    Great segment thank you
I own the last model Colorado & the last model HSV Clubsport, a Holden person through & through.

I owned 11 holdens in my life and two weeks ago finally swapped from my Colorado to a Ranger. The Colorado was the most reliable car I have ever owned only requiring a single hose and a door switched replacing in 270+kms other than proper maintenance. the Ranger was back to the dealer within 5 days with a huge oil leak, then the 2nd week (this week) it had a coolant leak,. They fixed it and then told me there was another leak and also said the engine needs replacing. After spending $55k I am now stuck with a shitty loan car that I cannot fit any parts to so I can do my job. Ford Customer relations also seems to be a Indian call center who just tells you scripted crap and doesn't give real answers. I am talking about a brand new Ranger not 2nd hand. I am so depressed about this.

Which year Colorado did you like? I’m looking at the 4jj1 but prices are nuts, but I’ve found an 07 rodeo in budget and a few around about there for $5k more with 250-330kkms
Or the option for a 2014 at max budget also with the 2.8l diesel with 180kkms
I’m pretty out of my depth so I just ask any one nowadays
Or alternatively should I get a 1hz 80 series like everyone says is the go to

The government didn't kill the auto industry here. GM would have pulled out of Australia eventually and admitted they would have ceased production in 2021 regardless if they received subsidies from the government or not. If GM was selling 200 000 locally made cars here then perhaps Holden would still exist but in their last year they sold under 40 000 commodores. It was the public not to buy local no more and you cannot expect the government to subsidise a foreign company when the majority of people were not interested in their product.
