I own a few of the first generation of these. They are decent for what they are and probably the best in that price range. My biggest issue was durability because they broke were the light threads into the body. The Gen 2's look thicker so I'm guessing that was improved. I do like that the IR/white toggle switch seems to have a more positive "click".
I have had one on my duty rifle for quite some time. I've shot in some pretty crappy elements with it and I have used it inside houses and outside and have had 0 issues. I will say though if I was going into a military type situation as being former military I would use a modlite or surefire over this all day
your thoughts on how many lumens the light produces are USELESS because you compare it to NOTHING. What you "think" means nothing without further info and makes you sound like a "know it all". Nope, not having it.

Yes it seems better in the threading.
@@Signature-IR As far as the lumens thing, it could be the typical lumens versus candela issue that seems to be prevalent in lights.
@shakesfist very true lots of variables. But compared to others I had on hand it was not as bright.

I feell ya man, I love my modlight.
These are great on the Thyrm VariArc on my helmets. I don’t abuse mine though so your mileage may vary.
Seems like it would be best indoors.
I’ve broke at least 2 of these just by putting these against a barracked
Durability is definitely a question
It’s not designed to slam against barricades. It’s a polymer bodied light.
Brightness is candlepower not lumens, lumens is the area the light cover, like a laser high candlepower low lumens
unboxing... bye bye
