Travis shares with us the new features of the completely redesigned WML by Inforce. For more information on products or training visit www.haleystrategic.com
Never had problems with those lights but had consistent problems with the pistol lights, changing batteries, the bezel would strip the threads or not make good contact and lights would flicker. Sold all pistol lights and kept only one of the wml lights. I now only run Sure-fire or Streamlight lights on all my guns.
I am currently running a wml on a cantilever rail that extends forward of the holes on a m-lok system. The wml is at 9 o'clock, and should be at 11 o'clock. Ideally, that rail would also be offset, to put the light in the perfect position. Running a MOE sl, makes good weight, and is a good fit. I have the 200L light, and will probably upgrade, budget permitting. I have checked the page at Haley Strategic, and I don't see any m-lok stuff. SO, I will keep my eyes peeled. Kudos to them for simplifying the system. Truth is that most of us will never need strobe or differing light beams, and will not be shooting out to great distances. A solid mount that's properly oriented, and gives you a consistent beam, is pretty much ideal in a high stress scenario. Playing with a multitude of switches under stress? Not a good idea.
Always good to see improvements made no matter how small. Will these Gen 2 lights now come packaged with newly produced Jack Carbines from here on out? Or will those still be packaged with the Gen 1s?
Sir, great video and the product looks very practical. I do have a question. If mounted at the 12 o'clock position, will it obscure my view through my magpul iron sights or my aim point. Thanks. Ed, "AATW"
This seems like the perfect home defense AR light solution for a guy (me) with an unfired M-4 from three years ago looking to add a light to the old LE6920, 6.5" Magpul hand guard. I was looking for over the top pressure pad with offset to right 3 o'clock position but don't know where to find it or whether that concept fits the "old" hand guard I have. I know there's a newer slightly longer hand guard by Magpul that goes about an inch or so further out that i could get. I'm just not looking for rail concept. Any advice (just friendly advice, as I feel anxiety if someone calls me mean names or insults my lack of knowledge into ARs!)? Thx.
Forget what I just posted. I didn't realize that this is a special version that you can only get from HaleyStrategic. Doesn't look like they still making the WMLx with 400/800 dual lumen output as I don't see it on their web site?
@HaleyStrategic how do you deal with ambidextrous use. If you shoulder transfer you don't have access to light like you would a pressure switch mounted on top of rail. I have the SAINT VICTOR ar which has no rail up top so I am about to buy this light but just had that question. Thanks
Had one, It broke from light use just sitting on my gun and going to the range. No run and guns, no drops nothing hard. I wish I had a better experience. Have 4 streamlights that I have had for 3 times the time that havent broken. Waiting to get it back from Emissive. Hopefully I will have something better to report.
Just wanted to drop in and say that my 1st gen WMLX light on my SCAR has survived over 2000 rounds, multiple weeks of training, 18 months in the back of my patrol car, all without a single problem.
I usually run surefire x300s and xc1s, I have no experience with inforce lights but I trust your opinion, are there any advantages to this light over those aside from price ? Great vid by the way
Their gen ones sucked balls, loads of people breaking them without any effort. Their gen twos claim that they made it with better polymer but no one has done a torturer test review on it yet.... hint, hint. :D
I have an older wml on my Daniel defense and it has been through a ton of stuff. I love it so much I sprung for the new wmlx on the rifle I just finished. why didn't you cover how it also has a strobe feature?
Anyone had their gen2 start to flicker randomly when on? I turned mine on to see and it randomly flickered. I unscrewed the cap and screwed it back down. Seemed to fix it for now. Hope it does not keep having problems
Travis! your awsome so carry on. Now to Inforce, Bro it's 2017, why not make a metal housed weapon light? don't worry bout the price, just give US the customer the option to choose. Thanks
The same exact thing was said about the first Inforce WML. "Its Reliable, Durable, yada yada yada", then turned out to be one of the worst lights ever. Almost every person who owns one has had it break on them somehow. So now you do a Gen 2, and STILL do polymer?!?!? No.... no. no. no. no. NO. It's not a frame, it's not a grip. It's a light on the end of a rifle that is GOING to take abuse. Until I see actual tests on the 2.0's, I'm suggesting everyone stay with Surefire or Streamlight. Hope the Gen 2 actually can stay together, cause the concept is great.
Id like to see a durability/drop test. I really like the design but ive heard almost eculsively from reviews the light just doesent hold up well and breaks from drops or even just normal use. As much as I trust Travis haley i cant ignore hundreds of consistent bad reviews.
