This Yamaha will never die no matter how hard I’ve tried

I pulled one of these out of my neighbor's yard recently it's been sitting there for 4 years, I sprayed the carburetor out with some carb cleaner and toss some fresh gas in it and it started right up.
I've replaced the carburetor since, altho unnecessary, I got one really cheap, and I gave it an engine oil change. My plug was so tight an impact gun wouldn't remove it so I flushed it with fresh oil and pumped it out 3-4 times until it came out clean.
The thing is a champ for running so well. A suggested mod is an inline-fuel filter, I had dirt in mine from sitting and it caused the float needle to stick open (on both new and old carbs) and just overfill the bowl and flood the engine constantly.
I'm just wishing I could find a video on replacing the cylinder, I can hear my piston going up and down as it runs, haven't borescoped it yet, but I'm pretty sure it's rusty as shite.
It starts first turn of the engine without choke, and starts first pull of the pull starter too. Luckily these are easy to work on.

Nice attention to detail!! I just bought a 1999 timberwolf 4x4. I'm doing a carb rebuild today. How many turns to your idle screw, get it to run that nice??

I don't remember what I had it at, I think I just followed the manual and the manual said 1&1/4 turns out I believe.

I’m having trouble starting mine. Do you know if the brake needs to be pressed for starter to engage? I’m not getting starter engagement with neutral light on and key in on position

The Brake should not need to be pressed. On mine the only thing it needs is to be in neutral for the starter to crank.

How do you put it in revere? Having trouble with mone

You have to be in 1st gear, there is a lever on the left side of the fourwheeler by the engine that you have to pull back and then it should click into reverse. You can only put it in reverse from 1st gear. Hopefully this helps you out.
