The owner was a bit scared but he was definitely having the time of his life!
And I agree that engine sound is amazing
I think a bit scared but mostly disbelief
yeah that intake roar wasnt far off a nice B18 or a K24. it had good tone, and a great peak RPM. glorious little engine that just delivered out of every corner
@@ghomerhust This literally looks B18/K24 type of fun, if not even better, would be interesting to see with full race setup and rear discs.
He would probably be less scared if onle he cleaned the windshield to be able to see through that glass
He would probably be less scared if onle he cleaned the windshield to be able to see through that glass
Misha installing the speedo cam at 180kmh/h without any fear is mindblowing 😂
The car owner had the fear part covered for Misha 😂
come on, he was only doing 150 😏
seeing so many people be amazed by such speeds makes me want to drive a car so much! I am 16 though but i basically could drive any car with no problem. for some reason i dont fear fast speeds at all. I will need to wait 2 more years!
@@Yamaha01.What do you mean you could drive any car with no problem, you're not even old enough to drive yet?
It sounds like a really dangerous thing in your character @@Yamaha01.
I love how Misha doesn't diss a petrolheads car and always finds positives to encourage the owner :)
The car community is very toxic atm which makes people like Misha very exceptional. I dont see anything that could be dissed when someone simply loves a certain car.
completely agree. just because it's not a 6 digit super car doesnt mean it's not a TON of fun. cheap little builds like this are the root of all car culture, and those rich pricks need to remember that. even guys with multiple supercars like tavarish still love getting into a little hooptie and ripping it on a track. driving a slow car fast is ALWAYS better than driving a fast car slow.
How can you diss a 205? It has always been known as a very good hatchback. Just an LSD bucket seats, and a better steering wheel what this car is missing.
@@horvathr95 No dissing from me. But as the owner of a brand new (and at the time, very rare) fast road car in the 90s, I let a BTCC driver have a go at it on the Silverstone track. The seats had no support (farmers chairs), the brakes were not up to circuit driving and the understeer which was quite noticeable on the road, was horrendous on a big fat circuit like Silverstone. The car? One of the original Subaru Impreza Turbos. So my point is, a good road car may still be a disappointment on a circuit, but Misha won't leave the owner feeling small or his cherished 'whip' to be inadequate. Proper gent :)
Ive driven a 205 GTI and it was a very fun car to drive!. And what most people today does not know, is how it feels to drive a car that weighs less than 1900kg. Even with less than super suspension, the low weight makes up a lot of that.
First off i want to thank Misha for this insane fun lap! It’s hard to grasp what he’s able to do with what hes got and continuing to blow your mind! Second off, the next upgrade deff will be a rear axle with discs😂 i don’t think the drums love me after this lap😂
306 hubs into the 205 GTI beam is all you need. Easy and cheap. I assume you're already running a GTI rear beam? If not, do that too.
Consider 406 V6 brakes for another affordable upgrade. Pretty sure they fit under the Speedlines.
The other big thing is the diff. Chuck a Quaife into it. Worth every penny. A Gripper would be full race spec, but the difference is not as big as the increased maintenance and pain in the arse of driving on the road.
The last thing I would recommend is swapping a tighter ratio steering rack in. In Australia and Japan we got a unique model called the 205 SI that has an excellent rack which makes for a good upgrade from the GTI rack.
The XU10J4RS (assuming that is the engine you've swapped in) also has room to grow if you ever want. ITBs and a good tune will get you most of the way to 200. Probably want a good baffled sump as well - the pick-up can become an issue around higher G corners.
J'amie le 205 mon ami!
Your reactions are great dude glad you enjoyed the lap!
This was the most fun lap ive ever watched. What a rocketship.
As a non-petrolhead I understood none of that, but I appreciate you taking the time to drop some knowledge for OP
Nice car, amazing exaust sound!! Your reactions are so autentic 😂
I love the fact that Misha doesn't "discriminate" and tries out more attainable, every-day cars. Keep it up

This was way more funny than i thought it would be. Give this man limited slip dif and better brakes.
Ditto. Also agreed on the upgrade path.
Upgraded interior (205 xs?) will make the car more desirable as well. And add sportier seats plus rev counter.
