the lock mechanism. If the actuator breaks, then the door lock will no longer operate electronically.
This repair was done on a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3L Extended Cab Pickup 4-Door RWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
