there are only two types of teachers, one who are really passionate about teaching and the other one who couldn't find any decent jobs in their feild.
I think it's about having power and control.
I think a lot of it comes from people thinking they will love a job until they actually have to do it.
They start out fine. Then they finally realize it is actual work.
They grow hatred for their job, the kids, the admin etc...but of all the things they grow to hate, the one they can take it out on is the kids

My grandmother passed away from cancer when I was 12. There are few things more painful than seeing how a person you very dearly love fades away in front of you. To use cancer as a means to take advantage of your loved ones is the most disgusting thing I have seen. She should be glad I haven't met her in person.
I never met my great great grandmother. She passed away from breast cancer that spread to her lungs (or so i was told) 1 week before I was born so I was the only great great grandchild that never met her. Imagine my surprise when i received 2k like the rest of my cousins and brothers as inheritance at 18.
Anyways a women tried using her logic of "having breast cancer" to steal from my shopping cart one day and made a big scene when i called her out and told he yes, she has cancer, but that doesn't give her a reason to be a total b..ch to us. I even stated that it runs in my family and i get check each year for it. She should be grateful she is still living and fighting and will most likely live through it. It was funny watching her freak out like my nephew who throws massive tantrums in the middle of a walmart. Her husband had to drag her out and told her to grow up because he was sick of her doing this shit. This was literally just before covid lock downs so she was an idiot coming out with the news of this virus going around.
I'm so sorry for your losses.
My grandmother also passed away from ovarian cancer when I was 14. She hid the pain her family and never went to the doctor until it was too late. We were informed of her cancer merely months before she passed away. It was so devastating.
She was the liveliest person of all people I've met up to this day. She had a hair salon and would bring in some homeless ladies and gave them free hair wash and sometimes haircut.
Up to this day there were still some people come to her house not knowing she had passed away years ago, bringing gifts to thanked her for those free haircuts and hair washes.
If you saw her in person, she would *have a bad time*

The second story was rough, itâs clear that Mindy may have been a decent person at one point but greed took over and decided to use her false kind nature to get what she wanted. She used her friends and everyone around her was a target.
No, Mindy was never a decent person. She only played one on TV when she thought she could get something out of you. Iâm sure thatâs why her family disowned her.
This seems to happen to people who were otherwise decent until terrible things that happened to them in their past get to them and otherwise lead to that kind of horrible behavior.
Not that it excuses their actions, just makes them very somewhat understandable. Just very, very somewhat.
She was always garbage. The OP stated in a comment that she later found out the real reason Mindy was kicked out by her parents was because she was stealing money from them. She was entrusted with taking the mortgage payment to the bank. Instead, she took the money for her own uses and kept telling the family that the default notices were a mistake.

Even I cannot understand why anyone would sink to those sorts of lows, much less either slandering to the point of someone being harshly ostracised publicly for something so minor they got their panties in a quad-knotted twist over happening or just cruelly harming someone to the point of them nearly dying over being splashed at a public pool pre-quarantine. I told the school and they didnt do anything about it. Later on i had figured out that she had became a substitute teacher bc of all the complaints she had gotten. Not much for revenge but my complaints did help.

I went to school in South Africa for the first two grades in the late 90s and I remember the principal or teachers saying that this is an English speaking school and if you speak any other language you would be punished. If I remember right the school did cane students as a punishment. They may also have used the then side of the ruler to hit your fingers but that could have just been a rumour
80's and early 90's were insane at school. I got jacks (corporal punishment) as a GIRL! Yes, we had a uniform - I was wearing a dress to bend over the chair for my whipping.

@@AestheticWaif It really makes me angry for people to be advocating for a non-prejudiced South Africa, yet still say they want all the Nigerians, Zimbabweans etc. to leave. I can even understand not caring that white people are leaving (just make sure you tax their stolen wealth on the way out), but to say that about our fellow Africans??? Literally makes not a shred of sense. Immigrants are not the reason we're struggling, we have Apartheid and the continued theft of our wealth and resources to thank for that.
