@TheDemonicPenguin It's the Stark's crypt, and with the whole "winter is coming" thing I'm sure that they know how to deal with corpses properly so they don't get raised back up again. Even the nights watch members know to burn the bodies. Honestly, if what you said does end up happening then it's just lazy writing imo.

There’s a theory that The Night King, because he’s so old, knows secrets about Winterfell that no one else does, thus knowing a way into the crypt. Also Ned’s bones were thrown into the fire that Tywin melted Ice in, furthermore creating Widow’s Wail and Oathkeeper

One of my favorite scene of the series. She deserved it.
And that smile. Saying that she didn't want to be a knight was her only defense against what was for her a terrible reality. Having that given to her by the one man she truly respects was a dream come true. What a scene.
That was my favorite scene of the whole show so far except maybe Jon/Aegon being declared King in the North.

The Brienne scene was so beautifully done and the bar's reaction was perfect. From laughing and cheering when Jaime called her over, then to silence and tears. This was one of most emotional episodes of Game of Thrones and I could watch the bar's reaction 100 more times. Thank you.

I agree. And I think a lot of people simply think that there's sexual tension. I don't see it that way. I believe that Jaime sees in Brienne exactly the type of warrior that he always wished he could be. Jaime didn't want the Westerlands or anything else that the privilege of his name brought him. He has always wanted to be a noble and just warrior that history would tell stories about for centuries, but he let his one weakness hold him back from achieving that.
Likewise, although I do think Brienne harbors some romantic feelings towards Jaime, she sees in him the ultimate validation. Other females like Arya, Sansa, etc. recognize her skill and are inspired by her, but they look *up* to her. Meanwhile, countless men across Westeros have looked *down* on her. But Jaime sees her on equal ground, and judges her purely on her merits in battle. He respects her singular commitment to being the best warrior achievable, and ultimately that is how Brienne wants to be judged by people.
He has cast aside his family's legacy in the name of the warrior, and she has forsaken any other roles of her own in the name of the warrior. They are kindred souls and are happy to know one another on such raw, primal, honest conditions.

I love all of you! When i started watching this in season 2 i had very few people to talk to about it, not 7 years later i have an abundance of people to chat with. It feels great!
Podrick's singing is absolutely my favorite part of this episode,
I legit had a tear thinking about it
the fact that everyone (all the survivors/MVP's) is united and fighting for the same cause.
Him singing making us realized the end is really on its way one way or another.
Showing what these characters want to do in their final hours whether its prepare, drink, sleep, have one night with a significant other, or just have a meal with a close friend. What a beautiful sadness.
I almost got the same anxiety when Pod started to sing. It's like watching S6E10 all over again. Something's building up. Something big is coming. But this time we know what's gonna happen. We know everything's coming to an end.
And also I remember the scene from Titanic when the ship was already sinking and there was this mom tucking her children to bed because she knows they're not gonna survive. And jeez the old couple just snuggling up in bed waiting for their death. issa sad sad moment.

@@nealm6764 Don't know if you watched the behind the episode bit from HBO, but daniel portman, podrick, kept the scene going by staying pitch perfect for the whole sequence near the fire pit, which gave the scene a sense of, in my opinion, intensity and realness.
The third episode is gonna be the most miserable, crucial, Savage, and devastating episode in the history of the show.
But we ended up getting almost all of the interactions we wanted, and they were acted out so well. I still want to see many of them go through more together, but I think this episode did a really great job at securing closure for many of us.

Won’t be as bad as red wedding. People are expecting characters to die
John Roush and to think there’s still 3 more episodes after episode 3. We’ll certainly get some deaths, but there’s still Cersei to worry about. After the next episode I wonder how exactly the remaining survivors will fight against her, or perhaps they lose the fight and retreat, with Brienne shouting “stand your ground” as a way to hold the dead off as everyone still alive escapes south.
I've heard that episode 3 was directed by the same person who directed Hardhome and The Battle of the Bastards
Jenny’s song, was an amazing moment in cinema history. Never have I felt so connected to a song/scene that made me appreciate what I’ve been watching over the years and the ultimate demise of what’s to come.

harly It’s not that. I’m a dude and I’ll admit that some of these scenes genuinely make you feel good inside, which is a testament to all the actors. However, she was just acting like that even when the scene wasn’t emotional. I feel bad for whoever has to watch movies/tv next to her. It’s like she has to let them know she’s about to get emotional every damn scene
I like watching these videos but the best "reaction" videos are the ones were the folks don't know they are being recorded. Everyone in this bar knows they are being recorded and where the cameras are. The people "reacting" then start to become characters and its not genuine anymore.

To be noted:
Only the white walkers can be seen in the picture. The Night King and his dragon are not to be seen. Either the Night King is going to attack at a different place or he will enter at a later stage. Night King has had his powers for thousands of years and Bran for just a few years. So the Night King knows when and where to attack him.
I hope he's in King's Landing deals with Cersei first and attack the retreating fighters from the North. Lol

Goddamn, Brienne becoming a knight is easily the most powerful scene in this entire series. She has worked so hard and so tirelessly at protecting the realm only to be told time and again that she's not good enough because she's a woman. Despite Jaime's past, she respects him immensely and can see the arc of his spiritual journey. To be knighted by such a person is immeasurably important to her.
This is also one of the very few times for Jaime Lannister that being a knight is giving him authentic pride. After being lowkey bitter about it for many years.
The scene with Pod singing is pure genius. The way they edited and filmed that... One of the best scenes of any show ever.

I think you might be expecting too much of Benioff & Weiss. Think of Season 7's Battle On The Ice where none of the main "heroes" died (if you don't count the dragon), despite overwhelming odds.
Since Season 5, we've left behind the old GoThrones gut-punches, and it's been mostly LOTR-type happy endings.
I don't expect Benioff & Weiss to change now. I think the most you can expect is the death of Daenerys. Other than her, I think most big characters will survive this battle.
I would love to be proved wrong, for the drama, but I don't think I will be.
All of us GOT fans are overlooking something. We're only thinking about who will die. But what about the likely fact we will see some of our people die and come back fighting as wights?

Do you think the song is foreshadowing the fact that the safest place to be is filled with the dead?
the damp old stones are referring to the floor being covered in blood and the dancing is a metaphor for fighting and the ghosts of people she loved and hadnt seen for a long time are going to be the white they will have to fight who in life were good people but now are trying to kill them and not wanting to leave means they dont want to leave the land of the living and become dead. And spud away all her sorrow and pain is a metaphor for killing the living so they no longer have pain and sorrow
So Jenny was a a girl who slept with all the boys. Got it.
I dont think we will ever witness a collective spectacle quite like the way game of thrones has captured our hearts and minds. Savour this moment.
Whole Episode was like one big Goosebump. When Podrick startet to sing it was like it is time to say Goodbye to some Characters. The whole Series was flashing through my Head. And yes i cried like a baby :D

Putting all the non-combatants in a crypt full of a couple of thousand years-worth of dead seems... not clever... given that the Night King reanimates the dead. I bet that's the reason Arya was looting so scared in the initial trailer.
Yeah it's actually super weird no one thought of that possibility...not even Bran the three eyed bird. The way all that was handled was kind of clunky.
They mentioned "it's the safest place" about twelve times.

I think the crypts are going to be significant for some other reason. Many of the corpses in the crypt would have disintegrated by now, and the ones that haven't would have to bust through however many feet of ground and the stone coffins they're buried in. The wight brought to Cersei was held back by a wooden crate and some chains.
