I'm so glad "Mount Wario" is the name of a track and not a command
Yeah, I'd hate to have to mount Wario's head on a wall, he seems like a cool dude.
@@Codes911 Oh. THAT'S where your mind went with that. I certainly didn't think anything lewd.. nope, not at all...
I wish it were both..

Also, Baby Park IS a never-ending loop of pure fun chaos.
That number one pick had me through a loop I'll tell ya what.
At first I thought he was joking, but I guess it's cool that he likes a track like that.
I dunno, that seems like a roundabout way of thinking.
Who... who... which one are you?

Ayy chippy! Couch gang says Hi
Shoutouts to dino dino jungle
I really, really want to know what they could do with Wario Colosseum if they ever were to revisit it. I always thought it was one of Double Dash's most impressive tracks. It's got a weird lap count of just 2, but it's lengthy and full of tight, precarious turns and big jumps.
Double Dash had more personality in its tracks than any other Mario Kart imo! Like, tornados sweep you up, giant piranha plants eat you up, bomb cars run around and explode, and more!
Eyy, never knew you liked the completionist!
I'm a fan of toads turnpike, nothing like driving into oncoming traffic.
haha that's the version in "extra mode" that you must be remembering most. The regular versions have you driving alongside the cars. Extra mode reverses stuff.
Eh, I prefer Moonview Highway, that track is just like Toad's Turnpike, but with more traffic, a bridge and crappy motion controls shoved in the mix.
Same!!! The original one for the Nintendo 64 is the absolute best track ever!

Baby Park is where you go when you want Chaos to run rampant.
out of all the years I've played Double Dash, I never had a round of Baby Park go without getting hit by at least one thing.
It's even better in MK8. Since the whole track is an anti-grav zone, you're actively encouraged to ram into each other full speed.
Big bananas and bowser shells are what make this track.
@@Duelkitten I miss the special items from double dash. Dodging those Bowser shells was so stressful lol
@@jardex2275 200cc was also a great addition
Point of contention, I hate Baby Park, the version when it was first introduced. The Mario kart 8 version turned one of my least favorite tracks into one of the best just by making it a hover track, thus making slamming into each other a priority. Suddenly it’s the most intense game of bumper cars ever and I love it
For me it's the of het wat around. Huge banana's and bowsershields were the one thing which made babypark chaotic and impossible to win everytime. It was my favorite track of alltime. The remake ruïned this for me. How to win most of the time: use speedboost at the start, take an item every turn, make the shortest turns possible (through the grass). Maybe my friends just aren't on my level, but I feel like the one thing what made babypark special was the crazy double doubledash items.
I disagree, the chaos in DD is what made it fun with all the different special items.
I’ve been saying it for a while, I want Mario Kart to get the same “Ultimate” treatment that Super Smash Bros. got in the next installment. Every character, kart, and track
yes!! and i'd love if they brought back the old mechanics too, like imagine if you could have two people in one car, and bikes with wheelies in the same race. That'd be fantastic
This would be my dream game. But the tracks can't be changed up to much like they've done to some, like Coconut Mall. I would be happy if we even could just buy the old Mario Karts instead of having an Online subscription.
That would be great
200cc Baby Park is some of the most Fun I have ever had, it is absolute insanity and Joy and something any Mario Kart fan should try at least once.
Bomb obs only
@@Seth-jd5xn We did do a round or 2 of Bob-ombs only, but it slowed things down too much for us.

Mario Kart Double Dash had the most personality out of any Mario Kart and is my favorite! :D
My favorite is the entire Mario Kart Wii track list. That’s right. You can’t tell me what to do. My list, my rules.
I love MK Wii, it's probably my favorite.
@@hylianchampion8867 same bro. MKWii is easily my favorite.
Eh...8's is better.
@@jaydenc367 in your opinion, at least.
@@jaydenc367 which is fine, everyone has a different opinion.
Oh wow, what a sweet idea for a top 10! I'm so happy you included Music Park at #6. It always cheers me up and it's so nice to play the keyboard/marimba with my kart hahaha
never have you set-up the first place of a list so well LOL
I've been on a mario kart series binge lately, this upload made me happy and having you put baby park at #1 after admitting you know what it is and you love it for that put a big smile on my face. Awesome video to everyone who worked on this!
My favorite is Mariokart Wii’s Grumble Volcano. It falling apart and changing over time is an awesome gimmick, and it’s history with the discovery of the ultra shortcut is also super cool.
I think I know a GOOD name for a race event. THE BABY PARK 500! Basically, it's 500 laps around Baby Park.
You mean like a real world race? 500 laps on an oval?
@@thevoyagingcreator that's about right. Kinda thought up the idea because of the name "Daytona 500". Overall, it's a good name for an endurance race around Baby Park.
I'm gonna be salty when Toad's Turnpike isn't in this video.
Right!!? The Turnpike is so heart pumping, especially when you reverse the course and have to dodge the cars coming straight at you.
@@mastematt Moonview Highway has the same thing going for it except it's an actually good track aside from that too
I love the turnpike, but it’s too stressful
Wario Colosseum is my favorite. It's also one of the few mario kart tracks to not return in another mario kart game.
That one also has only 2 laps because it’s so huge!
The thumbnails on the videos are phenomenal
Choosing between 10 tracks is like picking a favorite child. I would even find doing a top 25 hard honestly.
Opening credits haven't even rolled and already I'm being attacked!
Still, great video. Love the work.

