- The 7th and last movie clip of warcraft. Eternity's End shows what happens after the end of the Night Elf campaign, Twilight of the Gods.
After 10,000 years, The Defiller, Archimonde finally gets to come to Azeroth, and plans to absorb the mystical energies of The Crown of the Heavens. But with the help of the Humans, and the Orcs, the Night Elves were able to delay Archimonde's ascend to the world tree. During this time, the Arch-druid Malfurion Stormrage was able to contact the wisps, the ancestors of the forest to Mt.Hyjal, and waited for Archimonde to arrive.
When Archimonde was about to absorb the energies of Nordrassil, Furion gave the signal. He blew the mighty horn of Cenarius. Then, millions of the Ancestral Spirits swarmed Archimonde. In and instant, Archimonde was completely destroyed. Not even a demigod like Archimonde could stand up to the defenders of nature.
Medivh:"The roots will heal in time, as will the entire world. The sacrfices has been made. Just as the Orcs, Humans and Night Elves discarded their old hatreds and stood united against a common foe, so did nature itself, rise up to banish the shadow forever... As for me, I've came back to ensure that there would be a future, to teach the world that it no longer needed guardians. The hope for future generations has always resided in mortal hands. And now that my task is done, I can take my place, amongst the legends, of the past..."

Medivh's voice is so soothing.
I really like Medivh's last words in this. "And now that my task is done, I shall take my place... among the legends... of the past". It's very poetic.

This is such an epic transition from Warcraft to World of Warcraft, introducing us as the players.
It's like eternity itself just died in front of you, but told you it's ok. That it was necessary to ensure a brighter tomorrow. That's what I take away from this game as a whole, that no matter what, the future is all we truly have to build towards, and it doesn't matter how little, so long as you build toward it.
This is hands down the most powerful ending I've ever seen.
To think it is from a game is incredible, as it shows how the Blizzard crew are gods in making fantasy cinematic and storytelling experiences
The story of warcraft imo is in the same level with Lord of the Rings .
Blizzard crew WERE gods...were.
You're kidding right? A six year old child could have come up with better than that. The whole story is as cheesy and clicheeful as it could possibly get. And it went even downhill after Reign of Chaos.
Luckily we have so many more better stories than this one, which would make your opinion correct.

Don't get me wrong, there is no other game I spent more time with. But the campaign story was not even mediocre.

Warcraft lore and storytelling used to be really good. Poetic and creative.
Now it’s just kind of childlike. Arcade style.

Think we all know answer to that..
The legion and scourge destroyed my base in the last minute. But in prior to that, I built a moon well at a distant mercenary camp to avoid mission failure. During the last few seconds, Archimond was marching to the power circle but luckily he was blocked and delayed by a couple of undead abominations( which just destroyed the trees I built next to the circle). He never made the touch down so I could finally sit back and watch this epic cinematic after having the most intense Warcraft gaming experience ever.
Easily Malfurion's finest moment.
Sadly, he seems to be fairly weak these days, he was unable to stop Sylvanas or the Horde army.... :(

Even though they knew that they are going to lose everything what made them strong, they didn't hesitate. They did it to buy Azeroth a future. How many races in Warcraft would make such sacrifice?
And yet, he did stop Sylvanas. He was going to kill her but Saurfang intervened with his sneak attack.

Agree with ya. I've been a Warcraft player for ages and always loved the warcraft lroe but lately they've done quite strange things without any touch to it or feels, Ysera and Tirion for example...
They obviously have to do changes to the game to keep the story pushed forward but making everyone "The Champion" and giving them weapons with orange text and saying "It's all about stats" and not caring about the actual immersion isn't the way to go

i don't know quite what it is about it but my favorite sound is the deep humming of a horn like that it gives me the chills, its like it signify's much more then just a sound its just the grandeur of it. its like the sound of change, uprising and hope. its the sound of a new beginning i guess. it just sounds absolutely amazing i could just close my eyes and let it fill my head.

