I just did a Google search and confirmed this judge was not nominated. 10 Democrats voted in favor of her , 1 Democrat joined Republicans in rejecting her. Remember this, especially women, when it's time to vote .

You only get that say when you by chance vote against a representative that ends up voting for these people, and usually representatives don't end up representing their constituents. We don't live in a democratic society, we live in a society of social shards today.

The authority of the state and the national government is contested, and states defend themselves through their representation in the Senate. Senators represent the state's interests, not the people's. They were originally elected by state legislatures. Confirmations should go through the house, but it's debatable if they even represent their constituents anymore. Their interest seems to be in whomever makes the most political contributions.

Can't always blame the Democrats. Especially since none of the so called republican senators, are trying to have her removed from her current judgeship (which they can, and should do).
Because she's a district judge. They're appointed for life. It's kind of like tenure for a professor. She can do what she wants and she won't go anywhere. This is a why elections matter. The presidents come and go, but the people they appoint will steer the direction of the country for decades.

Ted Cruz claims he believes in women's rights but he was the front-runner in taking away women's right to choose. My daughter-in-law died because of that new law. The baby died too. My son is left grieving with no wife and no baby girl. Because the doctor was afraid of losing their license the doctor was crying with his head and his hands and said there's nothing I can do. Now two beautiful lives are gone because of a stupid law that takes away a woman's right to choose
