I would've went with you :( I didn't know there was a pen show in Philly until a couple of days ago....I'm sooooo disappointed. I just got into fountain pens & journaling so that show would've been perfect for me. I'm glad you had fun!!!!

Wow, that Franklin Christoph is stunning 😍. I’m also focusing on my current pen collection and seeing what works with what as far as inks and nibs go. I had a lot of acquisitions in 2023, now I want to use them all.

You are rocking some awesome pens. That Scribo! I like working with Kirk. He rescued me when my vintage Montblanc 149 needed mucho work. And I totally relate to wanting to enjoy the pen collection more by having nibs tuned to my liking. Love your videos.

Ahh pen shows - not too many down under, and relatively small I’ve heard. Great nib swap! The FC looks superb. I find Gioia nibs so smooth and wet, and they fit Jowo housings. BTW Fontoplumo in the Netherlands sells the nibs only. Do you find other nibs good for different purposes?

Oh I’m so glad you got to a pen show Brittany. I am yet to go to attend one. We only have one here in Australia in Melbourne and it is tiny compared with the ones in the US I believe. My dream is to save up and fly to the US and go to the San Francisco one some day 😊 It must have been wonderful to get some pen grinds done in person! Take care lovely and hope you start feeling better soon 🥰

That was a thorough and thoughtful review! I've never been to a pen show, (& I grew up in Philly and Jersey) but the idea of refining the pens that we have is very appealing. Great advice! Thank you for your thoughts and review!

Pen shows are so much fun!!! Next time you go you will have to post on IG or CZcams hey I will be here meet me at Starbusk at 2PM because I know I would have went to a coffee shop for a meet up. I wonder how many people walked right past you that watch your channel but just did not know it was you with all the excitement of being there. I hope you had fun!!!

I recently started following Samuel naldi his in Switzerland. His are high and the interviews with his buyers are interesting. Not my price range but I learn a lot from his channel. Hope you feel better soon. Have not made a show yet so thanks for the tips

Thanks. Yes attending the Philadelphia Pen Show would fall under your suggestion. Local shops aren’t that close to me. And I do have pen pals which I swap with so I’m working on the things from your list. 😊
I understand concerning shops close to you and I have tons of stationary that I share with once in a while. I think I overwhelm people with how much I send them. But it's hard to find likeminded people in my area.@@CarrotsOlives