It's need GTI suspension also

Somebody tag ol cleetus 😂 he will love the fact a air freshner is in a pug 205 ragging around the nurburgring 😅
He wouldn’t even know what a “pug” 205 is lol
Hell yeah brother
The Cap of the Owner too :D He got like the whole Cleeter Package lol
He’s got the Cleetus hat too. Do it for Dale brother!
Elle va vite la vieille
That was my favourite run yet, amazing car, great passenger, not too much traffic, engine noise is *chef kiss*. We need more 80s/90s hatchbacks
Gti6 swapped 205s = unlimited fun 😊
the two of you are Bonkers... one for driving it to the edge, the other one for sitting there and smiling.
Amazing! Thank you for sharing. Best moment of my day!
Misha just casually multitasking 😂
I'm sure, Misha could shave neatly at a speed of 250 km per hour using the rearview mirror.
The guy going from concerned to amused and back again over and over was hilarious. Cool little car.
I absolutely love when Misha is wrestling the older cars around the track full out.
Owners reactions are priceless.
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEohshitohshitWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEohshitohshitWEEEEEEEEEEEEE! haha that about sums it up
As a French myself, I love watching Misha often having great fun in little angry French cars 😊🥰
I love French cars, they are "foolproof" about handling thx to amazing suspension and FWD
les voitures françaises ne sont plus énervées depuis
Liked to have seen the faces of the drivers been passed by this fun little French basket 😅🇫🇷
This was the best passenger reaction of any prior videos. His facial expressions said it all... Those bursts of laughter were moments of fear, but utter enjoyment at the same time. This guy had the ride of his life! Excellent video!
Scrawny little dude is a good match for the amped up pug, gr8 facial expressions. One of the better laps, sick of the track day specials. Good job.
yeah these little shed builds are where it's at. guys up late banging the car together with mates, having a few beers, wondering how it'll run when the sun comes up. that's what it's all about.
That 205 is living its best life! appreciate what this owner has done here
When Misha says whoohoo, you know he's having fun..
7:25 he wanted to mess with that BMW 😂
@@kristianhartlevjohansen3541 with a twinkle in his eyes...
This is the best misha video I have ever watched.
His face throughout had me in stitches. What a legend this lad is. And that moustache is beautiful.
You just send me back about 30 years when i sit my arse in a 205 diesel turbo and almost shit my pants. Never took the 1.9 GTI but i can still remember the 600 Kg flying at 100 Km/h in a 30 corner.......You are the one Misha. Thanks also for the guy who have that widow maker!
There aren't 205 with 600kg. The diesel ones are heavier than this one on the video, so I guess you wanted to write 900 kg 😉
The "common" mod that was done with the 205 at the time was putting a MI16 cylinder head, which was kinda plug and play on the 1.9GTI. For the huge power, but heavier on the front (and destroying the balance) was the 2L TCT (turbo with 150hp) which fitted quite nicely, and then turbo swap.
@@adriendebosse6941
Yeah but the XU10J4RS (which he has now?) is better again. Can be charged (sc or turbo) if you want, but it's not an easy thing to do. NA it will get a little over 150kw with the right parts, and still will be under a ton.
@@bernardo_rodri
I ran a 1.6 as a rally car that weighed 700kg wet. Strip out the interior, stereo, AC and switch the seats out for lightweight buckets (without the tilting mechanism).
These cars are one of the best FWD drivers cars ever made. Just don't crash one without a cage 😅
@@adriendebosse6941 205 tct it was my best expérience and pleasure during 4 years with only 170chx but the turbo change the game I was 22 and one night 2 guys stolen my car and destroy it I was so sad
The owners reaction is priceless. Enjoying every second of it and thinking Misha is a mad man going 170+kmh and putting back the go pro!
As an avid golf and racing fan, you can imagine my delight seeing Cameron Smith getting his pug thrashed around the ring
Haha so im not the only one who thought the exact same thing lol.
I thought i recognized him. This golfing multi-millionaire prob has a couple of fast Germans and italians in the garage, and he brought his Pug...LEGEND.
Misha, what a gent you are. This is my favourite reaction by an individual, he was scared, suprised and just loved his facial expressions. You made his day & one he'll never forget I'm sure. Will also no doubt treasure the video and show his grandkids. Top Man Misha thanks. Do more of this type of car, showcases his hard work too!