"Mario kart with every Fire Enblem character"
My Nightmare.
enblem
my dream
I am no FE fan but ngl that would actually be cool!
Having those over the top serious protagonist sit in a baby kart and get hit by a blue shell and see them whine about it would be funny as hell!
To be fair, Fire Emblem hasn't tried racing yet, although they kinda have some material to do it. We haven't had a medieval-themed racer in a VERY long time.
My nightmare would be Nintendo adding in Centaur Peach from the concept art of Super Mario Bros 3.
I always find the SNES Rainbow Road far too flat, with nothing going on. I love the tight turns and elevator action of Double Dash’s, or the unique planetary track sections in 7’s. And 8’s remake of the N64 one has great music (It’s just to bad the track is far too short to actually hear the whole song).
...yoshi’s circuit was just yoshi all along? Don’t know why after all these years ive never realized it.
Always will be.
Always bumblebee
I see someone doesn't pay attention to cutscenes.
@@ShadyDoorags I usually just listen to the music while looking away during cutscenes 😂
I love how every 100 episodes all the intros and other things gets more and more animated and better, it’s amazing
For me it's the ghost house on the snes. Discovering that shortcut for the first time after getting a feather or mushroom and using it to beat my friends. Original and best. 👍
I've always liked tracks that don't have the normal 3 lap cycle and are instead a long path towards the goal, my favorite being Mount Wario
On the Genesis, one of my favorite games was Streets of Rage...you need a friend to betray to see both endings of the original. The sequel has only one ending. The third has four endings.
Jirard didn't mention my favorite thing about the Excite Bike track: it's different every time you race. The obstacle placements are semi-random, and there's something like 200 different variations. So it's never quite the same from race to race, which gives it extra replayability.
This was so chill and so fun! I love the little jokes and the snark thrown in!

I was missing the battle courses. Now I’m hoping you will do a top 10 of that in the near future.
great graphics for the numbers! very nice!
Mario Kart tracks? A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
My favorite of all time are Waluigi pinball and Airship fortress
How tf did music park beat waluigi pinball
@@qualitycontent9343 Because waluigi pinball is overrated. It's only carried by its music and visuals, but design-wise, it's only a B-tier track. Maybe A-tier.
@@demetriuskafkoulas5005 I don’t care for the music or visuals or theme. I think the track layout is prefect
Okay Number One gave me a good laugh and smile. You are awesome, Jirard.
Keep uploading! Your content is entertaining! Also, whats your favorite video game console?
I'll never understand why everyone loves excitebike so much
Fantastic music, and the track itself is both fairly simplistic and wildly variable.
I like the theming and the homage it pays but I don't find it the most fun to drive tbh I get why people like it tho
It's kinda fun on 200cc for the sheer amount of air you can get with every up at that speed.
The issue is just that it doesn't have much staying power. A race on it is occasionally fun, but it is far too basic to maintain interest.
I disagree with a lot of your picks on this list... however I respect your opinion
The Mario Kart 8 remake of N64 Rainbow Road is my personal favorite. It only goes the one lap, but the dazzling beauty of it gets me every time
I watched the beginning and because baby park is my favorite I felt like you ripped my heart out. It made the ending joy inducing xD thank you
rainbow road is supposed to be hard. like sure the game is accessible but that doesn’t mean they can’t put in a difficult level
When you were talking about Music Park, it really annoyed me that you didn't show any MarioKart 7 gameplay seeing the track is from that game, not MarioKart 8, and that MK 7 is my favorite MarioKart game.
Yes!! I was kinda bummed there was no MK7 appreciation too.. Especially it's awesome Rainbow road!!
They literally made you drive on the moon! Hands down the best RR track in the whole series so far (fight me (ง’̀-‘́)ง)
This is my favorite video. The twists! The Suspense! The drama!
Just a quick correction. While MK8 was the first entry to include DLC, it was not the first to feature tracks from other Nintendo properties. Not counting the arcade games, I believe MK7 has that honor with Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu from Wii Sports Resort. They're also two of my favorite tracks.
My family obsessed over Wii Sports Resort. Through the Island Flyover minigame, we got to know the ins and outs of Wuhu Island pretty well. (Every medal, during every time of day). The details made it feel like a real place that we should have been able to walk or drive around. That's why I loved its inclusion in MK7. It was the same island, but I could see it all from ground level. It was also the first single lap track I saw, which was pretty mind blowing at the time.
I really hope that at least one of those courses makes it into MK9. Heck, port Wii Sports Resort to the Switch!
No mention of Wario Colosseum, the only map in the series to have only 2 laps because it's so long?
Here me out