Travis you've been gone from making videos for only a month but it feels like longer. We know you're in the process of moving but 556% of the Tacticool community wants a range day video with you and Garand Thumb. Can you please us and make it so? We are begging you.
mozzberg good question because I just ordered a gym to and I have the gym one and have many holsters for the gym one I'm hoping that I don't have to buy a bunch of new holsters
Travis Haley yeah I usually use my Surefire x300u a but I have enjoyed the inforce APL it's easily concealable and I've never had an issue out of it even after being dropped multiple times but I hate to have to buy another holster I have at least 10 holsters all kydex
I wish they made these with either 14500 cells (they are rechargeable) or 18650 cells (again rechargeable). Those stupid 123 lithiums are ridiculously expensive.
That's what i'm saying. Prove to me they fixed the problem. Travis's name holds a lot of weight and if they haven't fixed the problem, he'd be a fool to promote them. Let's see that test.
"Combat Tested" until it falls over and takes direct impact with anything harder than itself. These lights break more on day to day clumsiness rather than being worn down in the field. Sad, i'm still in love with them. But after cracking two of these bad boys, i gave up and moved on. I've dropped and tossed my rifle around like a rental with a HLX/RM2 mounted and yeah, it'll be hard to go back to a WML at this point.
TheGearTester it was, I had two crack at the bezel. However they both broke after the new generation was released and they mailed me brand new ones and they've been very solid!
c edwards You must not use your equipment hard then because it is pretty common knowledge that the generation 1 wml lights are susceptible to cracking. The Generation 2 wml's are made 10x better!
when it comes to combat application wouldn't constant on be more effective in CQB i personally don't care for momentary only I'm just trying to understand the logic behind it
These lights are all junk and despite the positive reviews I've read regarding their warranty I have yet to receive a response from the company following multiple calls and emails. Neither do I care at this point as it's going in the trash. I wouldn't even use these for airsoft.
"oh no I paid a 100 dollars for a light to slap on my 1000 dollar rifle and I broke it so I'm sad" If you guys knew how to use your shit it probably wouldn't break constantly. That's what everyone is thinking I'm just saying it.. Also how is "dropping it on the ground" the best test? I've never purchased a light that I thought should be tested by busting it on the ground. Haley send me that light and I'll test it by doing this crazy thing called using it properly.
cool, but you need to make a USB rechargable one. there is a huge movement to get away from single use batteries and towards a solar rechargable USB battery device.
Steve L Don't laugh but Ebay. Seriously, I bought 2 (a wml & a wmlx, both gen 2's) from Ebay from legit sellers. $110 for the wml and $139 for the wml-x.....There is some knock-offs on there but you can tell the difference because they ship from China and they are 50$.
Just bought the Haley Strategic WML-x from ebay. Was only $155 and with today's 20% off spring coupon, it was actually cheaper then the WML-X and CloudDefensive mount that I ordered and then cancelled. I don't like that the HL-X is made in china but was willing to overlook it until I read someone post about how they bought around 20 of them and saw all kinds of problems. Maybe it was a limited problem somehow but it irked me enough to try the Inforce. It was hard to track this light down and it has been out of stock on the HSP site. I hope its g2g. Haven't heard much of anything on it though so I hope its still in full production.
Absolute piece of crap. Haley proudly puts their name on it., but does not stand buy the product. Hayley is the one and that made the modification. But when I informed them that the light flickers when I hold the button down no matter how many times I replace the battery. They simply just told me a contact in force. Unacceptable I am not dealing with this company ever again.
We do not sell this light anymore. Inforce does the warranty on these lights. If it's flickering then the button is malfunctioning and needs to go back to inforce.
Cnc the body out of aluminum, increase the lumen output, make 3 models (km,ml,1913) that do not require an adapter to mount and come in at a more realistic price point. Until then, gtfo and go back to your drawing board.
Travis Haley lol....had to give you shit. Couple days ago I seen the video of you accidentally discharge 1 round from an ak and thought it was funny shit! Just dont do a desk pop! bwahahahahah
excited to add a WMLX to my rifle
thanks for listening to us Travis.
my wml is cracked and I finally have up on the light. I just use surefire scouts. I love HSP mounts though and use them on all my lights.
Never had problems with those lights but had consistent problems with the pistol lights, changing batteries, the bezel would strip the threads or not make good contact and lights would flicker. Sold all pistol lights and kept only one of the wml lights. I now only run Sure-fire or Streamlight lights on all my guns.

I love lamp...

Seems like a good light, think Ima have to give er a try.

I mostly would use Surefire, but these would be perfect for my non night vision builds, like sub guns.
What about a M-LOK direct mount?
Forget what I just posted. I didn't realize that this is a special version that you can only get from HaleyStrategic.
Doesn't look like they still making the WMLx with 400/800 dual lumen output as I don't see it on their web site?
Good job guys!!!
Are you able to use a 18650 rechargeable battery instead of the cr123 batteries?
Good to see a simpler button. Add a remote switch model so I can time it anywhere on my forearm.
Love that wmlx. I might order it.
Have they improved or redesigned the thread insert in the body?
