I didn’t expect things to move so quickly with the fairmont. Let’s go!
I'm not fucking around on this thing
@@YDBT4LIFE Ain't no way Unc letting Turvi start that POS first
It’s the bet with turvi that’s really pushing Alex.
@@YDBT4LIFEgood you’ve been fucked around by enough people time to show them what someone can do in a 1 bed 1 bath apartment with a garage lol
Alex, I haven’t been on your channel in a bit. Focusing on my Business. It’s great to come back and look at all your videos and see how far you came with this car! Keep up the hard work! Impressive. The last time I heard about it was when you sent it away. You’re making everything happen.
Looking forward to see the time gains with those headers installed in the 13!
Have a 2013 Mustang GT with a JLT catch can. Drilling that out right now thank you!!!
@@Hoodie-xj2ivmeant to say mani😅 Is removing the check valve necessary for n/a application. Currently have a UPR catch can but didn’t know the check valve was an issue.
Those Belaks kinda sorta match the Bogart design too so they wont look like a mismatched set on the fairlane. Turvi needs to hurry up lol
Alex never misses 😤
for those who are cheap, by an oem driver sider valve cover fitting as its the same inner diameter as upr, if you want to be really cheap just use a breather and understand you will have oil splatter.
I swear we just talked about this on my setup, great info for everyone out there!
Alex, good demonstration of a proper deadlift or proper bending of the knees while lifting, saving the back. Had a catch can on my 13 since 14.
thank you for the advice about the oil catch can , never knew needed to change it on passenger side ,, keep up the great advice and videos
Make sure the catch can is vented and cap off the fittings on the intake manifold guys! A closed stock style setup will pull oil in the side of the intake manifold.
I left mine connected to the inlet and it blew smoke out the tailpipe big time, going to take your advice 👍
I have just drilled out the pcv on my 2.9 gen3 whipple , wow what a restriction, a 6mm washer inside the valve to now 12 mm through hole , thanks Alex great tip 👍
Great info for catch can setups. 🫡
Definitely good info. As fas as that PVC valve as a tech tip. I also liked the progress on the Fairmont build. I wanted a carbureted blow through setup. The community wasn't for it, and I got very little advice. The same went for low compression.
In a future video, go through the process of timing a motor with lockouts.l? It looks like you are already set. With the front cover on already.
I know it's not really an option where you live now but I just bought a lift and talk about a game changer! I was torn between a lift and quick jacks, I'm glad I went with the lift!
Lets all agree we should respect and admire Alex to be lifting a th400 with ease.
I put catch cans on both sides of my TVS boosted 630 wheel Gen1. Plug and play, not vented to air. Did not remove PCV valve. After 1,000 miles the driver's side is bone dry, the passenger side had maybe an ounce of oil. Not sure if that should cause a concern.
Alex, do you have any thoughts on Corbin Johnson tuning at Fathouse? I am looking at their 800R package, and will most likely switch to Lund after the build.
I got my 3-1-1 Coyote in my 05 Mustang yesterday, still need to get the torque converter studs lined up with the flywheel. Gotta love car projects. I also have to get my 88 Firebird running too.
Luckily my ring gap is already on the upper end of the spectrum (based off the Aluminator spec sheet) so I should be gtg for boost. Might pop out the check valve on the PCV at some point too.
I have a 3-1-1 and it's a gunshot to the head of trepidation! 😂
Sorry I'm a little slow, so n/a I have a catch can. I can remove the check value and it will help? If I go boosted add a vented catch can? Thanks!
i just had a JLT catch can and a tiny air filter on the driver side and plugged the intake inlet, is that better for the car than running the driver side into the air intake like factory? im just bolt on and 93
Picked up the Trans like nothing 💪
How big of a plug did u have to use for the pmas pvc and intake manifold?
I wonder if you could buy a factory driver side pcv and put it on the passenger side??
Alex, what kid did you D-Bo for that bike 🤣
Catch can is baffled right? It’s a straight across which I thought was sasso
Fairmont is coming along alex! Im sure it feels good to be making good progress!
Any good deals at the yard sale in the background?? Haha
Where you go on Thursday tio 😢😢
Pay attention to the posts. I posted I wasn't doing a show
Great job alex
Keep it coming
Jr came through with the sauce for the 1700 horsepower TRC work truck Lund FYW I think the Fairmont is going to be really nasty
🎯
What's the thickness on the mid plate? Converter spacing may be a little off assuming the converter wasn't built for a mid plate, i (think) Coan might sell a longer hub adapter to make up for the added space of the mid plate. Perhaps you have already considered this, just an easy little thing to overlook sometimes.
Already accounted for
What did you use to block off the intake manifold connection?
Plugs.
Hey, how can I contact you to do a tune for me?
Take a screwdriver and knock that check valve out in 2 seconds, because those fittings that convert the valve cover to an suck ass and break your valve cover a better option is to get a 1/2npt to -10 and screw it into the factory covers
Hey Alex what's your game plain on painting the Fairmont? I know a few local that do killer work and also do cheaper race car paint jobs.
No plans. I'd love to paint it exactly how it currently looks but there's no priority on that. I love how it looks.
@YDBT4LIFE oh without a doubt I would keep it the original color. I hate when people paint old cars modern colors. That car will be so awesome in that two tone.
Fuck yeah. Love seeing you get shit done. Wish I was closer bro. I’d help you just cause I wanna see you reach your goals and shut these cry baby’s up