Baby Park is not luck. It takes extra skills.
The disrespect is insane. It takes a ton of skill to navigate the chaos. Baby Park is a classic.
You could make a top10 video about your favorite kind of cacti species and I'd still watch it. So addictive.
Awesome list, I was NOT expecting Baby Park to be number one lol.
If Mario Kart 9 were to ever come out, It should take notes from this video
I guess I’m the biggest fool there is. Baby Park is Mario Kart in its truest essence. Not races of skill , but races of pure, unadulterated, bull$hit and fun.
Hell yeah brother love me some Baby Park.
Wrote this before I even finished the video. I’m glad Jirard is a fool too!
Jirard, you probability hear this too often but you're such a good entertainer on CZcams. Much love.
I love Baby Park!!!! I was so pumped when you put it as number 1!!!
Normally i'm all "yeah I can respect someone else's opinion" but this list is a straight up war crime.
"You are a fool if you pick [Baby Park] as your favorite."
FINALLY someone who gets it! Can't wait to also not see SNES Rainbow Road on thi-
*sees #2*
....oh.....nevermind....you lost me...
*sees #1*
Okay, I'm being serious. What was the point of this list? I enjoy watching your Top 10s because they bring new ideas and opinions to the table. But here, you just slapped the two most-popular and, IMO, most overrated courses on the top.
Not to mention, you contradicted yourself during #2. "Mario Kart is supposed to be easy to pick up and play....and SNES doesn't have this issue." That's only true in length. This course is a massive difficulty spike compared to the rest of Super Mario Kart, as the game is extremely slippery, the majority of the course is very narrow, and there are absolutely no fences to help you. The average played is bound to fall off around every 15-20 seconds, and that's generous for some people.
I've gotten extremely sick and bored of this course. It's been in 5 Mario Kart games. FIVE! (SNES, GBA, 7, 8, Tour.) I think the music to it sounds...just...bad. The modern versions are okay, but the older versions sound wany, and it always sounds like it's interluding to a real piece that doesn't exist.
And the track design itself isn't anything original, either! Sure, the colors, Thwomps, and zero fences make it stick out from the rest of the game, but that doesn't change the fact that overhead...it's just a jank E. With other modern tracks throwing other elements to keep tracks refreshing and twist track layouts, like anti-gravity, gliding portions, cannons, underwater sections, etc., why should this course that refuses to go away keep my interest with its bare-bones design that hasn't aged well?
And, unless you get stuck in the pack, the same can be said for Baby Park. Once you get far ahead of everyone, it's usually pretty smooth sailing, taking the drift over and over again every less-than-10 seconds. It's expecially bad on the Wii U/Switch version, where awkward lighting makes it hard to see what hit you sometimes, and the drift pattern is overall easier to do, making it feel even more boring when you're ahead of the pack.
Bruh he just likes the courses and has fun, something that seems kinda alien to you lol
@@theoneandonlyjs19 I enjoy playing Mario Kart with friends. I also enjoy being able to tell what's going on over 90% of the time, feel like I have good control, feel rewarded for how I skillfully cut corners, and not feel like I'm taking the same turns each time. None of those things apply to Baby Park, none of them apply to the old versions of SNES Rainbow Road, and few of them apply to modern SNES Rainbow Road.
A little bit of luck and Chaos in Mario Kart...I tolerate. Too much, and it's not fun. And if I'm ahead of the pack in Baby Park, the chaos is gone and it's too boring.
But I suppose you have a point. Whatever Jirard's definition of "fun" is...it probably is foreign to me. We all find different ways to have fun, though. If that's what he finds joy in, so be it. I just wanted to deliver constructive criticism to the questionable existence of this video, while also pointing out a contradiction.
@@CodenameHockhead the game isn't for you if you only want a little bit of luck. There are many other racing and kart style games that are more player skill dependent.
If you truly think it's valid criticism to argue against someone who explains that they just have fun with your argument that they are wrong about fun idk man, maybe these sort of vids are too much for you