Owners face says it all! Perfect as usual Misha! Keep up the excellent work!
The owners facial expressions were classic😅 he was soooo on edge at times, and other times he was enjoying seeing his car being driven to the limit. You could see he was really impressed at Misha taking turns at 160km/h, maybe more in shock, but certainly impressed😅 the car performed really well nonetheless, and sounded hella great too 👌🏼 the lil Peugeot that could😅😅
Awesome little sleeper setup there! Always loved the older French GTI’s! and Misha that seemed like a decent smile you had going there looked like good fun😁
80s euro hatches were the best! so much character and fun!
I love people like this. Small budget, humble, positive vibes from this kid, absolutely love it! Great to see you made his day Misha!
Love it ! 🥰 .. a 205 GTi 1,9 was the first car i experienced more then 200km/h on the Autobahn 30 years ago as a passenger, my cousin had one .. was a real hot hatch and pretty quick for the 90s
Probably one of my dreams cars. Especially with the 16V head mod. 1.9 makes about 160-170HP
What a fun lap!Old hatchbacks with a little fettling seem to be lots of fun
They are often more fun to drive than some modern more expensive and powerful cars.
Owners face really had ALL the expressions during the lap!! 😂
C'est ça qu'on veut voir plus souvent ! Magnifique tellement mieux que les autres plus moderne
Even the slow 205 is fun to drive, had one once loved it.
i wouldn't call this one slow 😁
@@Flurry17 yeah ofcorse. I had in mind 1.4 1.6l orginal 205 :D
@@Maltinis I understood you and i think even 1.6 is not slow 😅 And i bet that 1.4 has even less weight and 70hp is not bad at all for that.
owned a 1.4 once. installed a bucket seat. best car i have had.
Years ago I bought a 1.6 205 gti for a £100 it’s had some dents down one side from a baseball bat apart from that it was mint and definitely one of the most fun cars I have owned it felt quick and my god you could throw about
Misha I've watched quite a few of your videos not all of them, but for me this was to date the best I've watched. A blast from the past car that had me grinning from sofa, a great passenger and of course a great drive.
Reminds me of the fun I had as a younger man in cars without stability control, traction control, abs, pas etc etc. Fantastic, and if your passenger reads this, you have a great car my friend.
😊
Great Misha👏 You boiled the 205🔥and boiled the owner with smiles😂he was so amused to see his souped-up 205 racing to the limit🔥👍
I had an 1.6 with 115 hp, it was like carting on the road!
Best hot hatch ever!
5 gt turbo best hot hatch ever
I used to own a 106 Rallye, and every time we went cruising in the mountains it felt like I drove it just like Misha drives this 205.
Clearly he has more talent than I did, but the full send driving style just feels so effortless in these little french nuggets.
Low weight and a revvy engine is a great combo, definitely the most fun car I've ever owned!
Props to the owner for making this happen, and I hope you enjoy your 205 for many years to come still
I've been waiting specifically for a 205 lap, soo good. Love them beautiful old cars👍 so raw. I used to have one with an mi16 engine, sounded and went lovely
The Lion goes from strength to strength 👍😉💪
Altijd weer die gekke Nederlanders 😂 cool car and what a drive ! love too see the old cars on track with Misha.
What a funny dude , maybe the most sympathetic guy from the NL ive ever seen so far ! Great car, awesome sound and cool story 🙂👌🏻
Possibly my favourite video you have done, Misha! "Old Skool" and the reactions from the mullet man are epic!
These are the most fun vids to watch...seeing the owner & Misha just endlessly smile throughout the whole lap having a blast.
Love the passengers facial expressions and excitement. Seems like a great guy. Awesome car!
Much love for the 205!
It was my third car I have ever driven. But the first with proper driving when I was little. Still think they are the best looking hatchbacks ever made.
Was the first car I ever drove
This is one of the most enjoyable laps I've watched from you. Seems like a very fun car
This lads reactions are the absolute best, I just smiled the entire time watching this lap. Definitely one of the most entertaining laps for sure. Well done to him for building that old school pocket rocket and Misha for really showing him what his efforts could achieve. So much fun!
