- Here at the 2019 Cannes Yatching Festival we do a walk through of the brand new Elba 45 from the Fountaine Pajot stable. This will be the new Let’s Dance and we can’t wait for delivery day. Special thanks to the Multihull Solutions team for inviting us to play a small role in this world launch.
Simply love this boat! Thanks for your kind friendship and all the information you gave us. See you latest in June!
Cat Tiki , she is a beauty guys that’s for sure. So nice to catch you guys in Cannes and looking forward to our next get together, cheers.
WOW, thats a yachty cat!! Can't wait to see you dance on it!! Its got amazing spaces, so well-put-together and arranged that it has a very luxurious feel. I could live on it--if only I could sail lol. Love your videos, such amazing stories, you are a beautiful and fascinating couple. Dance On!!
Devangel , glad you agree we love her already. The volume and storage on this boat is amazing and we are looking forward to making her the new Let’s Dance. Glad you are enjoying our stories, there are plenty more to come. Thanks for taking the time to comment, we will be dancing on, cheers 💃🏻🕺
Congratulations on your new project and thanks for showing us around the Elba 45 during Cannes Show
John Hestnes Thanks John it was nice to meet you in Cannes, will put some of your little upgrades to work, cheers.
Oh that is great! When I saw Let's dance up for sail I thought ..... no more clogs from these guys 😩 but now you are back with the Elba. . Great! 😃😃😃
Peter Gale , yes Pete we’re not going anywhere except all the way back to La Rochelle, France to start all over again. Loving this life so much we just can’t let go. Still have some back catalogue of footage to come on the Lucia, before we start our new Elba adventures in June 2020. Thanks for touching base, cheers.
Great video Michael, Marita. Love your idea for the solar panel. I get my Elba April 2021 and can not wait after seeing this. You should post this in our FB site too.
John Rynbout Thanks John, we love her and sure you will too. Let’s both hope the time passes quickly, will look into getting it this up on the FB site, cheers.
Rock on! What a lovely looking boat. Do enjoy!
Thanks so much Bernard, we are in love with her already, cheers.
Absolutely fantastic! Can’t wait to see your new home on the seas, albeit on YT. Love your really life videos!
Ronn Chase thanks Ronn, nice to hear from you. Stay tuned we still have plenty more to come from our last sailing season on the current Let’s Dance, cheers,
AWESOME thanks guys

Tania Coppola Hello you and welcome aboard. So nice to meet you guys in Cannes, enjoy the rest of your trip. You should buy one and hang out with us and everyone else in the Med, it’s not a bad gig 😘😘
Moving up and moving on. Congratulations !
Thanks William, super excited about picking her up next year, cheers.
Just subscribed and waiting to see you two moving in your new boat. Eager to see more detailed tour of your boat, especially build quality, something FP are infamous for. Good luck and have fun!
Mihail Chehlarov welcome aboard Mihail and thanks for taking the time to comment. Our ex factory pickup date has been pushed back due to the dreaded virus but we are so keen to move aboard and share a detailed walkthrough with everyone once we have kitted her out. Hope you get a chance to view some of our earlier stuff on the Lucia while we await the Elba delivery, hopefully sooner rather than later, cheers.
I look forward to your vlogs at sea on your new boat.. all the best 😀🐨🇦🇺🐨🇦🇺
Maria Mabey ... and we look forward to bringing them to you. Thanks for taking the time to comment, stay tuned ⛵️💃🏻🕺
Excellent walk thru. More modern look for the kitchen. I like it seems more open and more light comes in. It also looks wider in the bedrooms. Easier to fix the bed
Ariel N , Thanks Ariel. Yes the kitchen is a completely new look and the space in there is incredible. The split setup is not to everyone’s taste but we love it and think it will work well for us. The overall volume of this boat is amazing, cheers.
I've been looking at this boat on the FP web site ever since it was introduced, It's finally nice to see a walk through of it.
Play b4work , we will be very happy with her we think. What about the New 59 ? Looks like a beauty, thanks for touching base, cheers.
NICE!!! One of the best designs I've seen for a live aboard on a production Cat. Having the upper deck for lounging and space on the hook is fantastic but still with a sport helm that you can enclose with a bimini rather than flybridge which is an exposed no no for me in inclement weather. Nice bow seating area without the worry of a filling fore cockpit a la Leopard! Yes she is wide, and will not cruise as fast as a Outremer etc, but when you spend 95% or more of time on hook or relaxing day sails, comfort is more important. I bet she will sail just fine downwind with the trades if you do the ARC. (Especially if you get a parasail) Hope FP build quality has improved and you both can look forward to a fantastic boat!