@@theoneandonlyjs19 What? It's not for me?I've played over 250+ hours of Mario Kart 7, and not often did I feel cheated of a win due to uncontrollable circumstances. (Unless it had to do with laggy netcode making my own red shell target me. That happened too often.) I even was able to obtain 10,000 VR before just about everyone else in my friend circle that played often with me. If I made a comparison to, say, Mario Party, that's a game I feel miserable playing because of how luck-based the entire thing feels.
In general, I think Mario Kart very often rewards the more-skilled racer. It's really only hard to gauge when players are at nearly the same skill level. Now, Mario Kart Wii on the other hand...that's a different beast. I believe items in that game are far too punishing and less avoidable, making it way less desirable to play compared to most other games in the series. But that's really the only one I have that gripe with. I've had much better experiences with DS, 7, and 8.
I don't know why you're saying I'm telling someone that their fun is wrong; I stated that Jirard's idea of fun might be different from mine, and I'm not aiming to change that. I was merely criticizing the existence of the video for bringing few new ideas to the table. These videos *are* for me because I enjoy looking at new perspectives, especially through the lens of someone that completes games for a living...but this video did not fit into that category, so I became disappointed, upset, and critical.
@@CodenameHockhead 'disappointed, upset and critical'
Lol
not just a good top ten but great foreshadowing Jirard you mad man
LMAO the blues brothers scene. Now I wonder, what is the developer at Nintendo watching that scene and he said “should we make a Mario kart track out of this scene?”
that transition was actually very smooth
The bean stalk cloud track from 8 is perfect, the atmosphere the obstacles and the amazing yet risky short cut right at the end
I’m totally agree with #1. When I was a kid I saw which was the guiness record so I tried a lot to replicate it (Unfortunately I didn’t achieve it) so until now I’m the best of my friends and family running at this circuit jaja. Great video as always!
At the beginning when you were talking about baby park, I was getting the pitchforks ready, but seeing as it's your #1, I can put them down.
I love the new number transitions
What a awesome and yet surprizing list!
I weirdly agree with most of your choices, exept Royal Raceway, Koopa Troopa Beach, Snes Rainbow Road and Baby Park. I would place 3ds Rainbow Road, Maple Treeway, Piranha Plant Slide and Airship Fortress on it.
But great video, thanks a lot!
The Rainbow Road from Double Dash is still my favourite one of the bunch. It is just so long with a lot of twists and stretches with no borders. Also the soundtrack is awesome.
GBA Sunset Wilds with the sun going down on each lap was nice
My #1 is the Rainbow Road from 7. Its so beautiful and the music is GORGEOUS!
Looks like a new format for your Top 10s.
I am so here for Baby Part as number one! When you bashed it at the start I was like "I guess that's fair if you value high skill play" but then you swung back around and said "IT'S FUN" and HELL YEAH IT IS
One of my favorite gaming memories involved a full night of just Baby Park with my friends after Double Dash came out. I'd try to get them to play other courses. But all roads led straight back to Baby Park, and that music was burned into my mind. Now it's my favorite track, and I absolutely love it and its chaos.
these thumbnails are amazing
Baby park has been my favorite track since gamecube. I love the chaos that comes to baby park. Rainbow road snes is my 2nd favorite map, it’s pretty great
Literally popped off at number 1. I 100% agree. Both ironically and unironically, my favorite too.
I definitely agree with that last pick. Insanity with a good amount of skill needed. Pure Mario kart goodness.

Did you know Music Park is based on Wii Music ? The neon colored screens are the default background in Wii Music, and the big black smiling notes are the be-bop metronome displayed during sessions. Sound effects used when then jump are also borrowed directly from Wii Music.
I ain't gonna lie. You got me in the 1st half, haha.
After describing Baby Park, it feels like the battlefield of Mario Kart. But now...
We need to know which is better, RR or BP
Good on you for that #1. It's not my favourite level but it is the most fun one.
Funny you made the comment, because Yoshi Park was the first track that came to mind when I first viewed this video. Not necessarily my favorite, but the first one to come to mind for whatever reason.
I admit sometimes I find myself going "Jirard, why establish rules if you're gonna break them!?" but then I look at basically any list I've ever done and there's always at least ONE entry where you just have to be like "Okay, I'm cheating here...but I don't care."
