Doc sharpens chainsaw with a file in just a few minutes. This quick field sharpen is great when you hit gravel, rocks, or just feel the saw is cutting slow.

Thanks Doc! Good stuff! If you’re cutting wood and you’re not getting big chunks or chips (in other words, you’re producing fine sawdust), time to sharpen your chainsaw chain.

Good how to video. The only thing I would add is to lift your file for the back stroke... it will last much longer.

Is there a a certain size round file? There were 3 in your kit why not use the other ones.

Doc, you may know the knuckle is a depth gauge. Also, it helps to hold the file at the recommended angle and during the forward movement, it should be on the same plane. For safety reasons, wear gloves! Not rocket science, similar to a sluice box... 🤠

You should use the same number of strokes on each tooth so the saw will cut straight

  • @johnoneill7485
