I'm going to be taking you through my experience and testing after weeks of use to help you decide if this new 3rd Gen OLED Meta Technology on this panel is actually as revolutionary as it's been made out to be. In this video I break down all the features and flaws and also compare it to the Alienware AW3423DWF OLED Ultrawide, the massive and flexible Corsair Xeneon Flex OLED Ultrawide and LCDs so you can see how they differ.

    • @frankjohannessen6383
      @frankjohannessen6383 Před 5 měsíci

      Very late answer, but yes. It has a KVM-switch. You need to connect your peripherals to the usb-ports on the monitor, then one of your machines with the USB-C and then you need to connect the other machine to the upstream-usb port and either hdmi or DP. When you change input source on the monitor, your keyboard, mouse and whatever else you've connected to the monitor will also change.

However the main difference between the two and why I’m might get the Innocn is because the Innocn has double the Local dimming zones than most mini led monitors (1152 zones versus half that on other products). @@JustinTechTips Alientware is a waste in terms of motion clarity. The sample-and-hold refresh method that OLED unfortunately emplys (like LCD does) is a huge motion-clarity bottleneck until you get to around the 180-200 Hz/fps range. Maybe 170. Below that, it doesn't matter how fast the OLED's pixel response times are, the motion-clarity is bottlenecked. Once you get to the 190-200 Hz/fps area though, then the OLED motion clarity superiority can easily be seen. At 240 Hz/fps, the difference is bigger still. At 240 Hz/fps, OLED motion clarity is about that of a fast TN LCD in around the 400-500 Hz/fps range, but under 170-ish Hz/fps, there's basically no difference because of the sample-and-hold refresh method being too much of a bottleneck.

      My 45" LG 45GR95QE-B can get eye-searing bright in SDR mode and it's basically a 45" 21:9 version of the same monitor/panel. After tweaking it correctly, it gets awesome bright. Not true at all. Unfortunately, with regards to motion clarity, OLED is a waste at anything under around 170 or 180 Hz/fps as the sample-and-hold method of refreshing the screen which OLED unfortunately uses (as does LCD) means the OLED's way faster pixel response times are bottlenecked by the sample-and-hold refresh method. Once you get to around 200 Hz/fps, then you really start seeing the motion clarity difference between OLED & LCD, and even more so at 240 Hz/fps.
      The motion clarity of OLED at 240 Hz/fps is around the same as a fast TN LCD at around the 400-500 Hz/fps range.

    I prefer my Corsair Flex. 👍😎 Though I wish it had an Nvidia G-Sync module that could handle 240 Hz and DisplayPort 2.x. My prior monitor was a 32-in Acer. My Dell OLED 175 Hz was the equivalent of a 27-in which to me is too small. All I play is Call of Duty and I do plan on a competitive level so the bigger the better.

      Displayport 1.4 can do 240 Hz with DSC. Also, HDMI 2.1 can do it without DSC. It doesn't have an Nvidia G-Sync module but why do you need DP 2.x for 240 Hz? I have the 45" LG 45GR95QE-B. 240 Hz works perfect in, both, HDMI and DP modes. You can even get Nvidia DSR working at the full 240 Hz with non-DSC HDMI 2.1 and non-DSC DP 1.4 after a few tweaks.

    the bad thing about OLED gaming monitors:
    1: dead pixel, 30 days or 14 days to return, or replace, warranty will cover 5 dead pixels, its hard to replace it under warranty sometimes .
    2: OLED displays have shorter life than lcd monitors.
    3: Expensive, you can get lcd cheaper option instead of OLED if you're on a budget.

      That's the main reason why I'm considering this Corsair one over the ASUS ROG PG27AQDM.
