With a convertor he probably would beat a 10r80 car if its stock. A 12.3 he ran today would definitely make it a close race but a healthy 10r80 car is going to be 2 to 3/10ths faster.
@@justa3v619 in a roll a bolt on gen 1 will beat a 10R, its not hard ive beat 2 and one i had my wife in the car and my oilfield equipment (60 lbs) and a full tank of gas
@@justa3v619 100% 10râs are 12.0âs stock on a prepped track, this is entirely capable without the converter if the 10r is stock.

Had the same exact result after installing 1 7/8" long tubes and cat-less mid pipe on my GEN1 with ZERO other changes or modifications to the tune. Big value per horsepower. They are a bitch to install, but worth it. Way to go Alex!

Also goes to show how much of an improvement a gen 2 is over a gen 1 like Alex always talks about. My gen 2 6r80 went 12.24@116 with just a lund 91 tune and pmas. Even still on the stock crap pirelli's, and super hot humid day.

Very nice pick me up Alex! I bought catted Ultimate Headers for my 2019 Bullitt after seeing the video, where you imstalled them on your 2019 GT. Unfortunately, the cats blew out during a nitrous pass at the drag strip. That being said, the headers themselves have treated me very well, but the cats seem to be delicate. I recently ran across another person, who experienced an Ultimate Headers cat failure. See videos of the carnage on my YT page.

Keep the stock mufflers, that car sounds great.
Those Gen 1's like drag racing. My 2012 ran 12.1 @ 117 at Mokan with nothing more than a tune/tire & 4:10's using pump 91 octane. (Stock Ford Air box, stock intake, stock exhaust, full weight premium car, stock pump gas). People sleep on the Gen 1 but it doesn't take much to wake them up.

Would long tube and "free flow" require a tune on a stock set up I know it's recommended but is it required?

Awesome video Alex! I have one question Iâm sure with the Lund tune currently loaded on Donny has VCT changes and I know you donât need to adjust the tune when you install headers but would there be any gain with adjusting VCT once headers are installed?

Ordered a tune from Joe Goodnough today, going to throw my 18 manifold and 52lb injectors on my 2012 GT, can't wait to see the difference. Since I have a base model, I'm thinking its going to be quick.

Put a nice catback. I have the RTRs made by Magnaflow but whatever you do, do not remove the resonators which is why most coyotes on the road sound like crap

I'm guessing 11.2- 11.4 at the same trap with a converter / tuning. You maybe should get a bigger better tire before testing that, especially on the street.

I installed the GT500 mufflers on my 2014 GT in back in February, $530 from Summit. A couple of weeks ago the price went up to $715. I managed to get a pair for my 2012 GT for $567 from Steeda a few days before they raised their price as well. I love these mufflers, but that is a crazy price increase in such a short amount of time.
Would you recommend 1 7/8 ultimate headers over 2 inch kooks for 2020 GT500 ?

Because i saw many guy they make around 850+whp with FBO and cat delete , since the stock headers tube 1 7/8 and hold all thia power then i think the 2 inch it doesn't require for this level of power .
Guys run 2 inch they lose around 1-2 psi , and the gain the power in top end of rpm ,

Yea youâd have to be a bad mfâer if you could make a draggy hit with stock manifolds then install longtubes the same day within an hour or so and make a comparison run. Iâve never put headers on a gen1 but Iâve put them on 3v mustangs in the past and done 3 different s550 longtube installs. Just did my buddys 15 gt last week and that was the quickest Iâve ever done them. Took me (with him helping) 10 hours. Idk if the gen1âs are more like the s197 3v but if they are thatâs even harder in my opinion than the s550 cars. Granted I only have a residential garage ramps and jackstands. No lift here đ. If I had a lift I could probably do one in 6-8hrs

My car made close to 800hp at the wheels. The exhaust consists of Stainless Works long tubes, no cats, stock resonator and stock catback. The power gains are in the headers and cats. The rest is just noise. I had that MBRP crap and it blew the pictures off my garage wall, horrible. I now have a quiet 800hp car. Just do headers and cats, itâs all you need. Donât be that guy with the obnoxious loud ass exhaust.
Heck, my bone stock mint 13' 5.0 4x4 F150 STX single-cab with 111,000 miles feels quicker than my 91' AOD bolt-on (ported stock intake, exhaust, etc) 5.0 mustang gt convertible, and the mustang has a transgo HP shift kit and 3.73 gears.
My Homies 2019 Camaro ran 11.8/11.9 with a pro charger and headers. The other Homies car is copying your car at the moment. Iâm trying to push him into getting strange, single adjustables all the way around
