I love how there are mainly arabian lords in this mission, and they were like "fuck it" and threw in The Pig as well, he stands out like crazy to me lol.
Crossbowmen + shields is such a deadly combination damn. Also that initial rush with macemen was impeccable!
Isn't that the point of Pavise Crossbowmen basically?

For some reason, when I played this mission, Saladin was left in his ruins until the endgame when I cleaned up the remaining lords, they could have killed him anytime, but spared him, and I was determined to kill everyone else first.
The same stuff happened to me today, even though the AI tried their hardest to kill him.
You know the war is serious when the battles are so long the battle music reaches that beautiful voice.

Iirc they get a 25% boost, although Idk whether it's both to hp and damage or only 1 of those

I have always wondered why is Saladin there maybe to serve for a little bit of a distraction but he gets destroyed in the beginning but dies late in my games because no one bothers to send troops to kill him
I gave caliph tower with mangonel balista and some bread. He's now throwing rock at my castle and send assassin to kill my lord in this mission. I regret it.

When you just played this mission today at 20 game speed and somehow Saladin survives long enough that you’re able to kill him.. despite the AI’s attempts.. thus tying down units that could have been sent to attack me for most of the game.

Funny story, I installed the game after 10 years or so and apparently played on the wrong resolution so only found out about the magic bar again after googleling how to beat Lionheart mission.
I beat all but the 3 missions I used my chickens on without magic, on accident. But I also lowered speed and rushed enemies so it doesn't really count.
I did best the whole crusader trail extreme without magic and woth improved castles and AIcs. I also improved them a little bit further myself taking evrey fixes and aggressive krarilotus as base. Changing nothing of the outline but shifting buildings so more match inside

Hey bro can you make a video on how to install play custom maps made by other users? I've been trying to play the 4 char map by krarilotus but i can't seem to install it. I already have the UCP downloaded.
Did he make that video/did you learn? Basically you copy and paste the MAP file into your "maps" folder. Make sure you don't put it into the extrememaps folder.
Then custom scenarios and play.

You install UCP (Unofficial Crusader Patch) and then you won't have to reselect shields every time you place one tent down

Can you beat mission 80 without using shields?
I've been trying that challenge myself but I have no luck so far
I actually did it without shields. Took about 5 hours though
Guys I did the whole game just with maceman, archers and catapults
Just 5-7 mangonels for defence 30 crosbowman and you dont need shields.. actually i beat this game when i was younger and never use engineres only for ballista and mangonels.
I've never used shields. They're broken, and besides the AI can't use them.
When you stack enough crossbowmen it doesn't matter how many ranged troops they send.
So im new to stronghold and i still didnt figure out how u can make the leather armor
You need to build both a tanner and a cheese farm. The tanner will then take cows from the cheese farms, butcher them and make leather harnesses.

If only there could've been challenge mode, where for example:
- you would start with a 3000 gold
- you have to make sure Saladin doesn't die or else you'll get *DEFEAT*
- are no portable shields available
- are no walls available
- are no horse archers available
The *VICTORY* would occur if you kill all other lords
How would that be possible

Try something more....ehem you know, *challenging* (like using Spearman instead of faster and more effective options)
Obvious strategies would make things too easy, so my vision is to spice up the difficulty by playing differently

I think so, for the supreme player😄, "my brain has reached the maximum capacity and can't catch up with" lol, if you slow it down for longer I have a lot of time watching PS. I don't know the speed of the game affects your play or not

Yeah hotkeys + I got used to using 2 fingers on the same click! Also keep in mind the video is slightly sped up (10%)
Cool idea but the video get boring because there is the only gameplay with no commentary