@HaleyStrategic how do you deal with ambidextrous use. If you shoulder transfer you don't have access to light like you would a pressure switch mounted on top of rail. I have the SAINT VICTOR ar which has no rail up top so I am about to buy this light but just had that question. Thanks
Just bought WMLX 400/800 £199.99 & strait out the box it didn’t work really disappointed for that price
Sureeee
Anyone used the wmlx with the blue streamlight rechargeables, or any other rechargeable batteries for that matter?
What happened to bit wanting to was your vision out? I know that was a pint on the previous wml.
oooh rahh another nice product ,Thank you will check out, thanks for the vid..!!!! :-) :-)
Been using the new standard gen2 WML for about a month and ran it in a class I am really liking the gen2 a lot!
still good?
Just wanted to drop in and say that my 1st gen WMLX light on my SCAR has survived over 2000 rounds, multiple weeks of training, 18 months in the back of my patrol car, all without a single problem.
Adam Aultman very interesting
I usually run surefire x300s and xc1s, I have no experience with inforce lights but I trust your opinion, are there any advantages to this light over those aside from price ? Great vid by the way
The WML/x is for rifle/carbine. The ones you usually run are pistol lights.
Their gen ones sucked balls, loads of people breaking them without any effort. Their gen twos claim that they made it with better polymer but no one has done a torturer test review on it yet.... hint, hint. :D
The x300 has been run by many people on a rifle both with and without a tape switch.
cool beans The Gen 2 is legit
I have a wml on its way for my first build
can't wait til surefire makes one this style. I won't shatter upon recoil...
Is the light going to be available is disruptive grey?
I wish they would make a white/IR where the white was momentary only. Or if they were user programmable.
I have an older wml on my Daniel defense and it has been through a ton of stuff. I love it so much I sprung for the new wmlx on the rifle I just finished. why didn't you cover how it also has a strobe feature?
It don't have it since they did away with the stay on mode so now the momentary is jus the light
Anyone had their gen2 start to flicker randomly when on? I turned mine on to see and it randomly flickered. I unscrewed the cap and screwed it back down. Seemed to fix it for now. Hope it does not keep having problems
Great light!
Wish this worked as a IR light as well
Does the New Haley come in both white light and IR??
Anyway to get it open.. I've put the batteries in the wrong way and done busted it...
Travis! your awsome so carry on. Now to Inforce, Bro it's 2017, why not make a metal housed weapon light? don't worry bout the price, just give US the customer the option to choose. Thanks
Can X version be used with 18650 battery?
is this a good option for ambi use?
Scout mount compatibility...... where ya at?
The same exact thing was said about the first Inforce WML. "Its Reliable, Durable, yada yada yada", then turned out to be one of the worst lights ever. Almost every person who owns one has had it break on them somehow. So now you do a Gen 2, and STILL do polymer?!?!? No.... no. no. no. no. NO. It's not a frame, it's not a grip. do you guys have a ir filter that fit these?
Id like to see a durability/drop test. I really like the design but ive heard almost eculsively from reviews the light just doesent hold up well and breaks from drops or even just normal use. As much as I trust Travis haley i cant ignore hundreds of consistent bad reviews.
So when are you doing a vid with your son Garand Thumb?:D
Where is this product in stock for the wmlx
When will you make an MLOK version?
Harry Jangles Magpul makes a fantastic cantilever mount from mlok to 1913 for lights that places it far forward on the moe handguard.
I remember picking one up for $90 on cheaper than dirt
does this come in a Fleshlight version?
Perfect size for you?
A friggin work of art!!
Y'all don't have a trade in program, do you?
Crickets!!!
cmon, i just want a metal one. i dropped my rifle on my wml and it instantly broke. i love the beam i just wish it was stronger built.
was that the gen 1 tho?
yeah it was.
nejinaji well there you go! Get the Gen 2, it is much stronger than the Gen 1!
@cool beans
Hello! Old me lol!
Travis you've been gone from making videos for only a month but it feels like longer. We know you're in the process of moving but 556% of the Tacticool community wants a range day video with you and Garand Thumb. Can you please us and make it so? We are begging you.
Your wish has finally been granted.
Failed me the two times I deployed my long gun on duty. Was really hoping this was a keeper, unfortunately not.
on doody?
3 Months. Where you been man?
1 question :
Do the gen 2 lights work in the same holsters as the gen 1 lights?
mozzberg good question because I just ordered a gym to and I have the gym one and have many holsters for the gym one I'm hoping that I don't have to buy a bunch of new holsters
Travis Haley yeah I usually use my Surefire x300u a but I have enjoyed the inforce APL it's easily concealable and I've never had an issue out of it even after being dropped multiple times but I hate to have to buy another holster I have at least 10 holsters all kydex
What a stud
I'll grab an WMLX from Haley to make sure it's the real deal. Labor Day specials?
