I always figured they originally made Dawn of War for blood angels but had to change it when they wanted to take the story in a direction GW didnt approve of. It was easier changing the shoulderpad on all the blood angel skins then redoing all of them. So changing it back into a blood angel would be fitting.

Studio Oxmox are a german couple who live on the Gold Coast is Australia. I sold them video games for years at pac fair circa 2005. They are absolutely lovely. Marc who does all the statues is beyond talented. Amazing to watch this video and be reminded of them. It's somehow a small small world.

the thing about 40k that i love is that it appeals both to the model makers and role players of the world, hobbyists alike. the fact that you can either build them yourself, paint them your own way and add your own touches giving you your own unique unit, or simple buy them off the shelves and enjoy the game without the side hassle of assembling. Im in crawley a lot and everytime i pass the warhammer shop past the parking lot i always feel an urge to give it a look or pick up a kit just to build it and display it like all the tanks, jets and helicopters i have on my shelves...a great community and great hobby to have for sure

@@rakino4418 Those smug bastards get enough love as it is. In fact, I've long suspected GW is just a front for a paint company that got hold of an enormous job lot of blue pigment, and built an entire empire around shifting it.
Honestly, I love the Blood Ravens. I was a big fan of the first two Dawn of War games, and for a games store, it's actually a good idea to keep it as it is and just touch it up. Video gamers are more likely to recognise it and pay attention.

I just want to say a huge congratulations to the community. There were 8+ minutes of reading names of new patreons. All people who signed up just to help support a new family. Any time you think the world is going to crap look back at this as a reminder there are good people around still.
The minis/crafting enclave is definitely one of the nicer YT comment burrows. It's great to lurk in a patch where people don't yell 'Cuck' and 'Re-tard' at one another all the livelong day.

Stopped watching 40k videos 10 months ago, fast forward in time turns out one of my favourite 40k painters tripled in subscriber count, just had twins, and just bought a huge 40k figure...

Touch up for sure, but don't repaint it. Blood Ravens are a great chapter, Relic went to impressive lengths to give the chapter comprehensive background. They epitomise the concept of "warrior-scholars", their psykers are among the most powerful in the Imperium. They're also many people's entry point to the 40k universe.
My local table top/comics shop has a life sized space marine costume standing next to the ‘minis’ sign, always fun to walk in and see a sign saying minis pointing at a giant space marine.

Funny thing is, I am a Air force BRAT and we were stationed in England a few years ago. My dad used to play OrKs and he played some tournaments and eventually sold his OrKs when Warhammer got to expensive to keep playing at 4TK, this was of course before guy came along with his huge space marine.
