Previously known as the ‘Wanda Metropolitano’, (and now currently the Civitas Metropolitano), it’s one of the most impressive football stadiums in the world. It’s home to Atletico de Madrid - a La Liga football team. It’s formerly the Olympic Stadium that’s now been converted to a football stadium. It’s one of the largest stadiums in the world located in Madrid, Spain. What is the stadium tour actually like?

You're welcome. It definitely was a better tour than Real Madrid (which I thought was a money grab), and it was definitely better than the Barcelona tour. It's a really nice stadium!

Yes I totally agree! 👍 And yes, stepping on the logo is an easy thing to do, but they swiftly tell you if you do!

I know you’re down on stadium tours for the moment but I think it would be great to see a few German teams tours! Specifically I suppose Dortmund and Bayern!

The Bayern tour, yes. But the only reasons to ever go into the towns of Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen is to see Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 - there's nothing else there apparently. Not sure if that warrants a special trip, but we'll see.

Thanks. Well, that all depends if I'm going to Dortmund or Munich. I'm most likely going to go to Munich for Oktoberfest, so probably then?
One day, I will visit Madrid and hopefully go to an Atleti Match or do the tour. They have big plans around the area which include building the new training center, community sports facility, Wavegarden, hotel, and possibly a TopGolf.
I hope you do! I've heard about their plans, they're ambitious - but I'd love to see it again when they build all that stuff!

Brilliant video. And from the video i can say brilliant stadium and tour. As a Fenerbahçe fan i would love if you could fly to Turkiye and do a stadium Tour of our stadium. The stadium is old but it has a lot of history and a amazing old fashioned feel to it.

@@UltimateBucketList Yes that is correct however they tend to be most days. All the information is on the twitter and official website, last time i checked the website has a english language option also to make things easier for people outside of Turkey looking to go.

I plan on doing the Keukenhoff in Amsterdam in March/April, so if I'm going to - it'll be around then hopefully?
That said, these latest stadium tours have bombed massively, so the motivation to make more is low.

Well, that's one reason why you'd put it ahead of Tottenham's stadium.
But I think the Tottenham stadium is still the best football-specific stadium in Europe.

@@BrisbaneBroncosfan67first and foremost it’s built for football. Natural pitch, stands from touch line- away fans section (London Stadium looking at you)- but the pitch can retract for other events and other tricks like the Dare Walk.
One could argue that Everton’s new ground is football specific- but that’s all it can really do- matchday revenue and other stadium sources revenue is getting more important in this FFP world- look at City’s plans with the Etihad

As indicated on my rankings, yes.
I think it's close though - the tours themselves are very similar, with the only real difference being the staff.
The staff here were good, the staff at Tottenham were even better, and the staff at Arsenal were exceptional.
Sometimes that's enough to make the difference.

At some point maybe. I think out of all the main stadiums in Europe that are left, that's the one I'd really want to do a tour of.
Possibly in October to coincide with Oktoberfest, maybe but I make no promises.
Especially seeing as though these Madrid videos aren't picking up the views that I'd like.

@UltimateBucketList Visiting the San Siro is definitely on my bucket list. I would love to see the stadium. I watched so many big Champions League games being broadcast from in person.
