5 years between Elder Scrolls games… oh my goodness, if only this was still a thing 😢 Even every 6 to 8 years, just not the 15+ years that it is taking now!
Oblivion will always be among my most favorite game... from its music, to its magnificent scenery to even its enemies...
It had some of the most amazing quests and interesting characters, loved the dark brotherhood questline....
Plus it's pure gold shivering itself dlc with the legend himself sheogorath.
I made a level 49 barbarian. Tried going with magic. Too late. You have to learn certain skills early. Once you've cleared alot areas, it is difficult to level certain skills up.
You could compare the armors and weapons.
I find Skyrim has more striking, distinct silhouettes and shapes, but Oblivion's feel more grounded in reality and also has more detailed textures (not in terms of resolution, but in terms of how fine the details are)

Wow this video made me so nostalgic. I got the game of the year edition of Oblivion sitting around in my Steam library and I think I know what I´m going to do now :)

Kinda jealous you can enjoy Oblivion. Due to the old fashioned gameplay I never got into it but Skyrim worked for me.. easily in my top 10 games list ever. So I'm looking forward to Skyblivion next year

5:45 what’s funny is that this feature carried over to fallout 4 and it was a great way to clear bodies from sanctuary hills. Just send them down river. Lol

Good video, im thinking about buying morrowind and oblivion on steam (they are very cheap). 4:30 i dont know if you know but in skyrim you can also see how the npc feels about you when you interact with them (they will greet and smile if you are a friend).
Npcs have reacted like that since Morrowind

Oblivion is the better game. The Thieves Guild quest line alone is better than all of Skyrim. I respect Skyrim hugely. The Oblivion experience is a cut above.

Nah don't agree,oblivions best attributes were the absolute rare and random stuff you could find no matter your level in some cases,but skyrim takes everything to a whole new level,you obviously haven't played enough skyrim
morrowind wins
enjoy oblvion more the charter building and due to the diversity in quests you cant just kill your way throu every quest detected like in skyrim the dark brotherhood and theives guild reward sealth way more in oblivion
I actually really dislike the killcam, it kinda takes me out of it
I'd say combat is better in Skyrim, whereas setting and quests are better in Oblivion
Honestly. oblivion was fun. But in my humble opinion. The main story was meh (Skyrims wasn’t that much better either). Leveling system is awful. Cyrodiil just felt too bland and not that creative of a setting. It’s still a great game. It has a better thieves guild, mages guild and a few daedric quests. Still great. But not as good as I feel some people believe it to be. And.. this is probably unpopular but Skyrim had the Best DLCs and Daggerfall had (my) best main story lol
Oblivion you can play out of the box bugg free and complete the game noticing only 1 bugg along the way . while skyrim yeah you have to mod or console fix things. thats the biggest comparison ...
I like Oblivion more. Weapons and armor are pretty and elves hasn't that unbearable long chin, also graphics looks better althought not so detailed but smoother and little cartoonish. And levelling system is more strategish and there is actually a goal to get your attributes to 100.
Skyrim has no incentive to try another build. This is where I stopped the video.
Skyrim allows you to be a master of EVERYTHING (no major skills) Why would you start a new character?