Jim Connolly thanks Jim, we think we will be very happy with her. As you say she won’t outperform a more performance cat but hey, that’s not our thing anyway. With you on the full protection at the helm, especially when you have skin like mine, Bimini is a must. Thanks for taking the time to comment, cheers.
thank goodness - the french finally added cupholders!
Tad P 🤣🤣🤣 yep it’s well over due, cheers.
I think she will be lucky to have you two beauties as owners!!!
Michael Fleming cheers mate, hope all is well with you guys, wish we were out there with you. Hugs all round 💕💕
@@LetsDanceSailing After this November you Guys will be the experts and can lead the way next year.... that's if we can keep up..... Stay safe lots of love from all on Zarafet
yep totally agree extra solar panels is a must like your mentioning ....
Jason Bourne , absolutely Jason.... doing our own solar, cheers.
Great video! Congratulations on the Elba. I love what I've seen so far with the Elba and can't wait to see it in Annapolis. Do you mind sharing how you choose to spec out your Elba, especially since you already have 3 years of experience living aboard? It would be very helpful to know what you are having the factory do, versus what you plan to do after market or on your own.
Chris Mehling Hi Chris, thanks for taking the time to comment, we love her too. If you can see her at Annapolis you should, the volume in this boat is amazing. With the Lucia we pretty much took all of our options as factory fitted and have been very happy with that choice, this time around we are changing just a couple of things. The big one is the solar that comes with these boats simply isn’t enough for the live aboard lifestyle so we will be doing solar / inverter / battery combination after market. We are doing all of our safety equipment, anchor, and tender after market as well. These are the options we have taken from the factory. Washing machine, water maker, AC, cockpit enclosure, bimini, foredeck cushions, bow sprite, genaker, exterior saloon window covers, freezer, microwave, up speced engines, upspeced sound system, slated beds, extra aft cleats, interior fans, second tv main cabin, davits. That’s about it I think, it’s important to note we are taking a lot of this gear factory fitted because we want to get out of La Rochelle as quickly as we can and get sailing due to our Schengen restrictions. Getting work done in La Rochelle along with everyone else can be a nightmare in summer. If we could take the boat into the med and do some things like washing machine, tv we probably would but our restrictions make that hard. Hope this helps, if you have any more questions just shout out, cheers.
@@LetsDanceSailing Wow! Thank-you for the very detailed list. Did you add an additional freezer? If so, where did you decide to put it? With all the solar you have plan would you ever consider going electric for the galley (oven and cooktop) instead of gas? I really hope you do a video in the future when you get your solar array set up. Looking forward to more vids!
@@chrismehling9968 , Hi Chris not going with the extra freezer, we had one on the Lucia and didn't use it. We have considered the induction cooktop and electric oven but the wife is an old school chef and LOVES her gas. We plan to do a whole episode on moving on board the new Let's Dance and going through all of the options etc, solar, controller and inverter charger will all be covered. We move in July next year, stay tuned and thanks again for you comment
Just found your channel. I’m looking for a cat very much like this one in a few years. Since you guys are repeat F-P buyers will be a good compare to some of the other 45’ class owners out there.
Robert Weiss , Hi Robert and welcome aboard. As you obviously know we are moving from the 40 to the 45 and can honestly say we loved the 40 and hope this new one will live up to our expectations. We plan on filming the whole pickup process and moving onboard in La Rochelle and hope to capture our likes and dislikes throughout the process. Thanks for taking the time to comment, stay tuned our pickup date is July next year, cheers.
Let's Dance Sailing looking forward to that. Can you share why you chose F-P over Lagoon, Leopard, Nautitech, etc. for your 40?
Robert Weiss , researched all of those you mentioned and some more. Short listed FP, Lagoon and Leopard after 2 years of looking and in the end it came down to overall finish of the product inside and out. The look and feel of the FP just suited our requirements for a boat that felt like an apartment but still had reasonable sailing characteristics. In the end though Robert, most of these boats are all very similar and you will fall in love with which ever one you choose. Best of luck with you research and journey going forward, cheers.
Good video not only the interiors and cupboards. At least you showed engines and system battery compartment.
Interesting would be standard fit for watermaker, starter battery port side, Electric wiring and terminal strips & fuses box. Cable ducts to / from mast to “nav station” or what’s left of it. Dinghy davits (loads) and max. dinghy size (340?).
Thanks Robert, we hope to do another one now that we have had 6 months living on board her, cheers.
That's fantastic! Why the Change? I thought the one you have is beautiful and the right size. Fair winds.
A great opportunity to move into the latest model Linda. The Lucia was and still is the perfect boat for Med cruising in our opinion and we will always have a soft spot for Hull #18.
