Coming into this my goal was just to qualify, and whatever happened in the invitational I’d be happy with. Did NOT expect to reach the top half and make it quite far into it. I’m quite proud of that against so many insanely good competitors. Thanks to everyone who cheered us on! Shame I wasn’t free for the FFA afterwards but I’m satisfied, thanks again for hosting these.

Watching the tournament finals really feels like watching a movie, that movie that you've waited so long to see and when it's finally out you realized that It was totally worth the wait. Thank you Troy for another great tournament, can't wait for the ones to come all over this year. You're the best!
I swear Matutino is a legend at this rate. The amount of times they are able to run away with such high placements throughout this tournament is phenomenal!
He didn't run away whatsoever it was an INSANE 2 man brawl between himself n police but I did predict him to WIN the tournament To be fair police was insanely close to winning if he was a little quicker on the fib at dk summit he'd have frame perfect n ended matutino right there
The funny thing is that when Troy streamed this and got out in the 2nd GP, Troy raided empex, and when Empex got out the 3rd GP, Empex had to raid Soony. All I have to raid is “Raid Train!”
Matutino is crazy good at this game. He’s won both speed based knockout tournaments and had the most vehicles for both. With all his achievements I find it really funny how the one thing he struggles with is Item Rain.
Matutino is always at the top of these events and I’d even go as far as to say he’s at the same skill level as Troy is if not better when it comes to competitive. Its unfortunate for him that he didn’t get the gold trophy back in the Item Rain tournament. However, I think that regular 200cc or 400cc is more about technical skill, shortcuts, and out-maneuvering opponents, but Item Rain is a completely different beast. It’s about being observant of your field for the power items and trying to dodge as many hazards as you possibly can. Although I’m somebody who hasn’t played MKWii in years, basically hypothesizing.

spoiler: quick note for everyone, here is how many things had to go wrong for Troy to lose when he did - empex’s bill had to drop him right off the edge in 1st - i had to pull shroom in 2nd/9 (very low odds) - shock had to happen at a certain point - Troy had to get passed at the worst possible time - police had to go on the ramp costing him a spot so yeah troy got really unlucky with that, if any one of those things doesn’t happen i am eliminated and he moves on

Across the 200cc and 400cc invitational KO's Matutino finished 1st 2/2 times on the qualifying leaderboard, finished 1st 7/8 GPs in the Invitational finals and was the overall winner for both tournaments. A true phenom of Mario Kart Wii
I am really happy of the series. I watched all of the 400 cc videos with joy, devoured the item rain series and I am given an other treat with this 200 cc custom track series. Matutino is the best and I respect him for his skill. I will probobly never surpass any of you in MKWII and I don’t participate in these KOs but always keep up the good work because I love giving support gor this channel.

I'm happy that Matutino won again because he often drives with Peach and I prefer Peach way more than Daisy not depending on my personal skills or my interests. Every win from Matutino is great and the way at the last race is just epic. I want also say Thank you Troy for doing this tournaments. It's fun to watch and also cool to see so many different vehicles which also cool to see.
I looked up the players here when you said wr holders were here and it turns out that, this invitational had 9 wr holders on 150 or 200 so yeah it is that brutal. Everybody except for hafer and flag k is a record holder and i bet those two can get records too because theyre here.
