  • Today we go through a Lennox package unit that is no longer communicating with the energy management company. We learn a bit about the lennox humiditrol option and a little bit of other stuff. Enjoy- sorry for the poor audio at the end.

For the EMS board.. take that fuse out. Then you can jumper out the relays you want to test.. example: stage 1 heating or cooling stage 1.. ETC. on that relay you will see the 2 male spades on the same relay. jumper them together as connect them on the same relay.. voila. I find testing the cooling stage is best for last when I test for all

U are looking at low ambient switch , it is basically a cfan cycle switch .

I don’t think there’s any pistons in that scroll compressor.

Wouldn't the reclaim coil be a condenser since its routing hot discharge gas through that coil downstream of the evaporator?? Evaporator dehumidifies and chills the air so the reheat coil uses hot gas to raise the temp back up so you have dehumidified air at the temperature you want? Love the videos man!

On the data plate, the item labelled Evaporator is the indoor blower motor

I always hate the unknown variables of turning up after someone else has walked away with the unit turned off. You wonder if something's going to go bang when you turn it on again or if there's a miswiring booby trap.
Your sound is really good with a compressor and fan running. Are you using a phone to record? (I use Moto G's for my own videos.)

Your exactly right Clive- theres a bit of nervousness when you start playing around in a machine that is just left off, never know whats going to happen

Doesn't the reheat cool come AFTER THE evaporator, not before?

  • @actechformallyyomama746

The ambient pressure switch maintains pressure above freezing. Like on a server room unit that runs all year. On R22 the condenser fan should come on around 275psi with a differential of 50psi. So off around 225psi. This keeps the evaporator temp above 32 degrees.

worst place i ever had to get to was a euipment room above a jail, cell on second floor, hvac on third. to get there enter the basement and climb a 4 story ladder, they had a winch to bring up tools and equipment. this whole system was ground source.

Bloody control board with no screen , just switches and codes ,urgh !
I'm gonna stop complaining about the RTUs I work on , they might be complicated, but at least they have a controller with s screen and buttons !
    Kudos to you fellas !

@@curioushvacguy6876 not at all , I usually work on systems with Carel regulators or such , the nice thing is they have a screen and buttons 👍
