    I love players with natural flair who does things on the pitch effortlessly. He would have made Fifa Ballon d'Or if he was south American or European. An African virtually have to perform 200% better than the best European or South American to win it. It's even worse now because we lack players with that natural flair. Money has got into their heads. Look at players like George Weah, Abedi Pele, Roger Milla, Okocha, and couple of Ivorian and Moroccan players in the 80s that I can't even remember their names. There were two Ivorian players in the mid to late 80s that anytime they played against Nigeria, it was always scary they could come up with any trick on the pitch.

      @Angelo Vitiello come darti torto...
      È pur vero che comunque quando si accasó al Torino era già sul viale del tramonto della propria carriera. Ricordiamoci che era fondamentalmente un'ala sinistra, e noi sappiamo che generalmente i giocatori che ricoprono quella posizione sfioriscono prima degli altri visto che in quella zona del campo la velocità riveste un'importanza maggiore che altrove. Ció non toglie che comunque sia un peccato, ma per la tecnica che ci ha mostrato nei suoi anni migliori diciamo che puó bastare così😉

    • @hermesshell722
      @hermesshell722 Před 3 lety

      @Angelo Vitiello concordo su tutto. Ed era quasi normale all'epoca consumarsi in quel modo, considerata la fisicità del calcio francese. Chissà con gli attuali avanzati programmi di recupero come si sarebbero ripresi dai rispettivi infortuni lui, Ronaldo, Del Piero, Kanchelskis... Che magone
      Specie se guardiamo a Zaniolo, tornato più forte di prima da un infortunio grave come il bye bye del crociato. Sperando che sia lo stesso anche per quest'altra rogna all'altro ginocchio

    • @hermesshell722

    Claro precursor de muchísimos grandes jugadores Africanos de los 90. Grandísimo talento sin lugar a dudas, lo pondría en el lote de jugadores que fueron el punto de inflección para que el deporte tome otro peso a nivel nacional, aunque reparo en decir que no conozco a fondo la historia completa de Ghana, pero así como él podría nombrar a otros jugadores que hicieron que el fútbol pase a ser popular.
    Algunos jugadores como Wynton Rufer, Yousif Al-Thunayan que poseían un nivel muy superior al resto dentro de su nación u otros más populares como pueden ser Gheorghe Hagi o Hristo Stoichkov. En fin, un genio!!

    Uno dei più grandi giocatori africani della storia del calcio insieme a Weah. Tecnico, possente fisicamente, con una visione di gioco enorme per essere un esterno d'attacco, velocissimo e imprevedibile per il calcio anni '90. L'unico grande problema di Abedi Pelé è stato il fatto che sia durato soltanto 4-5 anni ad alti livelli; in Italia arrivò a 30 anni già abbastanza spompato al Torino, ma pur camminando e non avendo il passo dei tempi migliori, riuscì ad essere decisivo in diverse situazioni, nonostante la poca continuità che lo contraddistinse in quell'esperienza

      It is because it was difficult for African players to have the necessary attention in Europe then.The opportunity to showcase his talent to the world eluded him until he was in his mid twenties.Inspite of his huge talent, he had spent the best part of his early career years playing for Real Tamale United,Niort Chamois and Mulhouse in league 2, Dragons in Benin and Alsaad in Quatar.He only caught the attention of the world when in the absence of an injured Vercruyse the Marseille coach featured him in the quarterfinals of the European champions league match against AC Millan in 1991.He emerged the best player of the match and the rest is history. He had groped for that platform since 1982.
