Without knowing for sure, im pretty sure the 80ies had its fill of idiots, corruption, crime. I mean id love to have been young in the 80ies and turn on the radio and good music would just appear.
I was 23. I'd just got into jogging, man those guys could run and they had the physique, not over muscled. Love the music. The action was more like dance. But you could taste the menace coming from the baseball guys. Excellent movie and a great scene. Whenever there was a fight at parties, I'd be with those guys running away. I spent a scary half hour one hot summer night hiding behind a fence while three or four guys who'd chased me walked up and down calling to each other to find out where I was hiding.
Even if Ajax is an overall idiot, you had to appreciate and respect him in this scene. He his tough as nails, gives zero f*cks, and watches out for his own. He was definitely a live wire, but I was sorry to see him get arrested (well, I was sorry to see him get taken down by pure entrapment if we really wanna go there).
@@hectorrodriquez3182 Yeah I think Swan was strong but he's the smarter fighter. He'd edge out a win, plus too Swan isn't scared of Ajax at all, he called him out Lol

The baseball furries are my favourite gang in the film because they just look so awesome and they’re very mysterious because even in the game you don’t ever hear them talk no even once and in the game you get to meet there leader unlike in the film 👍🏻
Mister Peachy I actually played the game before seeing the movie, I thought everything would included even the destroyers, was satisfied but kinda let down
Ajax was surrounded by at least 8 guys all with Baseball Bats who were hell bent on taking him out. What does he do? He threatens shove a bat up one of their asses and opens a case of whoop ass. Ajax was a fucking MAN and a solid stand up guy.
Wow how things have changed. Notice how when two opponents would square off, the others stand back and let them fight? Not like today, where all 6 guys would jump on one guy, like a pack of cowardly wolves.
Yes, its just a movie. But that doesnt cancel out the fact that people used to fight it out one on one. None of this cowardly 5,6, 8 against one crap. There is nothing brave or tough about ganging up on someone.
The baseball furies were somewhat of a problem in the game tho. At least they were on the hardest setting. The turnbull ACs could scrap a little bit too
@@jg708257 the hurricanes were all fat and out of shape. It's just that there were so many of them. I agree with @Cam Valles the Turnbull ACs could definitely fight
Fox wasn't too bad though. Ajax was the toughest but not the smartest. Swan is like having no sperms to shoot at some whore. Rembrandt (RIP Sanchez) were not too weak but the weakest in the gang. I don't know about Cleon's though. His ass been whooped like 12 seconds by gangs packing like wolfs.
@@thegoldensea_ Fox never got to prove himself. Swan was smart and strong. Cleon took out the Rogues and was tough in the game. Ajax was the strongest but not smart. Rembrandt was too fragile. Despite the advantage in numbers, the baseball furies did not rush the crowd with bats, but gave the opportunity to fight back. The fight was exclusively 1 on 1,they acted like men. In our time, a crowd with bats on one pounce.
Anyone watching them run and wish they were in their position getting chased by another group of people with your friends while that specific song played in the background ? Or just me ? 😂
Cleon would have fight them and kick ass because from the playing the warriors video game Cleon wasn’t afraid of nobody kicked anybody ass that stands in his way.

Always loved this movie. Its a shame we didnt get a ton of back story on some of these guys. But that added a charm to it cuz they were brothers. When, who was it fox? Got thrown into the train. Fuck. Brutal. Ajax was a boss. N I thought cowboy would of been tougher than he was. Swan was the man though!
I know this is a late comment but, there is a Warriors game made by Rockstar that focuses on the events before the movie and the backstory on how the Warriors was created
Yes they did...All New Yorkers who lived in NYC in the 70s knew 96 st station was loaded with cops 24H because it was the border of upper class neighborhood and the ghetto upper west side...it allways amased me how the director had this knowledge
Mercer Jones They didn't know they were going to come out of the station, every gang was looking for them and keeping tabs via that radio DJ who was giving a play by play of where they went. If they'd gotten off the train at 59th or something they probably would have fought some other gang. 96th just so happened to be Furies turf.
smshah232 I wonder if it actually was ”Furies turf”. I’ve assumed most gangs in the film were just the hand picked guys that went to the meetings, and that if they were at home turf there would be tons more gang members. For example, in the deleted scenes the Warriors are said to be a selected few out of over 100 members and affiliates
I’m sixteen and I’m really grateful that I discovered this cult classic 👌👌👌 ( I also played the game too)