I wish they made these with either 14500 cells (they are rechargeable) or 18650 cells (again rechargeable). Those stupid 123 lithiums are ridiculously expensive.
Doesn't look like you can utilize thumb pad with light mounted on right side of handguard.
Anybody else eyeballin that mpx on the right?
I wish they would make one that doesn't get broken from an airsoft BB hitting it.
Cool shit
The WMLX vs the surefire m600 intellibeam. GO
Show me a drop test on a 10 lbs rifle.
ViolentGent This needs to happen.
That's what i'm saying. Prove to me they fixed the problem. Travis's name holds a lot of weight and if they haven't fixed the problem, he'd be a fool to promote them. Let's see that test.

Don't drop your rifle
@bum_fungus420 if you're clumsy they make things called slings that will do the work for you
Streamlight has killed this program AND out performed surefire at a fraction of the cost.
I really don’t like the idea of not having a constant on option
Anthony Malico same this really puts me off,
Would like an M lok option and a constant on
Colin T yeah you might have to get one of those Picatinny adapters.. I just got the regular inforce light, no dragonfly logo lol
Is it water proof?
ArmaRes yes
They need to make these in MLOK... Fuck sakes
Let's take a guess at price?
pikap864 130
Does it break from an Airsoft BB hitting the lens?
This video was produced because the Gen 1 version was total crap.
TheGearTester it was, I had two crack at the bezel. However they both broke after the new generation was released and they mailed me brand new ones and they've been very solid!
yerp
good to know, herd they beeffed up the plastic
All good T-Man but you really had me sold on 200 Lumens with your Gen 1 video -_- any chance of those coming back in but with the new upgraded body?
c edwards You must not use your equipment hard then because it is pretty common knowledge that the generation 1 wml lights are susceptible to cracking. The Generation 2 wml's are made 10x better!
How about you make it out of aluminum or get actually good polymer lots of people have bad luck with them
This is good polymer on the gen 2’s they dont crack
Mr. Haley, could you do a giveaway featuring all your new product releases. thanks
Travis. Keymod or m lok ?
Keymod is junk bud. It's common knowledge at this point.
JUNCTION MEDIA why does he run it?
I can't answer that question. Ask Travis.
This is accurate.
Does BCM have any plans to drop keymod and go to Mlok?
Will they work on pump shotguns?
Tommy Evans my wmlxl lasted a year until I dropped it...now its cracked. still works but....
Lighting bro....lighting
SmackedInATL Tactimood Operatorambiant lighting lol
Sonic Fuzed (1:42)???? More fancy language designed to impress those seeking to live the tactical operator lifestyle.
Just different name for ultrasonic welding...
when it comes to combat application wouldn't constant on be more effective in CQB i personally don't care for momentary only I'm just trying to understand the logic behind it
Travis Haley thanks for the in depth response makes more sense now
These lights are all junk and despite the positive reviews I've read regarding their warranty I have yet to receive a response from the company following multiple calls and emails. Neither do I care at this point as it's going in the trash. I wouldn't even use these for airsoft.
I never see you running your own light....always surefire...
Recce Sam talk to g code
Evan Weeks - I did.. They said to talk to you! Step up and take a leadership position.
Recce Sam seconded
Too expensive for me, I will stick to the Streamlight HL-X for now.
Steve L To exspensive? You can find them for $120-$140
APB 28 Where? They are like 160
Steve L Don't laugh but Ebay. Seriously, I bought 2 (a wml & a wmlx, both gen 2's) from Ebay from legit sellers. $110 for the wml and $139 for the wml-x.....There is some knock-offs on there but you can tell the difference because they ship from China and they are 50$.

Inforce blows
Speak up son!
Kamikaze Gorilla.... If you haven't seen his wall of AR's with a myriad of different toys then I think you're misinformed.
Not sure why he's peddling this junk. Makes me question the other products he's recommending.
Fair enough. I just haven't had much luck with their product. It only took one drop. Not sure how that ever got past R&R.
lots of cases of broken housings with the original. Cheap plastic.
He must have had a fall out with Inforce. No longer a product.
Everything they sell is out of stock 😅
u sound like u are out of breath
Absolute piece of crap. Haley proudly puts their name on it., but does not stand buy the product. Hayley is the one and that made the modification. But when I informed them that the light flickers when I hold the button down no matter how many times I replace the battery. They simply just told me a contact in force. Did you find your Adamantium 40,000 lumen uberlight yet?
You guys should delete this video. This light is garbage and shouldn’t be marketed to people anymore. Tons of issues with the WML’s
no ammo around? dont need a negligent discharge like you did with an AK lol
Travis Haley lol....had to give you shit. Couple days ago I seen the video of you accidentally discharge 1 round from an ak and thought it was funny shit! Just dont do a desk pop! bwahahahahah
When you have a video of you shwacking dudes in Iraq then you can talk.
