Hey Manav, I have seen all 8 episodes in a one go and I felt as if I have been in those trails. Thanks for documenting all the details and really this video series made my day!!!
Thank you Vijay 🙏
I was looking for a vlog that will give all information for solo trekking of 3 passes with EBC unsuccessfully untill I found yours. Not only you presented a detailed visuals of the trail but also touched every important aspects like costs, acclimatization, distances and altitudes coved in every go. This the most prolific and specific vlog of 3 passes with EBC that I've ever seen. This will help me a lot as I am planning to do the same very soon. Thank you and best wishes for the future.
Glad it was helpful!
Wow, you make it in a day!!! Thank for the tip crossing from east to west, it's very useful information for me.
Glad you found the info useful. All the best for your hiking trip.
Thank you for sharing this video with us! You’re really in perfect fit. Views are magnificent
Thanks
I have been resisting to comment on previous videos of this series, to sum up my thoughts at the end.
You have done a magnificent job. I greatly appreciate your style of vlogging. It relaxing, sober and most importantly, packed with only relevant information. Seeing various mountains through the videos, I got curious about the whole range and downloaded an Atlas of Himalayas to learn more.
The views were, again, calm and gigantic. Your pov captured the essence of mountains - calm and never ending views. They just kept on going, one after other, making one humble about their existence. Hanging bridges and Gokyo lakes have left a lasting impression of this landscape.
More power to you and looking forward to join you in future and race you :P
Thank you very much Aviral. I feel blessed to be able to walk through those landscapes. I genuinely wish that you would also plan and execute such treks in the coming year. And yes, I will always be ready for a trail run. Haha
Stunning Manav! Extraordinary landscape but it is an Extraordinary day of trekking as well - to cover Gokyo to Lukla over Renjo LA in 1 day!!🙂. I know you are very fit, super acclimatized and carrying very light but still that is a fantastic hike!. (I think even the sherpas would be envious😀).
(Although, I wish you had taken a day off somewhere to just sitting around and relax and soak in the landscape😀)
Hi Sankar, I do agree with you but I love running on a trail and I feel that way I absorb the trail more.
I might slow down and soak the views when I hike the trail again in future.
My man, been watching your videos from the time I was introduced to your channel by Petr (to whom I gave a ride from Naggar to Manali last October) This has been the best video of the series, guess you saved the best for the last. Will try to join you for the April course. Cheers.
Thank you very much Balaji Narayanan. I am glad that you loved the EBC series. I definitely wish to see you in April 2023. Are you still in Naggar?
@@Creedaz Chennai... will hit u up soon... i like the way u simplify things
It would be great if you make a short video at the end of the series to summarise the routes, budget and planning. It would serve as an informative guide for people planning to do these treks in future.

Thank you Manav for the excellent videos of this superb trek. I really admire your enormous effort you gave for making this particular video despite the high altitude. You just made me fall in love for this route. Now I've determined to go on this same trail sometime in this lifetime, whenever I'm ready. Really waiting for your summarized video about this trail. 😀

Thank you Akash for all your love and support
I have only stumbled upon yr awesome vid & will definitely check out the others but may I ask what were the exact dates of yr trek..???
11th to 19th October, 2022
Hi Manav! I wanna start trekking solo in the lower Himalayas but feel confused about travel. Since you have to travel via vehicle to starting point and from end point for most Himalayan treks, how can one arrange travel when trekking solo
You can reach the starting point of many treks using State Transport buses. You can do treks like Bhrigu Lake, Beas Kund, Patalsu peak, Mt. Yunam, Great lakes of Lahaul and so many other treks by using public transport.
As usual super video series. It's such pleasure to watch your videos. They are very informative and going to be very helpful in planning EBC trek. I have planned my EBC trek from mid of Dec and would like to seek some info.
1. Do u have any idea about the passes will be by end of Dec.
2. Are the tea houses open at higher altitude in December
3. Had you booked the Lukla-KTM flight in advance or you booked in after reaching there, of so how much did it cost and was there any challenges in booking Lukla-KTM flight on end moment?
4. Had you booked the taxi to Kharikola from Kathmandu only or you changed it Salleri/phaplu?, If so then are taxies readily available from Salleri/phaplu to Kharikola?
5. Do we need any permit while entering from Salleri side, i heard Gaurishankar Conservation Area permit is required while trekking from Salleri.
6. Any weather forecasting site you would recommend for keeping watch on weather forecast for EBC region.
Mid-December is NOT a great time to do EBC. The passes will be relatively difficult to cross in December due to snow cover.
Regarding the tea houses, you can call and ask a few people who run teahouses on the trail. You can find contact details in the videos.
I did not book the Lukla - KTM flight in advance. We just stood in a line early in the morning and got the tickets.
Gaurishankar National park permit if required when you start from Jari. No permit is required from Salleri. There will be few locals who will tell you that after COVID the new guidelines are that you need to hire a guide but just ignore those guys. They are just misleading everyone. EBC and Three Passes can be done as an independent hike.
Just google the weather. That's all
advice needed pleeease! which model action cam did you use/ would you recommend most for this, and how do you secure your camera to your body when hiking????
Phone - Samsung S23 Ultra
Action Camera - GoPro Hero 10 Black
I hold it in my hand using a small stick. I don't mount it.
Did you find that the gopro EVER shut down, froze, glitched, or (!!!)overheated in the cold weather? How long could you record for before battery had to be swapped out? @@Creedaz
Thank you, for this nice video. You are really, really fast :), ALL MY RESPECT !. If you have to choose what to fit in 13 days, for normal hiker/ I can do +1400 with 25 km but on altitude 2000-3000 м/ What you would choose among the places of Three passes track, 12 night in the mountains between Lukla-Lukla, they can become 13- max. Thank you
You're welcome
Fantastic video! So Beautiful! What is your camera set up? This does not appear to be a GoPro. ???
Thanks Ron.
I use a GoPro Hero 10 Black. All the clips are shot using GoPro in 5.3k at 30 FPS.
I used the Samsung Galaxy S22 for the telephoto shots of peaks in the region.
@@Creedaz I need to upgrade my GoPro 9. Keep the videos coming! Thank you 🙏
Hello Manav just finished the whole ebc series and loved it.
And can u plz suggest me a watch for such trekking as I m planning to buy watch or u can make a whole video about the watch having gps like function …🙏🏻🙏🏻
There are many. It also depends on budget. I use Suunto 9 peak. It is a good watch
Amazing video. Can you also share your expenses and overall budget for EBS + 3 passes. And some tips to save money will be very helpful. Thank you.

As usual 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 to manav
Thank you Rajesh ji
Are we still allowed to.hike without guides there?
Yes
Also please suggest good microspikes for snow walk..
Any basic microspike will be good enough
Unable to find good microspike execpt Decathlon. Can you please suggest the company name or share the link? Thanks in advance..
Hii Manav.. How u charge ur devices during the trek.. How much it costs for charging devices? How u arrange transport to travel to kharikhola from kathmandu?
Transport from KTM to Kharikhola can be arranged from Chabail Chowk. It is some 5-6 km from Thamel. You can go to the jeep counter and book a seat for yourself.
The charging cost is not much. It is around 1000 NPR max for charging 20000 mAh power bank from 0 - 100%
But you can charge your phone for free until Dingboche.

❤️❤️