Well! I get the impression the new LD will be sailing to Australia.
Linda Van that’s the plan Linda, but then again our plans change weekly 🕺💃🏻
Awesome boat, the base price is great. Thereafter the sad fact is everything else that you see on the display boat is an optional extra. By time you have finished with a decent boat, you are over the Euro 600 000 mark.
This is true Dave a fully optioned boat will be in that price range, cheers.
Beautiful boat well laid out, only one complaint is of course is a lot of sharp edges on your furniture,
patrick coleman Hi Patrick yes seems to be a concern to many, we’ll have to be careful, cheers.
@@LetsDanceSailing OK, I winch a bit of the thought of getting nailed on the coffee table, cheers from Oz
Beautiful boat! I happened to notice the "standing" navigation station on the new 40" Isla as well. Off the bat I'm not a fan. As much as you may use pilot books and paper charts I don't see the room there to spread things out. I'm interested to find out how it works out for the two of you. Best of luck with your new Elba. I hope you're able to pick it up soon.
Hi TT, yes we understand your concern and many share this view. For us though we haven't used paper charts to date, this could prove an issue when our passages take us further a field. Thanks for taking the time to comment, cheers.
@@LetsDanceSailing Thanks for getting back. The boats premiering currently will be in the used market in years time so I'm keeping a watchful eye on all the changes. I love everything about the Lucia 40 and that may very well be what I'm looking for when I retire.
Traveling Terrells, even though we have gone up to the Elba, we still firmly believe the Lucia is the perfect boat for a cruising couple in the Med....we miss ours a lot. Best of luck with your future plans ⛵️
Will you not be open to the elements at the helm or are you having it with a cover?
Karen Gray , Hi Karen, we are getting the Bimini with full enclosure much like the one we had on the Lucia so will be fully protected, cheers.
Hello friends, we are so happy for you. Hope to see your new home soon in Fethiye. Best wishes from LoveSail.
Bahadır Kantar , thanks so much guys. We will have to get together for a drink before we leave Fethiye to pick this beauty up. BTW, the Lucia’s are a great addition to the LoveSail fleet, cheers.
Hi good luck with your New FP
CAn you tell me where did you get your Onan generator and Water maker?
Hi Heyim, we bought both units with the boat, sorry not sure where Fountaine Pajot source this equipment from, cheers.
How does the pricing compare to the Helia? They always seemed slightly on the high side, has this gotten better or still pricey? Thanks!
Steven Cowart , Hi Steven not sure what the Helia came in at but the base price for the Elba is €457k, cheers.
Watching the video it all looks too clinical if you know what I mean, I like the darker look, but the boat look very nice. What’s the top speed ?
Fernando Gomes, know what you mean Fernando it is very white and some may say stark but once we fill it with our homely possessions and a whole lot of love we are confident we can make it look and feel like home. Will keep you posted on the top speed but they say she will be a faster boat than the Helia, cheers.
That are very wide hulls for size of boat.I wonder what is cruise speed
Montenegro Montenegrin , will keep you posted but they say she will cruise faster than the Helia, cheers.
7:15 in, when you looked at the control panel, my thought was, there has to me an app that shows the status. I really think it should be possible just by the word digital screaming at you when looked at it.
Hi mate, yes there is some info you can get remotely but the location of the panel will take some getting use to. Not a game changer, just different, cheers.
Have you finally used high quality ball heads on the steering linkage at Elba?
Lutz Anton , sorry Lutz don’t know the answer to this one, cheers.
@@LetsDanceSailing OK, I'll check it myself at the next boat show.
I bought a New saona 47 ı need to much advices from you
Hi Haymin, send us an email and we can talk more if you like, cheers.
will you be selling your Lucia 40? please do let me know, I'm on the market :)
Rafaël Tarantini , Hi Rafael sorry but she’s already sold. She was on the market for only a few days before she was snapped up buy a Canadian buyer, cheers.
@@LetsDanceSailing ah too bad :) would you mind sharing your list of options/or package? Your needs seem to match ours, I am trying to learn more on the Lucia
Rafaël Tarantini no worries, shoot me your email and I will send you our original options spreadsheet, cheers.
Hi are you still in turkey?
Yes, cruising north at the moment and waiting for the sea boarder to open up between Turkey and Greece, cheers.
Why do you need to make a toilet separately from the shower, at least have a hygienic shower installed !!! And why not make a bed from the side and the side, why these unnecessary shelves by the beds?!?!
Тупые проектировщике ничего не меняют в кабинах
Nemo Che , production cats Nemo, they are all going that way. Thanks for your comment, cheers.