Man, this cinematic is so epic. Both Furion, Tyrande, Thrall and Jaina are epic heroes, and i love this where they put aside their differences to stand united against the legion. And Medivh, well, he was a true hero in warcraft 3. If it hadn't been for him, the world would be doomed today. Medivh was also the only human Deathwing ever feared. Also the msuci when Archimonde dies. Epic. This would make a great movie in the cinema, with the battle for mt. Hyjal as the final climax of the movie. ftw

I went through the game pretty easily up until the last level. That level was a NIGHTMARE. I went from loving this game to dispising it. I felt stressed just thinking about it because focusing on several things at once stresses the hell out of me. But when I finally did beat it and I saw this awesome cinematic ending, I felt so proud. I don't think I've ever felt that accomplished from beating another video game.

there is another night elf wave/defend campaign much tougher than the last one

If I was running a TV channel, I'd play this on 2021 New Year's Eve, with the bang happening exactly at midnight.
Archimonde is a being of immense amounts of magic. Wisps are naturally opposed to magic and can detonate the magic around them. tl;dr that's a fucking lot of wisps.
The Lore will heal in Time, as will the entire World. The sacrifices of InsaneMonster have been made.
Just like the developers, programmers and the unhappy fans with Blizzard discarded their own WoW.exe's and stood united against Activision, a common foe, so did the Canon itself rise up to banish the Retcon.... for Ever.
As for me, I came back to ensure that there would be ONE decent expansion, to teach the fans that they no longer needed subscriptions.
The Hope for future players has always resided in casual hands.
And now that my Task is done.... I will take my place.... amongst the legends of GMs...

When i hear this i just get... an amazing feeling... its legendary..

It's not completely clear what happened to him at the end of HFC, since we fought him in the Nether, but he took his last breath on Draenor...

warcraft the movie helps me a lot in telling about the lores that happened before warcraft 3, as my warcraft journey kicked off from there bcs i didn't play the previous games.

boy archimonde sure does work with a lot of phalusses
For anyone struggling with this mission, simply go with mass hippogryph riders. Have a druid of the claw or 2 at all times for Roar before each wave, and keep them in the back. Then, get 2-3 wisps to continuosly build moonwells near where you are fighting and put them on auto refresh. You can and should use Malfurion's Tranquility ability on every wave. Also, make sure to entangle and use the 2 extra gold mines. Keep making hippos and archers, and max out all upgrades. With this strategy, I held him at human base. But even if you need to fall back, it's fine.

I love Medivh. He's probably my favorite (wizard) character in the warcraft universe. I hope he returns in a future expansion with karazhan. Though I doubt that entirely...

i never actully plaued this game but i love the trailers
actually as it turns out, the .MPQ files used for the cinematics are in reality just .AVI files with the .MPQ extension, and compressed with blizzard's BLZ0 codec (which is just DivX).
You should be able to play them in any media player, provided you have the necessary codecs installed. Furthermore, you should be able to rename the .MPQ extension to the proper .AVI extension, and you would have no problems.

Because the world tree was destroyed, or so they thought, Nozdormu ensured that so long as the World Tree existed, night elves would be immortal and keep their power over nature. If you play World of Warcraft and have gone into Hyjal (the zone, not the instance), the world tree is still there, healthy, green, and massive, along with Archimonde's skeleton =). So, technically, night elves are still immortal and still have power over nature, hence NE druids in WoW
Archimonde was divine and there was no such force to take him down even if there was it wouldnt be enough since Cenarius has fallen. maybe you cant figure out but it was last resort to defend kalimdor,it was last hope of Malfurion using forests' spirits
Yep. That's why Archimonde wanted Cenarius dead, as he was the only divine being on Kalimdor at the time that could possibly challenge him in open combat and rally the Night Elves. But, he didn't know that Medivh would drive the mortal races to work together. It is worth noting that he also didn't expect for his second-in-command Tichondrius to be killed just days before the final attack on Hyjal Summit(killed by Illidan, after Illidan was manipulated into taking the Skull of Gul'dan by the Lich King). Kind of poetic that all the playable races contributed to Archimonde's fall.
Actually Medivh isn't anywhere to be found in Karazhan. You can fight a Vision of Medivh, but that's more a pre-recorded thing (the Chess Event). Medivh is either dead / gone or simply doing something else. The current "Ruler" of Karazhan is a Demon named Prince Malchezaar
No, I think it is more like they (the energies i.e. the wisps you see & Archimond) were the oppsites of the same thing. When they were combined you get that explosion i.e. energy burst.

In Karazhan it is the Shade of Aran, Medivh's father, not Medivh. Which is why he states in the fight something similar to "I may not be as strong as my son but..."

lol be warned though in order to get enough you need to build them at you last base (obviously), and uproot them as soon as thier built (make more space), the last thing i loved about this strategy is if you get them to eat trees (special abilty) they regain health XD, i'm sure you knew all of that but i wanted to make sure you got to see the best of the ents XD
