      Thanks. They will find the school of big fish for you. Shrimp flies when targeting rock fish so you can more number of fish. Metal jigs or swimbaits when targeting lingcod. They will probably go pretty deep so go with the size of the weight they recommend.

      MooMoo Outdoors yes I’m on the right direction. I’m also back to road cycling. I have used to ride a lot before got into kayak fishing but kayak fishing took a lot of time so dropped it. After got infected and the fact we still can’t fish but can ride, I am back to it with more renewed excitement. I’m also using Zwift and smart trainer indoor to workout and gradually build endurance. So yes, it goes in the right way. Check this link (no means by me to ask you to support, just to give you an idea). Thank you again. bit.ly/3d2CYCm (just read my story).

    Thanks for the video Moo! Perfect timing cause I'm new to kayak fishing here. How do you like the fish finder? Do you feel like the clearvu is very useful for rockfishing? And how about the mapping? I am deciding between the 4cv and 4 and trying to decide if the clearvu is worth the $80. Hard to know if it will catch me more fish haha

    • @MooMooOutdoors
      @MooMooOutdoors  Před 4 lety +1

      In my opinion, clearvu is useless when rockfishing. I never use cv in the salt. They are good when I'm fishing very shallow 20 feet or less and I get a more detailed image of down trees and structure but in deeper water I don't notice any difference from chirp.

      Sorry it looks like I didn't answer all your question. Yes I like striker 4. It does not have mapping. It's just simply a gps. You can mark waypoints and it does track where you traveled. Only downside I see is tgat screen is kind of small at 3.5 inches but that also means it draws less power. Striker 4 plus has a little bigger screen though.

    Moo, I have a question and was wondering if you can answer it. I have a paddle kayak and want to take it out in the ocean but I heard having a paddle kayak puts you in bigger risk of a shark attacking the yak rather then a pedal drive kayak, would you know if that is true or just wrong place wrong time kind of thing?
