Think if while drunk having a wild party they capture some pictures of lights in the sky.. wouldn't that make it all worthwhile? Besides; they are also testing bagels for you .. and there was even a program stuffed in the last stimulus bill allocating more money to study lizards running on treadmills.. you just never know what sort of innovations that could lead too.

I mean he voted to increase deficit spending in increasing military budget under trump and tax cuts increase in deficit spending to about 3 trillion currently. He isn't a deficit hawk all the time only when it's anybody with D next to their name.
Additionally while he points to issues with history of spending provisions with earmarks it doesn't define how they will be used moving forward. To draw a parallel it would be the same as saying every republican president will continue to increase deficit spending because historically that is what they have done in the past while democrats actually reduce deficit spending (adding caveat: Obama Wallstreet bailout added debt but not annual deficit spending, and I was against the bailout too) that said I don't think thats a true or fair statement either. My issue I guess is that he wants her to prove a negative, and that's not possible.

@@thenewguythedruid First off, Obama added to the debt WAY BEYOND the Wall Street bailout and he never did get the economy really going well with all his spending. Also, looking over the last 40 or so years, the truth is that Dem pres did the spending, people got pissed (also at Dems wild-assed social crap), voted in a Rep pres and the "chickens came home to roost" as the Rep was coming into office. The first 3 to 6 months of a new pres is the old pres' "baby". As to Trump, the truth is our super hot economy that he and Reps in Congress were instrumental in doing, started to pay back the debt and was putting tons of money into the treasury in taxes. Then we quarantined WELL PEOPLE which hasn't been done in the history of humankind (it was on purpose cuz "Orange Man Bad") over a virus that kills 99.6% of people whom are over 55-60 or has a gun shot wound, has late-stage cancer, has a rare untreatable disease, has major heart disease, etc. As for military spending, the CCP literally wants to take over our country. Personally, I don't believe in "better red than dead", as is CCP "red" (on a side note, there's proof that the "colors" that were originally put out by newscasters were red for Dems and blue for Reps, which makes more sense, but they quickly switched it).

E.G, in my opinion, the problem for the most part, is that the American voters do not
educate themselves on what their representatives are doing or not doing. Most people
don’t even vote. So when someone makes enough noise, they elect someone like Trump.
and we get a want-to-be dictator wanting to destroy our democracy in whose defense so
many have died. Our reps don’t work a full day, take frequent breaks, make sure their donors
are happy and forget about the rest of the constituents they are supposed to represent.
Their biggest concern is to be re-elected because they make good money, paid benefits,
retirement benefits, short work year, paid trips, free invitations, etc. they are VIPs where ever
      they go.
We need to make it our job to be smart consumers of information, educate ourselves on which
representative is doing their job and who is not. And vote out the ones that are crooks and
lazy. Make them accountable to their constituents. Limit their terms so they look for another job
when they are done representing their constituents and don’t make it a political career that only
involves constantly running for office. Hold their feet to the fire. Don’t allow them to get away
with sexual abuse, cheating, breaking the law, using their power to get away with things most of
us would be jailed for. Make them tell the truth and call them out when they lie. Hold them
accountable. Going to CPAC, for example, is not an excuse for not going to vote on a very
important issue for which they are paid to vote . If we went on vacation instead of showing up at work,
most of us would be fired. They should too. Hold them accountable and educated ourselves
on the issues so the wool isn’t always pulled over most of the public’s eyes.

Why would the GOO pout this in there?
Rand Paul is talking about pocket change! A windfall for real estate investors allowing them “to use losses generated by real estate to minimize their taxes on profits from things like investments in the stock market. The estimated cost of the change over 10 years is $170 billion, $17 billion in loans for “businesses critical to maintaining national security,” a provision seemingly targeted solely at Boeing.
$25 billion in grants and $25 billion in loans for the airline industry.
A series of regulatory changes sought by the banking industry.
A tweak to the tax code, retroactive to 2018, allowing certain retailers to more quickly write off expenses they incurred upgrading their properties.
A series of other tax changes that in many cases take concessions business made in exchange for lower tax rates in Trump’s 2017 tax cut and eliminate them for a period of years. As one budget expert said to me, “corporations and pass-through owners are having their cake from [the 2017 tax cut] and eating it too.”
A gift to for-profit colleges: They’ll be able to keep loan money for students who drop out due to the coronavirus.
Help for manufacturers of “innovative” sunscreen technology.
A six-month extension of funding for abstinence-only education.
An expansion of the services that health savings accounts, which mostly benefit wealthier people, can pay for.
A provision allowing many hotel chains to access the $350 billion in loans intended for small businesses if their individual hotels employ fewer than 500 workers each. Unlike the loans in the fund intended for large businesses, many of these loans will not have to be repaid if the money is used mostly to keep workers on the payroll. This could allow large firms with the ability to successfully navigate the program to scoop up a significant portion of this fund, potentially pushing aside actual small businesses.