11:16 oyoyoyoy😂 I'm sure this lap was so much fun to be there, the video is gold.
this is gold! So funny 😂 the car, the owner, Micha and just the pure joy of racing!
Fantastic, don’t get me wrong I like the modern cars but this is just great!! Love the older cars, twin cams, EP3’s etc where the owners have put their heart and soul into the car and more than likely on a limited budget with the work done by themselves.
This is so much fun! My brother was driving the Peugot XS 1.4. Was faster then the VW Corrado back in the days. The weight/to power from these 205 is great!
I loved that!! I was laughing the whole lap watching the lads expressions and his T shirt getting more soaked as the lap unfolded! I think you made his year!!
And that engine note.... loved that!
A hair heavier than a beetle and nearly 170hp sounds like great fun. I love it!
That was awesome and hilarious. Love to see such small and light cars with just a 2.0l engine that makes them fly. Also the car was so small that the gopro facing you guys was a rear cam too, ha ha.
This video made me smile, made me laugh, and made me wish I lived the Europe so I could have Misha drive a car I owned
ive had a few solid little shed built track cars that i think misha would have enjoyed. i sure did!
You need to take this man with you on all of your runs. He’s awesome and his attitude is a perfect compliment to yours👌
Pure driving, no electronics, around 40 years old , real sound, this is a real car.
the definition of "Full send"
What a perfect little car, congrats to owner for building such thing, perfecto
That owners face at 180 is priceless, he wonders if he tightened all the suspension bolts properly...
More like: Did i bleed the Brakes Propper without any air bubbles?
"I think we're going to need a bigger speedo..."
There's something about an old-school angry N/A Four Pot that just doesn't exist anymore. It's obvious from the state of the engine bay and the interior that this is the owners pride and joy. Lovely little car.
Misha, I had the opportunity to drive a Peugeot 205 GTI and I can tell you right away that this model you drove is much, much faster than the gti version. This is crazy how that car goes, they are really the best old cars with light weight. Great video I enjoyed every second of it. and ps. so that a man wouldn't be scared, you overtook cars and three times stronger than that little Peugeot 205.😱😱😱
2:33 Never a speedometer climbed so fast in a 205!!
Actually this one is not even that crazy. I used to own it's bigger brother with the same engine, but some guys put a homebrew 2.0 16V turbo in a 205 and that was a lot faster than this. I believe it was a combination of the 605 SRTi engine (XU10J2TE) with the 16V head off of a 306 S16 (XU10J4). Not really built for corners though.
One of my favorite laps to watch. I couldn't help but to laugh and smile.
I give your knowledge of cars a rating of 105/205.
Love your vids man!
I think the car wights with its owner 850kg 😂, thank you for reviewing an old Peugeot❤. Micha your driving skill is incredibly insane I am a big fan of you ❤💪🏻
That was a Pugging fun lap! Smiles all round, even the other drivers :D
Used to have a 205 with the 2.0 S16 engine, the slightly less power but more torque engine. Did some modifications on that as well and made great power, sound and had a lot of fun with it.
Watching this video makes me miss it a bit
Gotta get this back once he has made the changes, so much fun in a 205!!
The blink 182 gif is perfect!!!
Great drive! Makes happy. Respect for driving skills and the nice feedback about the car.
Very motivating on the build of another old Pug.

Misha, you really should try to make it a series of 80's gti's. It would be fun to see the 205 1,9 GTI and Kadett GSI, and of course Golf GTI, as original as possible.
47 seconds ago. DAMN i'm early.
My first car was a 205 GTI 1.6 so this brings memories. The expression on the owners face is the best
I had the joy of owning a 205 GTI back in 2002, i''d only been driving for 8 months and boy did it teach lessons. I learned and pushed and knew the limits in time, on country rounds around the East of England it was pure joy.
I found the original Ford Puma to be a very decent replacement some years on from that, many of the methods of driving the 205 worked perfectly in the Puma, the sound, the almost enough power, the balance and the perfect setup for a country road or a motorway. Very similar ethic to both in their design and driving experience. I miss both more than any cars i've ever owned in 22 years of driving!
Watching and listening to this took me back a little, an awesome video.
The 2 big smiles says it all....
