The reason the trophy for conquering Persia as Scythia is called “I Quenched Your Thirst For Blood” is in reference to Tomyris’ words upon killing Cyrus. She dipped his head in a pool of blood, telling him to “drink his fill”

The logical reason for rejecting this case is Pasargad (Cyrus' Mausoleum), because if according to Herodotus, the Achaemenid army was disintegrated and Cyrus' body was torn to pieces by the Scythians, there will be nothing left for burial in Pasargad!!! IMO Xenophon's narrative (natural death of Cyrus) is more logical.

Cyrus was a king who married only once and loved his wife very much. Cassandane, the wife of Cyrus the Great, was the same level as the king and ruler of the Persian Empire. Cyrus the Great consulted him in all the affairs of the empire, and Cassandane was one of the seven great families of the Persian Empire, and let's not forget that a child born to a non-Persian wife cannot succeed the king. The story of Cyrus falling in love with the Scythian Queen is just a dramatic story of herodotus about the death of Cyrus.

Tomyris isn’t even real. First off, her lineage isn’t even known, other than her parents and son. We don’t even know her husbands name, nor who her successor was, or even an accurate year she died. All we know is that Herodotus HEARD from someone else that this was how Cyrus died. And even he stated it’s not proven. The same Herodotus who said there are giant ants in the Himalayas that dig burrows looking for gold (talking about the marmot). And speaking of Cyrus’s death, it’s said that he died in battle, which was south massagetae. And that tomyris kept the body. But the Persians laid Cyrus’s body to rest at Cyrus’s tomb. Even if tomyris only kept the head and not the body, the Persians would’ve needed to cross the border, find the decapitated body of Cyrus, and do so without the massagetae soldiers coming after them, just to bury their king. And if Persian kings show any indication of vengeance (xerxes avenging Darius in Athens), then how did Cambyses, Cyrus’s son, not get his revenge on the massagetae? He ruled and conquered Egypt and ignored the massagetaes as if they didn’t just kill his dad. Which is another plot hole..
And second, Cyrus’s goal was to conquer all 4 great empires at the time: Medea, Lydia, Babylon, and Egypt. And Cyrus was on his way to conquer the last empire of Egypt. Why would Cyrus travel in the opposite direction, northeast, passed the jaxartes River, that is today Kazakhstan, to fight a nomadic tribe? The massagetae were nomadic, which means they did not have a stagnate empire. So they didn’t even have land to offer Cyrus either. And to top it off, bronze was very rare. All 4 great empires in the Middle East used mostly leather. Greece was the only known empire/warring state that used bronze. And they weren’t nomads. So how could a nomadic tribe be in possession of bronze??
There is no tangible proof that tomyris or even the massagetae existed. Other than the not so confident word of Herodotus, who came way after Cyrus died!!
