@@Fentertainment There is a special tool that makes the window handle easy to remove. The Snap-on number is A159 but lots of others available. Great video!
with those clips you can usually just push them down and slide the window crank off. The clip will pop back into place and never comes off.

All very good advice. You can get the clip off with a thin fabric rag or towel by pulling the sheet under the handle away from the grip if you don't have the crows foot trim tool.

It's find a ground and a positive power cable . Not rocket science
If you’re confused about the bulk of wires shown it’s color coded so you just match and you’re ready to go. The “hardest” part is finding power source and grounding it.
Maybe you should just let someone smarter do it for you
For the window crank clip removal try using a rag. You just spread the rag flat and run the edge in between the door card and the crank and try your best to catch the side of the clip with the rag. Try it both directions since the clip can be on backwards sometimes. It works surprisingly well in my experience and has a very low chance of scraping your door card if you haven't removed one of these before.

Glad it helped! Ive also heard of people using a old thin shirt or towel to wrap around the handle to pull the clip out.

Thank you sir!! just one note tho, you forgot to show the reason for the extra wires on the driver door...(central locking feature that unlocks/locks the pass. door if you manually unlock/lock the driver door😉) Great video tho my friend...love your content!

Explained the best way possible! I got the same kit and installed it today, it took me a while to figure out the 2009 Chevy Cobalt auxiliary box. I read the car manual because my wires was so short and I couldn’t do the back doors, i also wasn’t sure if i was going to get it to the battery. I ended up getting a 12V from the floor fuse box since it’s under the glove box. Im not sure if that’s safe but i seen people do it and i just wanna know if it’s safe, I connected the red cable to the fuse and plugged the fuse. It works just great, i didn’t use any other fuses or “borrow” or depending on a power that’s for another thing, when i read the manual for the fuse box, ot said there is a fuse for unlocking the doors even tho my car doesn’t unlock automatically, but i used that fuse to get the 12V. i couldn’t find the alarm installation guide but I haven’t connected my trunk and second headlights, will you be able to tell me how to connect the trunk and also if the fuse method i used for the 12V os safe? And if i can buy wires to extend it to the back since the wires are short, and if im supposed to buy wires that’s the same color or any wire works? Thank you

hey bro, thanks for all your help my 04 c.s. has cat eyes like yours i would think the wiring would be the same ... i got a couple of ?? if you don't mind. on your relay is the two black wires ground and what color wire did you tap for lights under dash? IF YOU HAVE TIME THANKS!!!
The window crank is removed with a simple wash rag. Slide it under the plastic end of the window crank and pull up and to you. Just for those folks without the proper tool. It takes seconds and is easier than using the tool!
What did you use to mount the brackets on the door? Did you drill new holes in the door? How are your screws holding the braket to the door?
nice, how does the new door lock look like? I am hoping to replace mine, that has been broken in twice, some thieves used probably a screw driver and just ripped the locker.

I have the same truck and mounted exactly the same and wired up correctly and unlock is lock and lock is unlock. Didn’t have enough room anywhere on the door to flip the actuator over.
swap the wires and you will be fine.
Ryan there is a brown and white wire from the module separate from the other set for the actuators. Is that for a rocker switch to manually lock & unlock the doors?

i bought the one you got on amazon and i bought a viper alarm system . & i also purchased a additional set of actuators for the viper alarm since it didnt come witih it. so I wired the one from amazon everything works flawless no problems. Ive done it the same way with the viper alarm but everything works besides the doors unlocking and locking with the actuators. the viper alarm came w a relay. The amazon one didnt require one. do you think i need to use the relay or is there something i am missing ? thanks in advance !!

If you ground either of the two wires that say main control module does it lock and unlock also? So you could add a switch in the vehicle?

Possibly with a good kit from dei (directed electronics inc) they make viper, avital , Clifford etc. Just dont want to wire up relays if you dont have to. I'm still using the one remote daily with mine and everything is good to go. Hoping to do power windows on it soon.

So the 12v red and the black ground are connected to your parking light or just the 12v power

Definitely want to put this in my 68 Camaro. Can it be wired so when you unlock it your interior lights come on, and then go out after a few seconds after you've gotten in the vehicle like a normal modern car.
Sure, However this kit does not offer dome light supervision. This has exact question has been on my mind for a week now. Some more $$$ expensive keyless entry systems has this feature built in. I plan on doing this upgrade to my vehicle soon because I not only want just dome light supervision but I want to add some puddle lights to the bottom of my truck mirrors as well. Which is the same concept but on the exterior of the vehicle like newer vehicles! I didnt think anyone would want to know that but now, I plan on it! I believe It can be done for less than $10.
What wires did you hook up to the parking lights? Is it the brown and white wires from the junction box? Its the only other loose wires mine came with

Great job! Really good description on the installation. Can you tell us where you got your 12V from?
You can look up the color of your power wires for your radio online by the year of your vehicle and follow that wire to the fuse box. Then tap off of it. They do sell devices to do so to avoid crappy connection or just splice and solder with battery disconnected.
I did something similar but used a viper alarm system so that I would have keless entry.
My question is,can I install a button connected to the relayinside the car so that I unlock the doors while the car is running?
The viper alarm will not unlock the doors while the engine is running. It automaticaly locks the doors when I start the car ( by choice in the settings)
I was thinking if I added another branch of power to the relays it would send current back into the alarm system and maybe destroying the alarm.

The white and brown wires coming out of the controller are for external switches.
hey i got a problem. i installed the actuators and everything but whenever i try to lock my truck it’ll just unlock right after so it won’t stay locked. do you know what might be causing this?

My 04 tj works like I expected. One thing I noticed is if I use the manual lock button on the inside drivers door unlocks both doors unlock but only locks the drivers door. Is that normal

Can you please tell me that if in my car ,there is company fitted manual centre locking system that means by only switching driver side lock all 4 doors are locked, then does it mean that in all of the doors there is an actuator motor , and if i want to install the centre locking system then what shoul i have to do .
hey man, great video! i have a quick question, i got a 2003 f150 and i'm wondering where to hook up the wires for the lights so that they blink when you lock and unlock. haven't installed the kit yet as I just got it today but I can't find anywhere where to hook up the two wires for the indicators, any help would be greatly appreciated!
