i will say the Mclassic is a well known upscaler used by many people that have hdmi modded retro consoles what it actually does is antialias the rendered image to provide a smoother image without introducing latency its been around for a while and mclassic makes many other retro themed products on the market

Using it on the original Xbox and Gamecube in particular is like night and day difference.
Met Austin the other day for a quick hello. Seems like a genuinely chill dude.
So the distinguishing factor to GameStop used systems is whether it’s pre owned or refurbished.
Pre owned systems are ones that were tested in the store & are fine to sell. They will have minimal packaging, but should have still been cleaned at the time of trade in & if being sent for an online order should have had added packaging.
Refurbished means for whatever reason something was wrong with the controller or system & it was sent to the GS factory in Texas to fix. That’s why it has more packaging by default, & also sadly why the outside of the system was treated with the Brillo pad or whatever they use there.
Both types will use the same outer box.

The analog sticks only last 400 hours on all controllers from 2013-2021 so I guess it doesn't rly matter lol. Did Xbox even update their analog sticks like PS yet?
@@mrlionman5466 it's basically the same thing with Geek Squad, they have one main center where all computer repairs happen and where refurbished products come out from. They have a couple other centers but those are specialized locations. Like there's one for Microsoft surface products specifically but that's all they do there.

I was screaming at the mclassic part when you plugged it in wrong. But yeah, it's marketed as an upscaler. I dunno why Gamestop is marketing it as a graphics card. It's a really cool device and I use it for my consoles and PC. Love that little thing. Also the blue light means it's in Retro mode so it's more for 4:3 retro games. Green light is more for 3D games
I also have an mclassic and I refuse to use my switch docked without it. It makes the graphics so much cleaner.

I'll be honest, I used to be a little sad that this channel became so "unserious" over the years but I've come to really love and appreciate the fun and and silliness of this channel.

I had the 458 wheel for awhile (red one) and with the right settings, it made FM7 open drift lobbies a tad more fun. While not having FFB or full rotation, I made use of the paddles and face buttons for my e-brake and clutch to hit with my thumb... Make do with what you got! It was fun.

That "Graphics Card", the marketing issues are from GameStop. The people that made it advertise it as an upscaler for retro consoles
The M Classic works great. I use it to upscale my Wii and other "retro" consoles.
As a GameStop employee, none of this is surprising. My store has an incredibly high standard for cleanliness apparently. Their whole order was more than likely packed and shipped by a store close to them, instead of a warehouse. Also "pre-owned" console its a console an employee bought as a trade-in and they deemed it worthy of resale and that's it. Refurbished consoles are consoles that were either broken and fixable or very dirty and then are overseen by a team of people at a warehouse. The state of shipment from the company is in shambles.

The Kinect was a massive failure as a game peripheral and the motion-control fad was annoying in general, but the tinkerers who made some absolutely jaw-dropping applications for it outside of gaming means it has a special place in my heart.
The Kinect was the fastest selling consumer electronics item in history, the fact that you can sign into your phone using your face is partially because of it too
You literally have no idea what your talking about Kinect sold over 30 million units alone too bad it was made to cater to filthy casuals
I use it for body tracking in pc vr.
@@ezyclapz1221 He didn't say it was a commercial failure, he said it was a failure as a game peripheral due to the motion controls. It sold a lot, but it was only really any good for dancing games, anything that needed any precision was terrible to play with Kinect. The other things it was used for - robotics, drones, augmented reality stuff, even medical uses - were all FAR better than anything it did as a games peripheral.
you only need the Power Brick Extension to it, and it can be turned into a depth sensing camera that can work as a Environment Scanner ... back in the day we used 6 of those daisy chained to scan people for mocap to easily import them to game engines ... a example of how it looks can be found in the Neill Blomkamp Demonic
The MClassic is NOT a scam. It does what it's supposed to, it upscales the source to look better. Highly recommend if gaming on older hardware.

Mclassic is great for systems like the GameCube DOL-001 with something like an eon mk.II adaptor. Makes for a solid combo for gaming on retro hardware. Looks and sounds sketch but the mclassic is legit man

Afterglow has been making controllers since I can remember. Love that band and will always recommend them. Currently using one for my PC
yeah i have both the Ps3 and Xbox ONE afterglow controllers, yeah i can agree the glossy clear plastic feels a bit cheap, but other than that, they are great! only problem with my Ps3 controller is that the deadzone for the thumbsticks are a bit off, like i have to move the stick quite far for anything to happen.
I own the same model as shown here, my only real gripe with it is that it doesn't include rumble. It works just fine and holds a good charge and was a great deal, but not having the rumble is kind of awkward now a days.

the most hilarious thing is when you use the mod pack it doesn't actually have any mods active you have to want to use them to figure out how to use them especially cause you have to dig into the manuals to find how to use them.

The switch pro controller is a lot more then just okay. 40 hours of battery life, the best motion controls and analog sticks and an actual working D pad. I'd say it's worth every penny
What sucks about this at least for me is that these scams are sometimes the only way people can get these consoles. I still remember the time I was wanting to get a PSP and the only way I could afford it was getting it pre owned from EB Games cause it was too expensive new. Also sucks cause consoles are cheaper in the US because here in AUS they are nearly double the cost

3:06 DON'T BUY THAT WHEEL, its a Thrustmaster T80 with a swapped wheel, if you really want to buy a wheel for PS4 / PC buy a used G29 /T150, or a G27 or G25 with the P3 to P4 Adapter on Amazon. you may be asking what is wrong with that? No Force Feedback, only 200° of Rotation (Trust me, it is pretty static as a wheel), The Pedals are REALLY OK not good, not too bad. If you don't want to spend a lot, stay with the PS4 controller its pretty good for Sim Racing.

