Always like how the Captain's quarters was at the very top and it had that big old panoramic window the only thing is an enemy could take a puck shot at it and take out the captain and his sleep so I imagine it had heavy shielding around it I always thought it was a beautiful ship
Beautiful model, magnificent execution of assembly and paint process and a great ending animation.
With those lines you added to the color it makes it look like some sort of exotic tropical fish
i love how it has room for LED's it would seem useful , also i adore how you watch the anime while building , its not a Yamato design i love because it didnt appear in the original but in the end its Yamato anyways but in the end its only used once , then it degrades to normal Yamato again , overall great work keep these up

You got the movie playing in the background I really need to go and dig those movies up and watch him again I really did like them as a kid and I still like it as an adult you don't know how long I've been looking for one of those models here in the United States I guess I'm going to have to order directly from Japan but I want the blue and red one it seems to be larger and a little bit more detail

I am glad that it's a snap together model glue just stinks so bad especially if you live in Japan and houses are usually smaller than they are in the United States so they can get the smell of the glue a lot quicker I like to snap together models so much cleaner and you don't get glue streaks all over it I think I need to go on and order me one of these sets I wonder how you convert dollars to yen

They make those instructions in English there's a lot of Americans who are my age who remember space cruiser Yamato as the Argo and Star blazers it was sold to the United States the show or movie and chopped up in the little 30 minutes segments but in the 90s I managed to get my hands on the full Japanese movies space cruiser Yamato and Albuquerque Yamato

I know it's late but let me answer your question. The ship is from the remake anime series 'Space Battleship Yamato 2199' (2012 version)
This particular model in this video is from 'Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love' (still in the remake timeline). It's the final battle version after Yamato was undergoing repair and emergency refit from her sister ship 'Ginga' (BBY-03) with more AA/CIWS, new main guns, and a new large scale high-dimensional radar. It's a heavily beefed up version only used one time in the final battle of the series. Hope that helps mate🙌🏾

塗らなくていい。
エッチングも出来ないことは無いけどやらない方がいい。
余程上手くやらない限り塗る過程でぐちゃぐちゃになるし多分プライマーも禿げる。

2199と2202どっちも作ったけど、2202はなかなかよかったですよ。
2202は電飾できるけど、めちゃくちゃお高いんですよねw
普通に一つ1500円とか...(絶望)

2199初期のは 電飾は自分でLEDパーツを工作で仕込まないと電飾は出来なかった。2202初期版は電飾出来る仕様になってたから
むしろ最初からやってくれたら
電飾にさいして苦労はしなかった

ヤマト世代のオッサンにはこれはヤマトではない！艦首にパルスレーザーあるなんて、それはアカン！
あれは戦艦大和の最後の仕様で機銃座が艦首にあったことに由来していると思います。まあそれより莫大な戦闘艦船がいるガトランディス中枢部にヤマト一艦で殴り込みをやらせるなら銀河の主砲を艦側面や艦底部にでもムリヤリ増設するべきだったのでは？と思います。ますますカッコ悪くなるけど。
そういう風に拒否ばかりしてたら高齢化でヤマトの存在忘れ去られちゃうよ

まぁ、正直リメイク世代にもこのデザインあまり受けてないけどな
@Evullem1 固いんじゃなくて、昔からのヤマト世代ならわかるはず。ヤマト愛40年だから。新車より、旧車の良さがわからない人にはわからないでしょう。
