    They really took their time to design this thing...
    Save for the bottom of the hull all seperation lines are "panel" lines, th designers must have really loved this series/ship.

    Can you list the parts you used for lighting and where to get them. Also, a list of paint colors you used. Hard to write then down when the video is running. Thanks for the awesome video.

    The trans yellow version of this set is only $60 on Amazon. Its a good way to get a 1/1000 yamato for cheap as its identical to this set with decals just molded in a different colour.

    Awesome Build! I ordered same kit and look forward to it's arrival. I mostly build WWII tanks but loved this ship and show as a teenager! Great job with the lighting. I too would like to know the lighting kits used.

    I wish bandai got into the military vehicle market. seeing how well they did in an 1/1000 for this ship i wonder how a real life yamato would have been if they made it. I always wanted to build model ships but don't have the time and skill to paint them properly.

    Hi there. I've been going through your videos, trying to learn as much as I can as a first time painter, and I'm desperate for some advice on Acrylics vs Enamel.
    I see that you primarily use Acrylics. Can you please tell me why you prefer those over others? From all that I've read, my main concern is that people say Acrylics are easy to scratch, although I imagine that the top coats offer some protection against damaging the paint by fiddling with the model to get it into a cool pose.
    On the subject of top coats, I've never noticed you putting a final top coat in your videos. I know that the what most like to do is:
    Primer > Paint > Gloss Coat > Panel Lining > Final Top Coat (Gloss or Matte)
    Finally: Will the Acrylic paint fade as time goes on, or do the Top Coats seal it well enough so that the model will keep it's looks throughout the years?
    Edit: After pre shading, how many layers of paint do you spray over it, so that it has a nice finish, without loosing the shaded look?

    Love your build. Quick question what size needle do you use your airbrush for your pre shading? I'm about to try pre shading for the 1st time but I am not sure my needle will get me fine enough lines

    In Italy this model is sold for 60 dollars(about 50 euros) meanwhile the 1/500 for 130 dollars(about 115 euros), I can't choose which to build AAAAH

    • @DMW-iq2ie
      @DMW-iq2ie Před 3 lety

      If you’re willing to spend the extra money I’d say go for the 1/500. It would probably be a little easier to keep up with the smaller pieces since they would be a little bigger than they are on this model.
