  • With unseasonably warm weather gunners Garrett Wall and Jeremy Winters have a tough time finding game. Garrett finally becomes a man with a nice shot on his first bull. Jeremy makes the tough hunt worth it taking a very nice buck on the last day with a long shot. Jeremy finishes his rifle cleaning and maintenance series by disassembling the rifle and cleaning the trigger.

    Money has nothing to do with being good person or an ethical hunter. I read so many comments from people who bring money into the equation. Jeremy is just another guy who gets excited and loves hunting from my point of view. The Gunwerks team all seem to be a great bunch of guys who have been successful in business and life. By the way I can't afford their guns but i sure enjoy watching them do their thing...

    Its low because you dialed for 760 and not 860...?

      I noticed that, too. I even came back to replay the "dialing" and check on my own memory.

    Why arent you using the Revec Spotting Scope?

    The idiocy of his statement that it takes Gunwerks rifles and G7 rangefinders to make that easy 300 yd shot is ridiculous. I made that same exact shot on a much bigger buck in colorado laying on the BLM/private boundary with a $300 rifle with 2 guides watching.

    ALWAYS cover your scope lenses when cleaning a rifle.

  • @kerognes

    The shot on that elk was nothing but bad. It did no "go" down, it laid down, in pain. The fundamentals was so off, body of the shooter was in a 90 degree angle off the rifle. Where is the support for the recoil? I can only hope, you guys shot it again, after the camera was turned off. This is just sad.

      kerognes both shots were bullshit
      Haha guy said I think I’m going to shoot it in the neck and if I miss it will get up
      I don’t feel like waiting all day.
      Strong words would be had if I could talk to that piece of shit.
      They lost a subscriber today that’s for sure.

    So many people on here watching a short range shot that can't shoot worth a damn!

    Cover the score lenz . Chemicals will damage the fine glass coating

    The range was 860 but the shooter turned the turret to 760...Oops, still connected tho

    • @HiTechRob
      @HiTechRob Před 6 lety

      Aaron I thought the same thing. No way the “shoot to” range dropped 100 yards with that elevation. Dialed 760 for a 860 yard shot? Nope.

    • @Gunwerks
      @Gunwerks  Před 6 lety

      Angle, elevation, temperature and pressure all come into play here. If the turret was built for a lower elevation, it definitely could have been. Been long enough now, not sure what that turret was calibrated for.

      yip also noticed it! That`s why shot was low? Did you notice it was correct after the shot? mmmm makes me think...

    Anyone else notice that rifle wasn't bedded? Had an aluminum block but nothing else. For the money, I would expect some pretty tight craftsmanship. I have a Best of the West and they bed their rigs. I also bet anyone watching this has the skills needed to shoot a deer in the neck from the prone at 300 yards. Great buck though!

    • @Gunwerks
      @Gunwerks  Před 6 lety

      A well-engineered and well-built rifle doesn't need glass bedding. We've developed systems and processes to circumvent the need for bedding. We use tightly controlled tolerances on a CNC machined bedding block to mate perfectly with the action. This gives the same effect and performance as bedding. Our process is tight craftsmanship at its finest. Bedding simply fills the voids in poor or imprecise inletting.

      Mike Cash agree, my $700. Tikka .270 shoots 3" to 4"" groups at 300 yds. consistently.

    Bs. Ur guns aren’t the only rifles that shoot sub half minute. I killed my first buck with a 3-9 leupold and a rem 700 7 mag at 350 yds the same way.

    Why does your buddy always jump on you and rough you up like an excited pre-teen? That seems like that could get old and annoying.

  • @jetutter3739
    @jetutter3739 Před 6 lety +2

    Impossible at 300 yards really? What’s impossible is the fact you missed how big the deer was at 300 yards 🙄

    I've watched at least 20 of the Long Range Pursuit videos and I highly doubt that Aaron or Mike Davidson would have made such unethical shots on animals. This shows very little respect for the animals as hunters and conservationists, something most hunters (including myself) pride themselves on. The other comments say it perfectly- but a 300 yard "impossible shot" on a 5-6 inch wide neck and very little wind? A decent shooter behind a 1 MOA gun could've done that, without spending $6-7k on your rifle/rangefinder package. Videos of Mike and Aaron motivate me to buy Gunwerks guns, this one makes me denounce the company and people.

    • @mikecash6672
      @mikecash6672 Před 6 lety

      Have you ever shot an animal in the neck? It's lights out! Probably the most ethical shot besides a head shot...if you can do it!