I have a buddy who use to work at gamestop and anything marked refurbished was usually.....just sprayed down with a can of compressed air.
The PlayStation was broken when it was traded in and sent to the warehouse, that's why it's packed differently and seems "cleaner", because it was taken apart to be fixed so they actually clean em too at the warehouse.
The Xbox probably was sent from an actual store. Someone traded it and it worked. So the store worker had to clean it with canned air or at most they have a powered air gun.
They don't HAVE to clean the controller just wipe it off with like alcohol at most. Some employees clean them better than others, just depends on the store and the employee.
Like I used to make sure the clean the like seam on the controller and get all that gross hand dirt outta them with this like little tool pick my store had but not everyone did and not all stores had that 😂

I still on my Kinect V2 and use it as a windows hello camera for logging in with my face. If you were lucky enough to get one of those free adapters that made it work with the One S and X there is still life for it if you have a windows pc.
btw for the nintendo switch controller, ive had it for a little over a year, use it daily and it has 0 drift and is still lighting up good as new, peak product

I actually worked at GameStop, we didn’t test anything, as a matter of fact our boss when showing us what to do legit would test if menus work and if controllers can connect. We never tested the disc driver or anything. We tried cleaning controllers and we always packed everything tight so they don’t break. Whoever did your Xbox was handled badly. If you’d like to know anything comment and I’ll reply the best I can

That was legitimately the first time I've heard virtual surround sound just with my phone from the sirens. I literally thought there were police going down the road, which isn't new.
i bought the after glow controller for my daughter and i was actually suprised on how good it was compared to how in the 90s or early 2,000s clear off brand controllers used to be . Its actually worth it. I mean it even comes with paddles which is awsome.
8BitDo came on to the scene and proved you could make good controllers at decent prices. Their Switch Pro controller is has all the Switch features, rear buttons, software for remapping the buttons and the ace up the sleeve; the Hall effect senors.
And it comes with a dock, that not only charges the controller, it also has a USB passthrough and a dongle so that sweet latency free 2,4 GHz mode on PC. The facebuttons are Nintendo style, and on Bluetooth it reports as a regular Switch Pro controller, but on 2,4 it remaps itself to the Xbox layout.
All that, for the same price as a regular Xbox controller.
And that's just their latest release. Man, even their tiny controllers are really good. I think the Ultimate Bluetooth (such a cheesy name though) is the best controller I've ever tried, and I've been gaming since before Austin was born.

A Mr clean magic eraser sponge will clean up the brillo pad scratches, or use a brill pad making long, straight scratches length-wise to get that stainless steel brushed look.

So I’ve had the Mclassic since it released, I can attest to it. It does work. Especially for older consoles, most preferably with the gamecube. And it does help with the switch since I have it running to my 55’inch 4k tv. But I have it running through an hdmi switch so I have it for my switch, Wii U, gamecube, and ps3.
I just walked into gamestop 20 minutes ago they had a sliver mario and lugi 3ds xl for sale $140 no sd card and the hinge was loose and it had cosmetic flaws like crazy they gave the guy $50 bucks for it gamestop is crazy

Gamestop is like every other franchise, there are good ones and bad ones, and the experiences range accordingly
When I was working at GameStop I used to thoroughly clean anything that came in because they don’t properly test them nor clean them. I test them to see if it works to waste time at work. I enjoyed working at GS but fired me because lack of commissions. Didn’t sell enough GameStop membership cards

As a person who works at gamestop, i can tell you that most of my coworkers don't clean the consoles very well, but with me having OCD i like to make sure everything works

As a former Gamestop employee, the packaging all depends on what worker did it. If it was me, you'd get lottsa packing paper. If it was my Assistant Manager, everything would be slamming around.

I went a couple days ago and bought a used controller It looked great felt great but when I started playing the joystick came out loose and the R3 button is broken😞
The Strike packs and button attachment from Sony vary drastically. Main difference being, the one from Sony doesn't degrade nearly as quickly lol

That afterglow controller has been my pro controller alt since it came out. Been using it for 2 almost 3 years now.
I did have to kind of mod it just cause I didn’t like how the buttons were a bit stiff for me. So I slice parts of the membrane so it feels better for me. But other than that, they worked great.
I actually just bought one again cause it was on sale and ready to be used when the one I’m using breaks. Eventually...
Splurge next time, try the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth. Sure, it's 70 Freedom Eagles, but it's sooo good. And the boxes comes with added value, like a charging dock.
The Micro Center in Overland Park has a pretty dope racing setup, yeah it's a lot of money but it looks way way better than whatever Gamestop sells
or is like other companies that force you to use the products in the way it was intended, so I think for the switch you may need to use the dock so that you can connect it to the tv.
The manual shifting you have to go on the settings in the game and switch it
I spent the money on the switch pro controller. Most of the third party ones can't turn on the system but the official ones can. It always sucks to get comfortable for a gaming session only to have to get back up to turn on the switch.
They don't make the wheel 1 to 1 size because it's easier to deliver stronger force feedback with a small, low-torque motor if the wheel is smaller.

The Afterglow controller (8:56) actually doesn't get grody over time. My girlfriends had one for a while, and it still looks great!
