INGREDIENTS
Cilantro lime rice
1 Tbs olive oil
1 cup White rice
1 and 1/2 cup Chicken stock
1 small onion
1/2 tsp garlic salt
half of a lime zest
half of a lime juice
1/2 cup cilantro
Yellow Rice
1 Tbs olive oil
1 cup White rice
1 and 1/2 cup Chicken stock
1 small onion
1/2 tsp numeric powder
1/2 tsp garlic salt
Mexican Rice
1 Tbs olive oil
1 cup White rice
1 and 1/2 cup Chicken stock
1 small onion
1/2 cup Salsa
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp chipotle powder

I’ve made the yellow rice many times and it’s amazing. It goes well with pretty much anything. I have it with saffron chicken, and in burritos. The cilantro lime rice is also better than ones shown in other vids too.

Love the yellow rice. I've been trying to include Turmeric in my cooking more often and that rice dish was amazing!. I added a bit of black pepper as it helps your body absorb the turmeric better.
My favorite rice trick is to turn off the heat about 5-7 minutes before the rice is done. The water is absorbed just fine, but there is no risk of any sticking at the bottom of the pan.
Gas ranges should be less time, since there is no residual heat coming off the burner itself.

I made the yellow rice and it turned out to be one of the best rice dishes I’ve ever made. I don’t like onions so I substituted the frying step with some curry leaves, Cardamom and cloves and it gave such a nice aroma! Thankyou for this great recipe!

Is the first time when i cook rice... And I choose to make cilantro after your recipe.. It tasted amazing, my fiance doesn't like homemade rice, and he prefers to order from Indian food shops after I made this one he proposed me !!! Thank you for your recipes. I made the yellow rice because I was making baked pork chops and brussels sprouts and somebody said A great side dish would be yellow rice. I just made it and it’s good and it compliments everything else on the dish. Good job. I like the variety of colors of your Dutch oven’s. Mine is red. But that Emerald Green one is very cool. Miracle

Absolutely love these ideas. What a brilliant video. I love adding flavour to rice but have never known any other recipes to try. The one I use I learnt from my Columbian sister in law and essential you put oil in the pot/rice cooker then onions and garlic and let them cook for a little while and then add the rice and salt with water of course (taste till you know there is enough salt) then once done it’s beautiful rice. I can’t wait to try these recipes!

I usually cook my rice in a cooker and add the seasoning to boil along also. I'll typically use coconutmilk, turmeric and even sesame oil.

Hi Claudia, Love this video. I also have trouble getting the stains off of the pans. When you cook a lot, out pans get very discolored. I have made a paste of vinegar and baking soda, smeared it on the stain and let it soak for a few hours. Then I rinse and spray it with bleach. I can usually brighten them up. I know how critical the audience can be. Best of luck to you. I aspire to be like you when I grow up. lol
