Aside from the obvious comment about your paint job I was very impressed by the original kit itself. A great kit to get young modelers into the hobby. Even before you painted it, that kit built into a very handsome model.

Putting on chrome like paint on a kit is a painful and tedious process that I know first hand with I painted some of my gunpla kits metallic. Your process is amazing considering the amount of patience you have to put in to just get it right. You did a great job on this ship!
Wow! To be honest, at first I thought "That's a stupid idea". But, I must also honestly say, "That is super cool!" It isn't a stupid idea. If I were to do something like this, I think I'd fill the hull with modeling clay and lead to make it heavier and feel like it might be solid gold. Well Done!!
Hi, Great video in many ways👍🏻. First, this kit is beautiful to start with, with colored parts that don't really need much paint, mostly a touch here and there, a wash and a mat or satin finish would be enough. Second, the chrome is great and the gold finish is hard to spray evenly and you did amazingly well👍🏻. It's surprising that there is so many chrome paints available now and no polished brass or gold, it would be great for antique cars, for example (I use Rust-oleum metal mirror finish gold and it's pretty good, through an airbrush, directly on plastic, as a primer ruins it). Third, the idea is very original and the result very cool. Thank you, Great model, as always👍🏻.
Good video and great job with the Kongo battleship. The gold paint you put on it reminds me of the consumable camouflage from ranked battles in World of Warships. Greetings from Mexico and as Kongo would say... BURNING LOVE! PS: where can I get that simple model to put it together
