It's crazy to see about 5 years later how much they have grown in their production of music videos and the quality, especially after watching like the Queen in 5 minutes or Boy Bands medley.... their videos are off the scale now and that considering that this is one was really fun and so creative already! I've just totally fallen in love with Voiceplay's talent and creativity so quickly, they are so underrated. You can really hear, see and sense all the love and heart they put into every video and song!
One thing I love about VoicePlay is that apart from everyone being awesome, VoicePlay always gives every member a moment to shine, not just having one star surrounded by the others. Sometimes in other groups, although there are people equally good, some of them won't get chances to show that.
Geoff looks like a disney prince and sounds like a disney villain and I couldn't love it more.

Been a music geek for pretty much all my life (Grew up on Phantom and The Opera, even memorized the lyrics and somehow understood the plot at 8 yrs old), and I joined Choir in highschool and stayed in it all four years. I love Acapella, and this group is pure talent. Keep doing what you're doing guys, you're awesome.

BTW, you guys should look into a way to easily find your older videos on your youTube site. Once, it was easy on youTube to just start with the oldest video, but no more. And so, if we don't know the song already, or it doesn't suddenly pop up, we don't know about it. Maybe a 'playlist' by year?
The choreography is, I guess you could say cheesy but that's what makes it interesting, unique and very lovable!

As an a capella fan in general, I love this kind of music. What I don't like is when people make comments like "this group did it better," or "they're OK but this other group is amazing!" For my fellow Pentatonix fans, please be respectful. And to fellow VoicePlay fans (yes, I like them too), don't play the comparison game either. I'm sure neither group likes it as it is kind of a putdown on both ends. That being said, let's just enjoy the music.

While it may seem that Geoff attracts a lot of subscribers, we can't deny each VoicePlay member's individual talent. They are great at what they do. And that's not the only thing they are good at. Have you seen how VP interacts with the live audience? They attract people across all ages, and culture. Let's be grateful and happy that we have a variety of special talent to enjoy listening to. Social media is just a popularity poll. Sure, there are other groups who are more popular, but that's because they are younger, they are given more opportunities, & producers spend a lot to market them. VP guys on the other hand have YEARS of experience. And that's what makes them that good.
I am a super PTX fan and I found these guys the other day by chance and I am obsessed! I'm mad at CZcams for not putting them in my suggestions. Like, hello you already know I dig a capella. Anyway, I don't get why people have to choose whether PTX or Voiceplay is better. They're different. We should be glad we get to listen to both AND be grateful the a capella world is becoming so successful.

2016 - Pentatonix (I might have heard one of their covers even earlier)
2018 - Home Free (Learned about when Avi who used to be with PTX sung with this group the “Ring of Fire”)
2019 [This Week] Voice Play - Was looking for P!ATD covers and came across 2 covers with all my favorite P!ATD Songs which made me fall in love all over again happily finding a new band
These guys look like they're having a ton of fun, and they sound absolutely amazing! Win/win in my book. Y'all are doing amazing!
I love when Layne and Geoff push them out of frame so Eli can come back up with the Ring Pop, which, post Deadpool is even more hilarious.

Geoff’s deep voice makes my chest vibrate! Literally! Not a sexual comment! It does. And the ranges these guys have blow my mind. I would love to hear them team up with Adam Lambert. I’m not really sure why. His range is one of the best ever, Brian May said it is even better than Freddie Mercury’s. No joke! But he wasn’t saying Adam is better, just that his range is humongous. Freddie is Freddie, Adam is Adam, and they both rock in their versions of songs.

I like both Voiceplay and PTX's versions. Voiceplay is so uplifting and cheerful (got this one on repeat), while PTX is techno and cool.

I don't know what's all this shit about. I love listening to VoicePlay as much as to PTX, Home Free or even Street Corner Symphony. They all are more than great with what they're doing and everyone should calm the fuck down. Just appreciate the hard work and enjoy the music. Some covers are better than others, but there's no accounting for tastes.

I don’t really know much as far as voice types go, but through some google searches, it seems like the avg person might have around two octaves with trained singers having more, Brendon Urie has around three octaves and six notes, Geoff has a solid four octaves and a considerable amount of notes(though I’m having trouble judging how many and if he solidly has them or not because either my ears or my speakers don’t want to cooperate with me), but yeah, unless bass singers usually have more of a range than normal people(which a few websites didn’t seem to suggest was the case, but I really don’t know), then Geoff really is insane as far as range goes. (But he should get the compliment of being an amazing singer by any range he has-I’d take quality over quantity, and we’re spoiled with wide quantities of quality) That part in particular might not be a stretch for bass singers, but damn it sounds good!
(Another note, I find it a little bit funny that the person recorded with the widest range ever has 10 octaves, but you can’t hear five of them because they’re under 20hz(around where human hearing stops))
At 00:58, Geoff starts on a B1, hits it again at 1:01, then at 1:07 ends on a B1 (“gone” which is sung) followed by an earth shaking E1 (bass growl). You hear the same E1 again at 1:11 and 1:13-1:14 (although his lips in the video are singing “no” with the rest of the group).

i sing in an acappella group..and we r called ""vokalz""i look up to group like voiceplay because they are just so original..if u listen to voiceplay's album they sing exactly the way u hear them sing on stage. they add very little effects on their voices ,they are very real and original ,,their style of singing and arrangements is just so cool,,i never get that with pentatonix or homefree. trust me we know the truth,,voiceplay dont need to compete with any group because these groups are competing with voiceplay instead ..i have been listening to voiceplay for a very long time way before pentatonix or homefree started,voiceplay has been on road shows,concerts and more..VOICEPLAY IS MY TEAM ACAPPELLA GROUP,,,good work guys..
